We cannot thank you enough. This has become my most favorite hobby over the years!! Do you have any idea how many people it has helped to have fantastic trips, not to mention all of us that have gotten together and become friends on cruises etc, all because of the Dis!!! Love this place!

Hey Pete and Alex! I remember the good old days! The chat room was a riot! I especially loved the virtual tours we took of the parks. Ah, walking through EPCOT stopping for an exotic drink at each land with the rest of the DIS crew was a blast.

I think you are talking about the Wilderness (Bob Varley) virtual tours. OMG those were funny! They came a bit later but they sure made the chat room popular.
The first person I ever met in real life from the DIS was Bob's wife. We were going to a USA vs. Ireland woman's soccer game at Foxboro stadium and Diana was working the concession stand to benefit her son's high school. Bob was very insistent I had to stop by the stand.

Well Alex ... I was here too 10 years ago . My doctor *just* put me on bedrest during my pregnancy (with the little girl in my signature) and I was looking for something to fill those boring hours of reclining. I had found the DIS some months before but was not an active poster ... yet . The rest is, as they say, history.

I raise my glass in a toast to everyone who was here with us back in May, 1999 . The DIS has certainly changed but in many ways it remains the same.

Congrats and thanks not just for helping me plan trips and develop a dangeriously consuming disney obsession, but for providing an environment where I have learned new skills (sewing esp.) and met a lot of other parents of kids with disabilities. The Disboards have enriched my life in unnumerable ways.
