I'm in pre planning mode for a long weekend getaway to celebrate my 10 year wedding anniversary with hubby! Just us. No little ones. (A little guilt, but we also are planning a family trip in May 2017)

This trip will probably take place November 3-6, 2016. I'm thinking of booking us at either BWI or POFQ. Waiting for prices to come out on the 22nd to see how much of a price difference.

We will want to take advantage of food and wine at Epcot.

Our actual anniversary will be that Friday, November 4th. What restaurants would you recommend as a nice anniversary dinner?

Congratulations! I came across your thread looking for recommendations. Turns out we share the same 10th anniversary too!

I've seen Victoria & Albert's thrown around if you want to spend mega $$. California Grill, Narcosse (sp?), Flying Fish, and the Yachtsman are all frequently recommended.

Good luck with your search & hope you have a wonderful time celebrating!

Congrats on your wedding anniversary! We took an adults-only 10 year anniversary trip two years ago. It was one of the best trips we ever took. It was so fun and relaxing to do Disney without the kids. We had a blast. We stayed at the Polynesian for five nights so we could take advantage of the monorail. It was so romantic. But really anywhere you stay will be fabulous because without the kids, everything is so much more relaxing. We love POFQ and if staying at moderate that would be my first choice. I got upgraded to a river view one year and was on the top floor of building five. The location and view was great.

That being said, these are the restaurants we visited and loved during our trip in no particular order:

1. Victoria and Alberts for dinner: Grand California Resort: we booked this one on the night of our anniversary. I got my hair done at The Grand California's hair dressing salon. We dressed up all fancy and had an amazing meal. It was worth every penny. The food and drinks were spectacular and the service was stellar. A must do!

2. Ohana' Dinner: Polynesian Resort: we asked to be seated by a window so we could enjoy the fireworks while we ate. The dim lights and great drinks made the dinner really romantic.

3. Kona Cafe for breakfast: We ate there because we were staying on property but I would definitely go back there even if not staying on property. The breakfasts there are to die for. If you like sweet for breakfast order the Tonga Toast and if you like savoury, the Kig Kahuna is amazing. The Kona Coffee pot for 2 is a must if you like good coffee and the Lilikoi juice is so good!

4. California Grill Dinner: The Contemporary Resort: we went around sunset and really enjoyed the views while having drinks and great food. The food was above average and the drinks were amazing but the best part was the views of Magic Kingdom.

5. 50'S Prime Time Cafe Dinner: Hollywood Studios: We asked to be seated at a table with a TV (we told them we did not mind waiting). We actually had a lot of fun here. The whole restaurant is like a blast from the past. We ordered Mom and Pop style food which was really delicious and loved watching the TV playing old 50's commercials and reruns of "Leave it to beaver".

6. Sci-FI Dine Inn Theatre for Lunch: Hollywood Studios: It was really fun to be seated together in a "table" car under the star watching black and white B-movies. We had milkshakes and burgers and pretended to be teens in love on our first date.

7. Tusker House for Brunch: Animal Kingdom: We were a little apprehensive about doing a character meal on this trip since were were adult with no kids. I thought I would feel silly, but we really like the food offerings at Tusker House so went with it anyway. We had so much fun. The Characters were really into it and Goofy kept giving me hugs and kisses to make my husband jealous it was so cut. The food was solo good! We got some amazing pictures out of the whole dining experience. Love it!

8. La Hacienda De San Angel for dinner: Epcot: It was our first time trying this restaurant and it quickly became one our favourites. Now we always book this place on our return trips. The setting and lighting are so romantic. If you like Mexican food, you'll love this place. The shrimp tacos are too die for and I love their margaritas. This was my husband's favourite dining experience of the whole trip after Victoria and Alberts.

9. Les Chefs de France for dinner: Epcot: after dusk, this place becomes so very romantic. It feels like you are dining in a small cafe on the streets of Paris. The food was very good and we had a nice evening. The only criticism is that our French waiter was little bit stuffy and did not give great service but despite that it was a pleasant experience.

10. Drinking around the World in the afternoon: Epcot: Ok this is not really a restaurant but you have to try some drinks and snacks in the World Showcase. We did this instead of lunch. I recommend a signature margarita at La Cava de Tequila in the Mexican Pavilion with chips and guacamole, a beer in Germany with a soft pretzel or frankfurter, Tutto Gusto Wine cellar in Italy for a good glass of wine and an italian appetizer (you can also have a full meal here), or my favourite, a Grey Goose slushy in France with a quick stop to Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie for a tartelette aux fraises (strawberry tart). My husband had an ice cream martini at L'Artisan des Glaces in France and really enjoyed that.

11. Be Our Guest for Lunch: Magic Kingdom: I could not get reservations here for supper so went at lunch even though it is a QS meal. We had a surprising good meal. We sat in the main ballroom with the beautiful chandeliers and ceiling frescos and watched the fake snow falling from the ballroom windows. It was very romantic.

12. Beaches and Creme lunch: Beach Club: we decided to boat over to Beach Club for lunch one day while touring Hollywood Studios. The boat ride there is very pleasant and we decided to try out Beaches and Cream. We had burgers and fries and shared a huge No Way Jose sunday. It was the best burger ever and the Sunday was a killer. It was really fun and again we felt like two teens on a first date. After we took a walk on the Boardwalk. It was really nice.

We also went to Yak and Yeti for dinner: Animal Kingdom: We went at Park closing and the restaurant is nice but the food and drinks really were not that good. So I would skip this one.

Here are restaurants that others have recommended but we did not try:
Jiko and Sanaa at AKL, The Wave at the Contemporary, Yatchman's Steakhouse at YC, Shula's and Bluezoos at Swan\Dolphin, Flying Fish on Boardwalk, Artist Point at WL, Narcosses at GF just to name a few.

We also went to Le Cellier in Epcot with the kids one year and we really enjoyed that meal. It is quite a romantic setting for a dinner for two and I recommend it highly.

Oh and by the way, I had bought a Joby Magnetic Gorilla pod for my portable camera to take pics of ourselves without asking for help. It was a really good investment and we got to take tons of pics of ourselves on our trip. Here is a link if you want to see what it looks like: http://joby.com/gorillapod/magnetic

Hope that helps :wave2:
