I have never stayed in the preferred loops and was hoping to get some advice about backing in with 35 foot 5th wheel with long bed crew cab truck. I'm only ok at parking camper and can do premium site ok. How much tighter are the spots in the 100/200 loops ? Thank you for any help you can give.

Well, 100 is a little tight in the turn on the far end and has some small sites. I know you can list your trailer length as a note on your reservation blah blah blah but if your neighbor across the road has his truck parked in the way or the trash can is in the way too, it can be tough.

200 is the easiest of the three Preferred loops to back into - not many short sites (but some including probably the shortest in all of FW, 201 - I spent a night in it).

300 is so tight it's the only loop to have painted lines on the campsite pavement indicating no vehicles extend past these PLEASE.

(took this picture in 300 on my Halloween trip - see the yellow paint on the ground? 300 is curvy and tight).

If you are okay with a Premium site but like the Preferred location in the Fort, reserve a Premium and put a note on your reservation (have to phone it in) for 400 loop which is just across the street from 100. I had a reservation one time for a Preferred and got bumped out when I arrived to 400/Premium across the street. It was just as close to the dock, Trails End, and beach.

Plus given your trailer and truck size, having a full concrete pad would be good. The Preferred have the gravel tent pads on the back that some people don't like to put their wheels on. And "tightness" is very site specific. 110 is short, interior on a curve, and hard to get into. 125 is very long, exterior, easy to get into (camped in it on that Halloween trip). So "it depends".

I would go with a Premium and a 400 request.

Those loops are very tight, especially 100. We had a 25 foot travel trailer and the same truck as you, and almost could not get in to our site in 100.
There are a couple of easy sites, but they are the exception. Unless very good at backing I would say no.

Just had a stay in the 300 loop . 100 and 200 are tighter . 300 is prob the easiest of the 3 , but some sites are going to be tricky .
We lucked out with our 32' towed with a Burb , and was easily able to back into 302 .

A lot of the sites will be easy to back into on almost any loop .........it comes down to where other people are parking their trucks and golfcarts , and where disney puts the trash receptacles and site markers . Its a crap shoot . You wont know till you get there .

I will say i have never been on those loops, but i have been on the oposite end of the trash can. Not fun.

Agreed. I was in the 400 loop in October, inside and on a curve. Add to that golf carts, pickup trucks, site marker signpost, trash cans, a tree and Halloween decorations make for a tight space to back in to.

Yeah I did 200 one time and that was my first and last time in preferred. 28’ TT with an F-150. I got in there but it wasn’t pretty.

Yes the bane of your existence are the obstacles parked very close to or on the road impeding maneuvering into your site. See it a lot.

Thank you for all your help.
Hopefully all the comments about the challenges getting into a site didn't scare you off. Nearly all of the Premium sites are setup so your combo (35ft trailer and longbed, crewcab truck) will fit.

The thing to remember is you can always call or go back to the office and request a different site if there is something that makes it too tough to get into. My old rig was over 60 ft total (42 ft 5er and 23 ft truck). I was always able to get a site that would work.

You guys almost scared me off! Lol. But you'll be fine, disney wants you parked, otherwise you cant spend $$$$. So , they will accommodate you and get you set up somewhere. I wouldn't worry about it. When i went, i had a tent site, then moved to a full hook up. The tent site was hard to back into, tree, garbage, cans , cars. I said to myself this is going to suck as i didnt think i vould swing it into the site. Bam first try on the money. When i moved to the huge full hook up that you could have fit 2 5ers on, it took me like 20 times back and forth to get it where i wanted it. I backed up traffic for a bit. But the reality is. No one really cares, take you time . Get it where you want it and dont get flustered if people are watching. Laugh it off. It happens to the best of us sometimes. You will be fine.

Oh, nothing to it, you just run over the stuff on the other side of the road, pumpkins, signs, charging post....
