That guy is great! I was looking at the menu and I think they have a good variety- and a healthy option (veggie sandwich) for me!!

Thanks for the idea:thumbsup2

Congrats on the weight loss.:cool1:

My mother is extremely overweight and has been suffering from tons of health problems lately so I decided once and for all to get healthy. I started Weight Watchers on Wed. and hope to loss maybe 20-25lbs. Why does everything that is bad for us taste so good?

Keep up the good work!

Hi Nickie,

First let me say what a beautiful family you all are! And I am very inspired by you and your mission to get healthy. I'd like to lose a chunk of weight before our next trip and I love getting inspired by people like you!

O/T, but I see you are in Boston. We make many trips there, because my son goes to Mass Art, his girlfriend and my niece go to B.U. My daughter wants to go to B.U. next year also! But we never have time to stay and play, we just drop them off and run home.

I've never stayed at POFQ but have had the beignet there....yum! (but a big diet buster I think!) Looking forward to reading more :dance3:

Can't wait to hear how your pub hopping went!

:yay: on the weight loss:yay: you are really on a roll!

I have to start all over...we went to Nashville for the weekend and what a bust...and I bet I put on half or all the little I did manage to take off last week...no worries, Danny and I were sitting in a resturant Saturday night waiting for our food (that was suppose to be something else and we both ordered the ribs instead  ) we have decided that we when we do go out we are going to start splitting and entree and order a small salad instead. I also told him no startches are being served for dinner; we are going to veggies and protein only for dinner and I would like to start trying to eat before 6 pm (the hard part for him is with the time change and daylight he will not be getting in until around 7). We still need to work in an excerise program....

look at me rambling again...sorry...
:wave2:

Woo-hoo on the 11 pounds! That's fabulous! :banana::banana:

Can't wait to read along as you plan - that's half the fun, right? :cool1:

That is so cool that you got to meet (in person) Leanne and her family!!!! I am so jealous!!! I want to meet you all... after talking with you all for the last year ... or even more than that I think, I feel like I already know you. Sounds like you guys are on the right path! I think not eating carbs has really helped so much. I can feel my belly going down for the first time since the babies were in there:woohoo:

Good luck and keep me posted!!

Sara

Thanks Sara!!! YES!!! For me the planning is almost as much fun as the trip. I am really enjoying your trip report!!

Congrats on the weight loss Nickie!! You are really on a roll!!

Thanks Leanne!!! I am really trying this time. I think having a Dr. tell me I have to has been the kick I needed.

Hi Everyone!!! Just checking in. We have a little trip news.... I took Wendy's advice and extended our trip one more day. This will be our longest Disney Trip yet!! I figure with all the money we are saving by downgrading to a Moderate and also not going with the deluxe dining, that adding one more day should be fine! I think with the extra day that I am going to schedule a no park day. We have never done this at Disney!! What do you all think if we hung out at the hotel- maybe took the boat to DTD to catch a movie or something and then had dinner at 1900 Park Fare. What do you think??

On the 60 pounds to loose in 10 month front.... things are going great. This week is starting out to be much better than last. I am down 3 pounds already!! I am not as hungry and when I do get hungry I have been filling up on carrots and red peppers and hummas and apple slices with peanut butter. For years now, I have tried to eat healthy and I never have stuck to it. I hate that feeling of trying something and then failing at it (Like the way I felt the last 20 times I have tried WW) but this feeling of actually doing it..... FEELS GREAT!!! I think the no sweets has really helped me. I think the sugar was a trigger that made me have cravings and I would just eat when I wasnt even hungry... and eat junk. But since I eliminated all sweets, I havent had any cravings making it so much easier to stick with this. ok- enough diet talk. Thanks for listening :goodvibes

I'm proud of you. 11 pounds is a great start. You must be pleased and feel really good about yourself and your willpower. If you lose 2-3 pounds a week you'll be in great shape by your trip. Won't you look super-fine in your Photopass photos?? :yay:

I'd like to lose 20 pounds by September. I'm using an elliptical machine and walking, walking, walking. No sweets and cutting w-a-a-a-y back on simple carbs. Cross your fingers for me, I'm an old broad and it's harder when you're ancient.

eta: I just saw you've lost 13 pounds! WAY TO GO!

Ok guys! So I am down a total of 11 pounds now!! This week I lost 3 more pounds. Last week with an 8 pound loss it is frustrating to see only 3 but I guess this is how it will probably be going forward. I remember when I was on WW I would loose between 1-3 pounds per week. It was hard but after a couple months those 1-3 pounds really start adding up.

Today we have our annual St. Patricks day pub crawl in Boston - 11 bars!!! I am really nervous about what the scale is going to tell me.... and really nervous at the end of the day when we cruise into that last pub and I am hungry and I am sure my mind will be telling me, "Go ahead, eat the cheeseburger!!!" My plan is to eat really healthy at lunch and to try to have a water instead of a beer at a few of the bars.

Wish me luck!

Woo Hoo for adding a day!!:cool1: I'm a genius, aren't I!!! I think having a day off or even just a half day at a park is a great idea. We usually do nothing but hang by the pool on our last day, but since the weather may not be pool weather, I'd have an off day in the middle of the vacay! That way you don't get too burned out. A movie sounds great, or have you guys ever been to Disney Quest? The boys would probably like that a lot! You could also do the mini golf that comes with the MYW package. Just some ideas!!

You are my hero sticking to your healthy eating! I made the mistake of sending Mike to the store the other day and he came home with all kinds of junk food. I won't make that mistake again, because I don't have the will power to stay away from the junk if it's in the house! Keep up the good work! I'm so proud and excited for you!!!:cheer2:

hi there!!

I am joining in! I will be in the happiest place on earth in 6 days!!!

Your title caught my attention because I too am in the process of losing some LBS! Oh those suckers are much easier to gain then to ditch!!

Congrats on all the hard work and for sticking to it!:thumbsup2

I am 24 years old and gained a lot of weight in college and have just maintained it. I finally woke up and got sick of feeling uncomfortable and decided it was time to make a change! I started 1/26/2010 and am down 15lbs. I weigh in again tonight so hopefully (fingers crossed X) I hear some good news.

I had a similar situation this weekend as the bar crawl you had. We have a bus that goes around to a bunch of different bars for St. Patty's day...called the Blarney Bus. :) Anyways, I had a couple beers, alright alright...more then a couple beers :scared1:
and then had munchies and ordered chicken quesadilla’s around 8 p.m.

I am hoping it does not affect the scale too much, but if so, I will just get back on track and keep trucking along. Next week ought to be interesting...I will be in DISNEY!!! Very excited but very nervous about all the temptations :confused3

I am hoping all the walking we do will help offset the indulgences I decide to act on. I mean after all, it is vacation and it is DISNEY WORLD!!!:banana::banana:

Your PTR is fantastic!
:cheer2::cheer2:

Thank you!!!! I like the idea of mini golf- hopefully the weather will allow us to hang out by the pool and go mini golfing. If it was like the last trip we may be going to see a movie in DTD- which we love to do on vacation!

I cant believe you go in 6 DAYS!!!!!! WOW- I am sooooooooooooo jealous!!! You have to let me know how you do in Disney and what you eat!!?? There was a thread on here the other day with where to get the best salads in WDW!! Have a great trip!!!!!

Hey Nickie!
congrats on the addition to your weight loss...I'm not doing as great as you are but I down the 5#'s I started with before the Nashville trip (I don't think that is too bad considering what I ate and drank--I was drinking regular soda's to share with Danny on the road).

I like that you added and extra day...that is what we are doing for our first day there...except the movie part...
I plan to chill by the pool and head over to DTD! I don't know about the movie part--IMO you can do that at home why waste that time or money in WDW...what about adding the option to your tickets for Disney quest..we did not get to use it last year but the kids did and loved it; it's $50 but you could maybe work it in another night or so. Or just visiting your resort pool with the awesome slide (if its warm enough) and walking through the Lego, Toy, and WD stores is an afternoon all in it self. Just my thoughts...

:wave2:

Page 3 :sad2: HAve to go finish the TR-then I will be back! Congrats on the weight loss! Great TR!! Yay for a low key trip-thats what we are planning this time as well. Another day is always good!!
