I'm back! Hope you guys didn't forget about me. I took a few weeks off for my daughters wedding. I am trying to back read? (Not sure if that even makes sense ) to catch up.

DH has to work also...so he's being a "sour puss" and wishing for bad weather...lol. Its due to rain for the next 5 days, so he's happy...lmao...

Regarding the 4th, it is not a holiday for us. We get the 1st off in recognition of the anniversary of the Dominion of Canada and the establishment of an independent country. It was wierd on a Tuesday, as we had to work Monday.

So sorry to hear so many of my fellow cruisers have to work the 4th. DW, DGD and I have been off since the 1st. We're going to see WALL-E this afternoon. It looks funny from all of the trailers we've seen. Has anyone seen WALL-E yet?

We had to change our 3 day cruise in October from the first of the month to the end of the month. Had a surprise family function come up at the first of the month I didn't know about until just last week. Had to scramble to get rebooked for a later date. But we made it.

We saw Ringo Starr and his ALL Star Band last night. It was great. We had great seats, just 6 rows back from the stage. He sure puts on a great show.

Well, gots to go and take a little nap. Gots to rest up and then get ready to see WALL-E. (You know I could really get into this being off of work all the time. Sleepin' late if'n I wants to, takin' naps when I want to.) Talk you ya'll again later. Bye, bye for now.

Thanks for all of the warm welcomes!! I'm going to let my sister know that I've found "our" thread for meet and greets, so hopefully she'll post too!

We are so excited about going, and I can't wait for Kelly and her kids to have their first Disney Cruise experience.

Right now I am booked over New Years but seriously considering changing to December 12 to 20. It was SOOOOO crowded last year over New Years I think we would have had more fun going in a less busy time. It is going to depend on the availability of the DVC resorts. I also would love to go to Mickey Very Merry Christmas Party again. We did the tree swap last year too. It was so fun having a tree in our room over the holidays.

We felt the same way for my SIL and her family.

So here is the story:

In Jan. we all (Us and SIL) were talking and made plans about doing a Disney cruise. Come Feb at the details were taken care of and we booked. So as I am bugging her over the months about details and for her to get on DIS, I think everything is set. Come last month we get a phone call and she says "its not the right time for them" and cancels. So I moved on over to this cruise...saved 1000 bucks and get to see Jac and family. Sometimes things just work out for the better....lol

I do feel like at family functions our "cruise" is going to be the "tabu" subject, like Im not supposed to be as excited or tell storys about how wondeful it was when we get home, all because the could not afford to go...( which I don't buy)..ok sorry for my family drama...LOL ...but I was realy excited to see her young sons on the cruise all the wonder in their eyes and the looks of surprise and being there to see it.

I really think she made a big mistake especailly since she had to tell the kids that they canceled. I don't know if I would have the heart to do it. ...

Whatever!! You and I both know he's secretly hoping we have some great plans for our first sea day and his b-day. And quite honestly, we don't need him to leave the stateroom to bring the party to him!

Well, the good news is, the kids don't really know what they're missing. Know what I mean? I don't think we had any idea how good a time we were going to have on the Magic, there was a lot of unknown going in to it. But now we know what we know and so we cannot imagine someone not wanting to go or canceling! We can't imagine someone not wanting to watch their kids sliding down the Mickey slide..okay, I'm sure your boys didn't slide down the Mickey slide but the memories of DD doing that is something I will forever treasure. But had I never seen her on it, I wouldn't really know what I was missing, right??

Happy 4th of July everyone. Here in PHX, we don't really do a whole lot for the 4th because it is H O T!!!! So while other parts of the country are having parades and big parties in the parks, we're hiding out in our houses or playing in our pools. Some crazy people are willing to brave the parks for the evening fireworks but we tried that one year and had to go home - it was miserable. And for those of you working - you do what you gotta do, right? Think of all that cruise money you're earning!!
