We will be taking advantage of the free dining in August. It will be our 10 year wedding anniversary   We also went on our honeymoon 10 years ago to WDW. Where would be the most romantic place to have a very special dinner? Any suggestions or ideas would be most helpful. Thank You!

If money is no object and you don't mind going off the plan for a night I vote for Victoria and Albert's Chef's Table if they still do that. DH and I went on an anniversary trip and it was wonderful.

I think that V&A is the obvious choice, but I guess I would suggest that if romance is the critical issue, the chef's table might not be exactly what you're hoping for. It's great, to be sure, but not romantic in the same sense that the main dining room is. Just to give you an example, we ate at the chef's table, and were about 8 feet from a 5 gallon plastic container (see through) with goose livers soaking in milk. It was, actually "romantic," but just a different kind of romantic.

3 past dinners that were very romantic:
Bistro de Paris for Valentines Day dinner and window table
San Angel Inn - table at the water's edge for wedding anniversary
Rose and Crown front and center table for Illuminations for husband's birthday.
Didn't feel have the same feeling from California Grill or any of the other nice resort restaurants.

"Romantic" is a somewhat realative concept, but the most "adult friendly" (ie quiet) spots we're found:
V&A
Palio
Citricos
Bistro D Paris
Blue Zoo (provided there are no conventions at the Dolphin)
The Wine room at California Grill
San Angel at the Mexico Pavillion has a romantic atmosphere, but the tables are rather close together---

Take the money you saved by the free dining and splurge at V&A. I would agree with Lark that you do not want the Chef's Table. Anyway, it is only available for one reservation per night.

Keep the suggestions coming!! Thank you Thank You! Does anyone know if V
and A is included on the dining plan as a 2 credit table service? Just wondering! We are willing to pay whatever for a nice quiet dinner.

Victoria's and Albert's is not on the dining plan.

Might I suggest a romantic EVENING to celebrate your 10th Anniversary?

My suggestion would be EARLY Dinner (like 5:30) at either Yatchsmen's Steakhouse or Flying Fish or the like…..both are favorites of ours.

After dinner, stroll along the Boardwalk and WALK over to the International Gateway for EPCOT and a viewing of Illuminations.

When you enter the park, turn right and walk over towards Monaco and find a viewing space.

Send your husband to go get a frozen drink for you and him in Monaco, while you save your viewing space.

After Illuminations, take one of the boats back to the Boardwalk and get Ice Cream….

We've done this before and it is a wonderful way to celebrate!

Do you mean Morocco, I don't think that Monaco is part of the world showcase yet.....

I would take this one step more and see if the Breathless is available to watch illuminations. My wife and I ate at Yatchsmen's and then went on the Breathless Cruise. I had a bottle of Cristal shipped down prior and it was waiting, chilled on the boat. It was a GREAT night!

After illuminations, they can drop you off at the Boardwalk and you can walk around as well.

I think thats great!

How was the viewing from the Breathless? The one time I was on a Boat for Illuminations, I felt that the "view" was a little obscured.

We had a great night because the wind was blowing in the opposite direction of the bridge. Since the Breathless is a smaller boat, it goes to the front of the bridge. I think it has the best view. However, I have seen illuminations several time, so it was more about the company I was with than the show. A weekend without the kids was an experience in itself
