Good Morning!

Hope everyone had a great evening. I went home and worked in my yard. I have a headache today from all the twisting from the past couple of days. I just can't figure out how to do gardening without it.

MJgirl-Thanks for the poem it is beautiful, should never have read it here at work got to hide the tears now. Your puppy was so cute. Have you gotten another dog?

Jajo- how cute is that to take your dog to nanna's. He sounds really cute and worth spoiling.

Kylee (new puppy) is already getting spoiled. The first couple of nights I had her on the bed with us so she wouldn't be scared in her new home. She now expects it. When I head to bed so does she and scratches until I lift her up on the bed. She likes to get up at 4:30 am. On work days that is when I get up so that is fine but now she needs to learn about WEEKENDS!

We just have Budde now ( His official name is Budd E Bear). He is a Bichon as well. We thought about getting him a companion, but he is 10 years old now and thought a puppy might be too much for him. Also, we just bought into DVC, so we are heading down south more often now! I have a regular sitter for Budd, but she only takes her puppies. Bichon's are great, but very high maintenance!

I know how you feel Tink. This is a great group of people. I joined back in 2001 on a thread with some people we were cruising with. Can you believe 7 years later we still talk everyday. I hope these friendships develop into long term ones too.

I meet Jac (JDBlair)...on DIS.... cruised together last year and now I'm stalking her on this cruise.....

Heck we (DH & I) even took her hubby to the beer tasting without her....lol

I know what you mean about DIS Friends, they are the only ones who understand our passion, without thinking we are nuts. I met Hanover on our last cruise and we still email, plus we met at Boma's for dinner last December and plan on doing so again this December!

Just popping in to say hello before I start my morning work routine.

MJgirl & Jajamo118 CUTE CUTE CUTE!! I love the pictures of your pets. Makes you want to hug them. Thank you for sharing. I will TRY and post pictures of my girls. We are still dealing with the long long long chore of housebreaking. When I take her out in the morning it is a race between her and I to see who can get inside first. She is not getting the potty outside thing

Tell me what you think.....

When we took Kylee to the groomers the other day she had the cutest Yorkie there. I have wanted a Yorkie forever but they cost sooooo much.

Anyway I was fussing over him and mentioned to the groomer how much I wanted a Yorkie. She offered him to me because she knows the owner does not take good care of him and wanted to get rid of him. She works all day and keeps him in a kennel. She gave him to her son in law who abused him and kept him in the garage all the time so she ended up having to take him back. According to the groomer he is 5 years old, fixed and housebroken.

My husband does not want another dog because we already have 2. I want him so bad but also wondering about having 3 dogs. I want Willie to feel loved and cared for. I really want a Yorkie and have for a long long time.

Should I insist on getting him and risk Bob feeling like I don't respect his decision or let Willie go??? He didn't want Shelby either and he ended up being so attached to her it crushed him when she died.

Barb ... Regarding the outdoor potty situation ... there is a benefit to getting a spring puppy. Budd was born in May and was outside very early on. I got him at 3 1/2 months, so when he came to stay, he was fully trained. We still have some odd accidents, but they are generally my fault, not his (didn't get him out fast enough).

Regarding the Yorkie, tough call. Have you discussed it with your husband yet? A suggestion would be to take him to the vets and casually introduce him to the dog. Hopefully he too will fall in love with the dog, and then tell him the story. Let him think it's his idea!! Or do you not think he will fall for that? Good luck. Sounds like fate may have brought the two of you (Yorkie and you that is) together!

Hi Mj

He was with me at when I picked up Kylee. He was not as excited as I was at the possiblity of getting a Yorkie.

Kylee is just not interested in staying outside for any lengh of time. Since she spent her whole life in a kennel she does not know what to think about it. Can you believe she does not know how to lick either. She with get so excited and want to give me kisses but ends up bumping me with her nose her whiskers really tickle. She just found her bark about 2 days ago.

Davidls-How long did Emily and your son live with you? Was it really hard when they moved out? My grandbaby and daughter live with us and I am dreading the day they move out. They have been living with us since Ethan was 8 months. I think I have been with him everyday of his life. He is 3 now and I am head over heals for him. He has both my husband and I wrapped.

To answer your question Mickey02, Emily and our son lived with us for 5 years. It WAS very hard for both DW and I to see them move out. We both love her as if she were our very own daughter . And she thinks of us as her parents. When they lived with us our son worked from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am so both my wife and I had a major role in Emily's growing up. During the summer break at school she stays with us every chance she gets. And, we take her on every vacation we take. (This is the three of us dancing on the Magic last year. HINT, I'm the cute one in the middle, no.............I take that back I'm the one on the right............no left.......well I'm one of them...... I think!!!!) She keeps saying that our home is her home. She never wants us to sell our house, but if we ever do she wants us to sell it to her so she can still live here. It's funny what goes thru the minds of a little one.

To answer your question Mickey02, Emily and our son lived with us for 5 years. It WAS very hard for both DW and I to see them move out. We both love her as if she were our very own daughter . And she thinks of us as her parents. When they lived with us our son worked from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am so both my wife and I had a major role in Emily's growing up.
