Yes, I do tend to give way too much info (it will help me in teaching culinary arts this fall)..........lucky you don't have to listen to me rattle on in person!!!!
Husband and I split a press pot. The waiter brought out pre-warmed cups and only poured them 3/4 full. He said this keeps the coffee hot and you drink the cupful before it cools. It wasn't a lot of coffee. We each had 2, 3/4's cups. Because there isn't a filter in the pot, you can expect to find a few grinds in your cup.

I know that there might be a few grounds, but it was more like finding a blizzard inside of a really full snowglobe. lol Hence the reason for getting another pot.
Last year on these boards I read that it was included on DDP, at Kona Cafe, when I ordered I was just given a cup which was fine. However, recently I was checking receipts in prep for this year & found I was charged for it, $7. So it must have been included, may have changed noe though.

They probably brought you a cup of of the house coffee. At Kona the house coffee is a Kona Blend Coffee which they give you by the cup. If it was the 100% Kona Coffee it would have been brought to you in a French Press. Sounds like the server may have padded your bill to boost their tip.....but that would never happen since all the servers are 100% honest.

Yes, I think you're right. I must say though he was a very pleasant server & we had a lovely time there, infact we're going again this year. I'll be specific when I order coffee & check the bill this time.
Thanks for the replies. Just an add-on question - how Disney define 1 single serving non-alcoholic beverage?
I was at Kona last year and DW asked if Frozen Cappuccino is included in DDP. Our server went to ask the manager and was approved.
At Narcoossee's / 1900 Park Fare - we were even told by the server that we can have milkshake / smoothies as our drink. But for some restaurants when I asked the server, most of them just said "pop/juices/coffee/tea".
So does it depend on the server, or the restaurant's own guideline?
