You have some of the promos mixed up.

Preorder Tink for $10 and get a $10 giftcard. The BaTB and TS3 preorders are $5 and you get $10 off a Disney movie purchase $19.99 or higher (on the same day that you preorder, that's the key here). So, if you're only aiming for one copy of each movie it will look like this:

The card is the pre-order card. You bring it up to check out and after you pay it is stapled to your receipt. They scan the pre-order UPC and it rings up $5, then they can the $10 off UPC and it takes $10 off a movie in that same purchase. When you come back to pick up your pre-order you have to have that card stapled to the receipt to get your deposit applied to the movie.

If you've never done a pre-order at TRU, it's not exactly easy to visualize. Just go down to the store and you can easily see it there. Makes a ton more sense once you see it. The cards are normally in the main Disney DVD display in the store.

I have no idea what the selling price will be for the movies, just speculating. So $29.99 is probably correct, although they won't be competitive with the other stores...I don't have any ads in front of me and I'm not buying the paper to find out so I'll go with your $29.99.

Okay - that makes sense! $25 or $30 is simply an assumed starting price.

And Tink requires a $10 deposit because you are getting a $10 GC. The other 2 movies just require a $5 deposit. I have no idea why but they do, I have the cards here at home and it's $5 down. It's normally only $5 down but the Tink deal is different due to the GC. That's real money for TRU instead of just a promo coupon like the others.

Oh I see right here on the coupon - in black and white - how about that? Someone once told me to read the fine print (or oversize print, or large print, or any print...)

I don't think it really messes it up. It just shifts when you pay the OOP money. If the TS3 preorder discount is $10.00 off TS3 when you pick it up (which is what I think you're worried about?) Then the scenario would look like this:

Transaction #1 (before Sept 20th)

=$10.00 OOP

Transaction #2 (between Sept 21-26)
Pick up Tinkerbell
+$19.99 (Balance for movie, since you've already paid $10.00)

I'm concerned about that as well. It's very unclear when the discount will apply. But we'll have an answer on Tuesday morning so don't go to buy the movie until you find out what is happening with other people's purchases. Slickdeals will probably have the quickest info posted up about it.

kalliyan-I went to TRU today to preorder my TB but I didn't look at the preorders for BATB or TS3. I will be interested to see if mine takes it off the day of. So far, I haven't read anything on the other forums I visit that mention this being a problem getting the $10 the day of preorder purchase.

I don't see an info on my pre-order card where it says $10 off for preordering. In transaction 2 I understand the rest of the discounts, like $10 off coupon from Disney Movie Rewards and the $10 gift card but don't understand where the other $10 comes in. Also, it then states that I get another $10 preorder from Tink at the bottom of transaction 2? Maybe I am missing something obvious...

It is my understanding that you will be doing the preorder for BATB when you actually go in to PICK UP the Tink movie. And the same for TS3's preorder when you PICK UP the BATB.....so that you are putting the $10 discount from pre-ordering BATB/TS3 towards the PURCHASE of the movie you are picking up. I hope I have that right LOL

Yes, pre-order must be done in the store. Pre-order offer expires the 20th (later today). In order to get the gift card deal you must place your order in the store before the end of the day, because TB will be in the store the 21st (tomorrow), so 'pre-order' will no longer apply.
