How do you feel about your 10 year old riding RNRC? Our's will be almost 11yrs. old when we go. Hubby saids if she wants to ride, let her. I love the ride but I'm a little scared for her to ride. I think it might be to much for her. I guess I'm just over protective.:scared:

Has she ridden any other shoulder harness rides? There are pics out there of the same coaster built in another country out in the open so if she is worried she can see how the ride actually looks (i.e., it doesn't get close to hitting itself or anything). But really, once she is strapped in there isn't much she can do about it except scream...just like everyone else...she'll live :P

Our 6 year old niece rode it numerous times, kept on wanting to return. Same as Expedition Everest, Space Mountain, Cali Screamin' in California... anything fast --- except Tower of Terror. She tried it once, didn't so much like it but tried it a second time and that was it she had her confirmation she indeed did not like that ride. She refused to go on it after the second ride. You just never know until they ride it.

My 10 year old and 8 year old ride this every time we go. They LOVE it. I was hesitant at first, but it all worked out and it is now one of their favorite rides!

Frankly, the worst part about the ride is the launch at the beginning. The rest of the ride is over quickly and is pretty tame compared to some other coasters. At age 10, I was coaxed into going on my first rollercoaster that had loops, and it was a much larger outdoor one at Hershey Park. I was hooked after that!

My daughter just turned 12 and has been riding it for a few years. We rode five times in a row once - she loves it!
Just remind her to keep her head back and point out the launch as you're waiting for your turn so it won't be a shock. I also usually ask to wait for a seat further up if I get the last two or three rows as I find the ride in the back to be rougher.

My daughter rode it at 6 and she is not a big fan but will usually do it at least once a trip. I will caution you that the cast members held up our ride vehicle last time because she had a minor meltdown:sad:. They would not let us go until she was sure she wanted to. She got it together and rode it...but no more for the rest of the trip.

If she likes other rides like that (adrenaline rush types) I say go for it! I've been a coaster rider since I was about 7. I love them!

My 9 year old who just rode in the fall said "it's a little scary at first, but it's really fun after that". As a point of reference, she loves Big Thunder and 7 dwarfs, thought Space Miuntain was fun with no scary parts and thought Expedition Everest was "a little scary but exciting"

"Thanks for riding the looper"
Hershey has some great coasters!

I find the worst part for anyone small is if your head is banging the sides of the shoulder harness.
If its a smooth ride or you fit higher up, no worries at all. get your head knocked around and even the best coaster fans are not happy

My son went on the second he was tall enough, about 6 1/2. He was devastated the trip a year before when he was to short to go. When he finally got on we went several times in a row, loved it!

My kids rode RnRC for the first time way before 10. My younger son was about 5. It's his fave ride. I would not even give it a second thought at 10.

One of our DDs (now 10) has been riding RNRC since she was 7. The other wasn't ready until she was 9. I waited until they felt they were ready and then let them try it. They love it and we go on it numerous time each trip. Is she a coaster girl? If she feels she is ready, talk to her about what to expect with the speed and the inversions, then let her try it.

You have to know your own child but I always see many children younger than that riding and loving it. If my 5 year old were tall enough I'd let her ride since she'd loved every coaster she's been on (and loved parasailing with us . . . she's a daredevil!)

DD rode it for the first time when she was 8. She loved it. She wouldn't even think of doing an outside roller coaster that goes upside down, but she is perfectly fine if she can't see the track.

My 8yr old daughter is going to ride it (I think). We're going in 4 weeks and I got a FP for her.
I found a video of the ride on youtube and let her watch it, she said she will ride it, so we'll see.

DD/DS twins rode for the first time at 7 and loved it. Just depends on the child.
