10 months to go and 60 pounds to loose.Update 1/2/11 Page 38

Leanne!!! Are you kidding!!?? I would be SO EXCITED if you could join for the race!!!! We can all get together and have the kids trick or treat together on Main St and maybe have a dinner together or something!!! So exciting!! I think you are right about free dining... it usually ends by October 2nd. But that is ok, we would still go too! I have never been to the wine and food thing at Epcot and I have never been to the Halloween Party and ALWAYS wanted to go... and add in the 5K race and meeting up with DIS Friends and it sounds like it will be a great trip!!!! Looking at the Calendar it looks like we would go that friday and the race is most likely saturday! I was wondering how Wayne will feel being in Disney that week after running a 1/2 marathon!??

Not kidding at all! I think it would be fun and we always go somewhere during fall break , so why not Disney! :confused3 We're intending on going to Disney Sept. 24-28 this year and hope to check out the Halloween Party. I think trick or treating with the kids down Main Street would be a blast.

Food & Wine would be a great bonus too! Hopefully the run will offset the yummy goodies. :lmao: Maybe we could do the drink around the world too....well maybe not, I'm such a cheap date anymore I'd be done after Mexico or Canada depending on which side we started from! :lmao:

I would jump at the chance to run the race with you and Wendy! :goodvibes: There is just a little thing with me starting my PhD program that fall (since we are looking at 2011). I may be able to come from a weekend, but probably not the full week. But that is doable. Do they let you book two bounce back trips? :scratchin

Congrats on the weight loss!! :cool1:

Congrats on the weight loss! :cheer2: You're doing great!
The boys are so cute in their TS costumes.

Count me in for the run too. We could totally do the weekend and probably more! A will be in 2nd and C in K-wow! I am al for the trick or treating and the drinking around the world. I'll be Leanne's date :rolleyes1 How fun! Our upcoming trip May '10 whoe fam Sep '10 girls only Dec '10 whole fam
Ap or May '11 girls only Oct "11 girls only.....and so on and so on....

BOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOOO BUMMER BOOOOOOOO!!! You'll have a wonderful anniversary though!! You'll just have to come to the next Disney 5K that we run......or walk......or crawl!!:rotfl:

I just got all caught up on your PTR and it sounds like you are doing great! I just finished the C25K program a few weeks before our trip--it is an awesome program! I was a total newbie to running and now actually enjoy it. I don't get it in as much as I should, but I do what I can!

Anyway, just wanted to say Congrats on the weight loss so far! And the Disney Halloween 5K sounds like a lot of fun...I am hoping to do the half in Jan!

I came here after seeing your post in the C25K thread! I read your other TR, so i'm bookmarking my place so I can catch up later!! I started C25K and i'm currently stuck on W5D3 because I can't do the 20 minute run but i'm getting closer to it!! Best of luck!

Congrats on starting the C25K Nickie! I will be starting it again when I get back from Disney. I hope you don't mind that I invited myself to your run next October. We've been chatting so long through the DIS I think that it would be awesome to get the kids together and to meet this goal together.

Anyway, if we don't chat between now and the 30th, have a great week! I hope to get into shape with you when we get back. :goodvibes

I am going to be SO excited to actually meet you in person too. I know the kids will get along GREAT!!! And we are SO having some drinks around the world together!!!!:goodvibes

Thanks Stephanie! I understand and you could always train with us and run a local 5K if you cant get down to Disney. But it would be great too if you could come for the weekend!!! It is going to be so much fun.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I am so bummed that you will miss it. If you are still going to do the June race I will run a local one and then it will almost be like we are running the 5K together. I am on week 2 day 2 and let me tell you.... wayne finally downloaded the podcast with the music and words to tell you when to run/walk and it has made a WORLD of difference. I "ran" the lake in the town over and it was a nice flat surface and really pretty with lot's of people exercising and it felt GREAT!

Good for you for fininshing the program!!!! How long did it take you? I feel like it is going to take me longer than the 9 weeks! Are you running over 3 miles now when you exercise? My husband is training for the 1/2 that is going on during the F&W - I guess the 5K is in the morning and then the 1/2 is later that day! It will be a day of running at Disney for us!!! Good luck to you!!!

WELCOME!!!! (I am Nicole too!!) WOW you are on week 5!! That looks scary to me!:scared1: I finally downloaded the music podcast to my IPOD (I was using a stop watch and it was AWFUL) and it has made such a difference. Today I felt like I could have kept running and the other day with watching the seconds on the stop watch I couldnt do it!! Good luck with week 5!

Leanne - I am thrilled that you are joining. I am SO excited to finally meet you in person!! I am going to go check out your Pre trippie one last time before you leave and I hope you will be sending some updates on FB!! I hope your trip is very magical and that you guys have a GREAT time!!!!!!!

So, Myles has informed us that HE IS WILLING to go to FANTASMIC!!!! He has always been afraid and would not go and now he is saying YES!!!! We are so excited. So that means the Wave that we planned is going to have to either move to another night or do I DARE SAY SKIP!? It was our favorite from the last trip so I dont know if I want to skip it... but I also dont know where I would put it.

Ok... so I think with such a large group going to DHS maybe we should do the fantasmic package. Has anyone done this? It is Carrie's birthday so I don't want to eat at the buffet option... what about Mama Melrose?? It is just one Table Service and then we would all have reserved seating... I wonder about Brown Derby but I am not sure if I want to and if I want to make everyone else use 2 TS there.....

Help!

I don't know about the Wave, but we did the F! dinner package at MM two weeks ago and it was awesome. Mama Melrose's isn't the most spectacular meal we had on our trip, but it was so nice to have the seats. The line was sooo long and by the time we went in the dinner package entrance the regular seating was standing room only, but there was plenty of room in our section. You may not need it during a less crowded time but I thought the first week of May was going to be less crowded and I'm so glad we had it.

And about the C25K, I actually did it in 8 weeks. During the 28 minute run, I just decided I could keep going for another two minutes and so I did. And now I run about 35 minutes which at the pace I go is a little over 3.1 miles. I have walked a lot in the past though, just had never run. :goodvibes

WOW 8 weeks!:worship: I think it will take me MUCH longer!!! But I am also still 30+ pounds overweight.... so maybe by the time I run, I will have lost another 30 and I am sure it will be much easier to run then!:thumbsup2 I really enjoyed my workout today and already look forward to Saturday so I can do it again!!

Thanks for the info on F! I am really excited that he wants to see it. I feel like we have missed out on the last few trips. I am thinking that maybe we will sleep in and have a late breakfast at Chef Mickeys and then just hang at the hotel and go to DHS around 1 or 2 in the afternoon... the only thing is that I am afraid Toy Story Mania will have no more fast passes!!

Well you know I can't help with the resturants but the two years in a row that we have been to Fantasmic I would reccommend the dinner or did you know they have a lunch package now?!? Read about it on one of the WDW links on FB...but, I'm sure they have a list on the ADR site. This last time we went was not bad due to the fact that mom was in an ECV they have saved seating for them and a party of 6. As for the Brown Derby I read a report on it about not having many food choices for children and do not really have the atmosphere for them as well...

I'm so happy Myles said he is ready--Ashton LOVED IT!

:wave2: Connie

YAY Myles!!! Emily loves Fantasmic! I would do Mama Melrose's, that's what we're planning. We've eaten there before, several years back, and it was good. It's no Tutto, but still a decent meal and the priority seating makes it worth while. They did start lunch packages like Connie mentioned so that might be an option too!:thumbsup2

Hi Connie!
Thanks for the info on F! I am so excited to try it. I think we figured out what to do. We are going to keep the tuesday as planned with the Wave at night after the morning in DHS and then on Thursday when we go back to DHS we will do the Mama Melrose dinner and then watch F!

I was reading good things about Mama Melrose!!:woohoo: I cant wait to hear your review.

Has anyone heard that LeCellier is moving to 2 TS in Sept!? :scared1: I think it is a good place to eat and one of the best values for the dining plan but NO way is it a 2 TS!!!!!

Are you kidding me? Urgh, I'm sooo P.O.ed  We had a ressie there last year, but that night Mike wanted to just eat CS so we cancelled it and we were planning on eating there this year. It should only be 1 TS, but if they are going to make it 2TS, they should do it Jan 1 when the annual price increases take effect. :headache:

I wonder if you make ressies before Sept if you are grandfathered in as a 1TS? I guess I'll find out on June 6th!

I was checking out the Wine & Dine Marathon website and I saw that there is an event for kids 8 and under at the ESPN Sports complex on Friday afternoon. We should have the kids do this!
