Can't wait to see more Disney nights!!

Wendy you have NO IDEA!!! My kids DO have every Disney Figure available! I am thinking for xmas the castle may be a good gift to the boys from santa!

We are all just now finally better.... each kid has taken turns with this bug.... Wayne and I also felt yucky... and I think finally we are over it. Hopefully you all get better soon!!
Yippee for Disney Nights- you have to check the thread on disney nights here on the Dis! Best ideas ever!!!!

I see I need to go back and read your first TR--any advice to someone who planning a trip for 11, most being new to Disney (and DH and I's second trip ever, first time planning it)? I am working on going through the menus too now that we have booked our ADRs of healthy options, so I am right there with you! :thumbsup2 I know the menus are not guaranteed but I am hopeful that I will be able to find things. I am most worried about the CS options--that is where I need to do the most research. How often do you meet up with the extended family? Are you all staying together at the same resort doing a GG?

How do you like using GG--are you happy with the quality of the perishables? Though with us driving, we can probably just go to the store on our own but I have to say the convenience is something to consider...:confused2:

From my beginning look at menus, I would say Sunshine Season at EP-FW is a good option. Though I am not sure if you want a WS place. Not sure on the MK options yet. I am still researching that one along with knowing where healthy snack options are going to be at too.

I am working on losing weight too and have joined the MyFitnessPal after you recommended it--I am still learning how to use it but I really like it. I splurged at dinner tonight, but I had realized I had eaten very little the rest of the day, I needed a filling dinner!

1900 PF is probably the the dining reservation I am most looking forward too. :goodvibes: What about thinking of mini-golf as an option? You get one voucher to use for it.

Ohh--apples and peanut butter! Thanks for mentioning that. I made DD a pb&j sandwich and I was thinking I needed to figure out what to eat with peanut butter. Apples would be a yummy choice! :goodvibes: I have had to eliminate bread and pasta from my diet, for multiple reasons. I really have eliminate most of the sweets (I will occasionally have two scoops of Edy's Slow Churn) from my diet. It seems to be helping a lot too. I find I am actually having problems eating ENOUGH calories some days. I don't weigh in until Sunday, so we will see how it is working. :thumbsup2:

Do you do the Disney Nights every week? We are planning on watching a Disney movie each week until we leave. This week is Alice in Wonderland which we will watch tomorrow. :)

How cute! We are going to start ours soon too!

Mary- I cant wait to hear about your disney nights. I love getting some new ideas!!

Hi!! I planned our first family trip and it was the worst trip ever!!!! There were 16 of us and we went the week after xmas (first huge mistake) and tried to do everything together.... no plans for the parks.... no reservations... :scared1:

This time, we are going in February (we went the same week this year) and there is NOBODY in the parks... the weather is cool, the kids will all be a little older, I am keeping it simple... like you I will research and know where and what I can eat. I figure we will do GG for breakfasts in the rooms, and that gives us some extra time to get ourselves together in the morning, and then lunch will be a counter service - people can do whatever they want, and we can all meet up at the hotel and head to dinner together. There will only be a few nights that we will all be together, so I am booking Chef Mickey for the first night, we will try the new mexican rest and watch illuminations from there (which I think will make it nicer with a big group) and then for the last night, we will eat at Ohana and also view Wishes from there.

How do you like using GG--are you happy with the quality of the perishables? Though with us driving, we can probably just go to the store on our own but I have to say the convenience is something to consider...:confused2:

We have used them a few times and I LOVE GG! the delivery is $12.00 and I think that is worth not having to stop and waste time on vacation shopping. I love that it is delievered to your room, and I love getting a case of waters and some fruit. (I also love that they deliver wine... which makes it a lot cheaper to have a drink by the pool at your hotel!)

I am such a planner and worried about staying on track while in Disney- I thought the best thing to do would be to look at the menus and get an idea of what they have and what the healthy option would be.... here goes what I have so far for CS:

Lunch at Sunshine Seasons (12:00 )The Grill: Rottis Chicken with carrots and salad

Pizza Planet at DHS - caprese Salad, apple slices

MK- Cosmic Rays - Veggie Wrap and Apple Slices

I am working on losing weight too and have joined the MyFitnessPal after you recommended it--I am still learning how to use it but I really like it. I splurged at dinner tonight, but I had realized I had eaten very little the rest of the day, I needed a filling dinner!

:thumbsup2 Keep up the good work!!!!

1900 PF is probably the the dining reservation I am most looking forward too. :goodvibes: What about thinking of mini-golf as an option? You get one voucher to use for it.

I was thinking that mini golf would be fun for us to do... I am just not sure how convenient it would be to get there from the hotel.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I think the no sweets is KEY!! I had a minor set back this week because I thought I was ok to have a small piece of pie .... NOPE! All it made me do was want more. I was standing over the sink ready to throw it out and was eating just a little bite which turned into um, a lot of the pie.... I finally threw it out and decided that it is MUCH easier to stay away from sweets when I just eliminate them. One bite and I am all done! :scared1:

Do you do the Disney Nights every week? We are planning on watching a Disney movie each week until we leave. This week is Alice in Wonderland which we will watch tomorrow. :)

We usually do them on Fridays when we are home and free, but it is a lot of work... I have been thinking that I would like to have them monthly and then when the trip is about a month away, we can have them every friday again! The kids love them and really look forward to them.

Hey guys!!! It is that time of the week when I report in on my weight loss/gain!

This week started out to be easy and then St. Patricks Day happend. I made this Pistachio Pudding Pie (fat free/sugar free) but put some lite whip topping on it... and made it with a reduced fat grahm cracker crust..... I decided it was ok for me to have a little piece. Well.... I have already told you all that I have NO CONTROL when it comes to sweets. I know and i guess I just needed a reminder that in order for me to not eat the whole pie, I can't even taste it. :scared1:

But even with the Pistachio Pie, I still managed to loose 4 pounds this week!:cool1::woohoo::yay:

I have lost 15 pounds!!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO Excited!! I have gotten under a certain number that we will not mention and I hope to NEVER be over that number again!!!:goodvibes

I hope all of you loosing weight also will report in with how your week went!! and Good luck this week!!!!!

/
WOW!!! Congratulations!!! You are already 25% of the way to your goal!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Just want to comment on the mini golf. We did it once and had a blast. We went to Winterland/Summerland. It is at one of the water parks (sorry can't remember which) so you just took the water park bus from your resort. Nice & easy. I'm thinking of trying the Fantasia one this summer as we'll be at the BWI and I think we can walk from there.

I can't believe your going back in a month!!! Lucky you!! Whose Birthday are you celebrating this time and who is going? Is BWI Beach Club?

Thanks for the congrats!! It sounds not so far away when you hear already 25%!!!

MY birthday on May 6th. Doing CP for breakfast again this year but MK is open at 8am so we're doing it about 10am.

I'm taking Joe on this trip. Last year he gave me a hard time about going on some rides-that he just wouldn't go on-like Spaceship Earth. This year I told him he could make a list of 5 rides he wouldn't go on. He's already got ToT, RnR, & Primival Whirl on the list. I'm hoping this will stop some of the complaining in the parks. He's a sweet boy but gets wierd about some stuff. I hope this pre-trip "management" will improve things.

We were orginally booked at Pop with DxDDP. Joe loves signature dining. Then after I lost my brother Joe I decided life was short and upgraded to MK view at CR with DxDDP. Then when I went to WDW in January with Emma I was reminded about just how much I loved club level service. We are now booked at Boardwalk Inn Club Level without DDP with a 45% AP discount.:cool1: I had considered Beach Club but BWI gets better Club Level reviews. I am very excited to try it out.

Hope we LOVE it! I've got the 5 of us booked for BWI CL for 9 nights starting 7/18-the start of value season for deluxe resorts. Lizzy, Emma & I already have annual passes that are good through 7/29. It would be a sin to not use them again.:rotfl: I only have a 35% general public discount now. I'm hoping to book it with bounceback when I'm there in May with Joe or get a good AP rate when those come out. Airfare was crazy. I hated spending $300 per person but they have already gone up to $350. I'm keeping my eye out because JetBlue will give you a voucher for future use if the price drops.

Congrats again on the weight loss. I really need to try. Should be a bit easier now that the weather is better!!!

Holy cow! :cheer2: 15 pounds! "Did you ever know that you're my hero? You're everything I wish I could be?" :lmao:

You're a quarter of the way there already! You keep this up and there will be nothing left of you!! ;)

Congrats on the 4lb this week and the 15lb overall!! i hear you on the sweets and for me chips. I can;t do just a little so I really try to avoid the. I maintained this week. 4lb to go-total lost 8. Need to hit the gym it makes a difference for me.

:cheer2:Congratulations! Nickie!! :cheer2:
YOU ROCK!!!
you are doing such an awesome job! it is so hard to give things up completely so don't beat yourself up over it! I'm a chips and my sweet downfall is little debbie's and what did I buy today
Little Debbie Easter cakes for the kids (like they would miss it if I did not buy it)...

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

WARNING!! Or maybe this is a good thing...:confused3

Weight loss can kick start your ovaries!! Many women who begin to lose weight suddenly find themselves preggers!! ;)

MY birthday on May 6th. Doing CP for breakfast again this year but MK is open at 8am so we're doing it about 10am.

I am excited to go back to CP! How could I forget that!! That is Waynes Birthday and the day we met at the MK!!

Myles is weird with rides too. Last year he went on Splash, Test Track, and Big Thunder and would NOT go on Philharmagic or Winnie the Pooh ride (because he was scared of them) This year he went on Mission Space and Space Mountain, but would NOT go on Figment. We always have to watch utube of all the rides and he gets weird about them... I remember saying before that I was going to stop taking him to Disney because he would talk all the time about what he wasnt going to do there instead of being happy and excited for what he was going to do. It is hard when you spend all that money and you want your kids to have a great time.

I lost my dad when I was 21 - he was only 45. I have lived my life since then for "living in the moment and not the future!" Sounds like it is going to be an amazing trip!!! I wondered about club level... but Wayne said that he wouldnt like it because he likes to eat at the resorts and parks too much.

Hope we LOVE it! I've got the 5 of us booked for BWI CL for 9 nights starting 7/18-the start of value season for deluxe resorts. Lizzy, Emma & I already have annual passes that are good through 7/29. Too bad on the airfare!! I am surprised it was so high. Did u get it right when the fares were released? I noticed with Jet Blue if you get it that day you get the lowest price option but it sells out so fast! My dates get released in August... I need to start saving!!

Congrats again on the weight loss. I really need to try. Should be a bit easier now that the weather is better!!!

Thanks!!! Yes the good weather helps!!

Holy cow! :cheer2: 15 pounds! "Did you ever know that you're my hero? You're everything I wish I could be?" :lmao:

You're a quarter of the way there already! You keep this up and there will be nothing left of you!! ;)

Did you know I can fly higher than an eagle? :rotfl2: Oh I blew it last night. Wayne and I went out... we had such a yummy dinner... I Splurged! We even got dessert AND a midnight snack on the way home.:scared1:

Way to go Nickie!!!!! Goodbye number that will remain nameless!!!!

You rock:cheer2:

As I just told Wendy- Last night I kind of blew it. This week I am going to spend trying to get back to where I was yesterday!!! I am just hoping to not gain this week now! Ugh isnt this hard!!??

Congrats on teh 4lb this week and the 15lb overall!! i hear you on the sweets and for me chips. I can;t do just a little so I really try to avoid the. I maintained this week. 4lb to go-total lost 8. Need to hit the gym it makes a difference for me.

Wow- 8 pounds is great!! Congrats!!!!:yay:

Thanks!!!!! I am going to take your advice and not beat myself up too much about last night... I will just start fresh today!!

WARNING!! Or maybe this is a good thing...:confused3

Weight loss can kick start your ovaries!! Many women who begin to lose weight suddenly find themselves preggers!! ;)

Funny you should say this!!!! Last night we were out to dinner and we ate at this Tapas bar and were sitting out on the patio on Newbury Street in Boston. It is so yummy by the way!!- Lot' s of Sangria! Ok, so this woman walks by and she is holding this tiny little baby that was crying and in my head I was thinking, "oh should we just have one more.... and then wayne pipes in and interrupts my little dream and says, "So when do you think I should get "that procedure" done"???? LOL:rotfl2: We talked about it and we both agreed that we loved having two kids and loved that things were finally getting easier for us. Once Owen is potty trained, and there are no more diapers... it will be even easier! I don't know if we can go back. I also do not want 3 kids.... I was the middle child and I always said 2 or 4 - so if we had another I would need to get prego right away again. And you know what? I am getting old! :rotfl2:

Were you at Tapeo? LOVE that place!!! I haven't been in almost a year. I think I need to go back!

Aren't kids funny? Joe loves Everest, Space Mountain, BTMRR....but wouldn't go on Spaceship Earth because he was afraid it would break down. Even on rides he loves he would be asking me where the exit was. I was really upset that he just wouldn't enjoy being there. BUT....this is MY birthday trip. I've told him he'd have to stay home if he wouldn't le me enjoy it.

I lost my Dad at age 42 when I was 6. I was too young to really understand. My brother's death has been really difficult. I still can't believe it is real.:sad1: I am sad that my kids will only know him through stories. The driver was charged with vehicular homiside but that won't bring Joe back and she's got young kids so I don't know how I really feel about that.

I didn't buy airfare for July when they were realeased but last year I bought the summer flights even closer to flight date and paid a lot less. I did buy airfare for my May trip on release day and they were going to be $300 for Sat to Sat and I couldn't use my frequent flyer miles. I ended up changing to Wed to Wed so I could use miles and pay $199 for the other flight.

You know Disney is a lot easier with 2 kids. Your resort options drop with 3 and even more with 4. Rides are easier with 2 also.:rotfl:

Congrats again on the weight loss. I really need to try. Should be a bit easier now that the weather is better!!!

We're going to BWI CL around the same time as you (we arrive on 7/16)! I was going to do all 9 nights there but decided to do 5 nights at BWI and 4 at the GF. Maybe we'll bump into each other in the lounge.:cool2: I met a DISer in the lounge at the Poly last year, it was so cool. They'll be at Contemporary this yr.

Btw Disney totally sucked us into the CL trips last year with all the discounts, now we're hooked.

I've already save $50/ticket on a Southwest price drop myself and am waiting to see if I can shave anything else off my airfare.

Should we start a "going to the BWI" weight loss club? I have 45 lbs to lose myself... but I'd be ecstatic with 25:lmao:

I can't believe your going back in a month!!! Lucky you!! Whose Birthday are you celebrating this time and who is going? Is BWI Beach Club?

Thanks for the congrats!! It sounds not so far away when you hear already 25%!!!

Nickie!!!! 15 pounds is awesome!!! Esp being in Boston on St Patty's day:rotfl: Doesn't saying your 25% of the way there feel amazing? I'm so excited for you.

Just found your PTR and love it already! Wanted to chime in and say congrats and to also share my thoughts on Epcot CS. Sunshine Seasons is great! Lots of tasty, healthy, tasty (:)) options. You'll like to rotis chicken. It's filling too and worth the (even more calorie burning) walk back, even if you're in World Showcase.

WS options for CS can be a bit trickier (lots of fried things, cheese, and bread) but Morocco is probably your best bet. Tangierine Cafe is good and has non-Moroccan items if you're concerned about the fam finding something to eat. Ate there this past NYE (with some friends from MA, actually) and it was great!

Anyway, I just wanted to post and say you've inspired me to keep up with my exercising and to not be lazy (my biggest challenge). Thanks!!!

Oh luv luv LUV Tapeo and, where did you find those FABULOUS dragonfly napkin rings????

I told Wayne what you wrote about Disney being easier with two kids- he thought that was very funny!!:rotfl2:

I am so sorry about your brother. I am sure it is still very hard. I remember with Wayne's dad because it was so sudden it took a very long time to believe it had happend. :sad1:

I am glad I could motivate you!!! I need to get out for a walk today myself! The weather has been awesome!!

Yes we went to Tapeo! I LOVE it there. I got the dragonfly rings for my wedding shower! I had registered for them and thought when will I ever use these?? But I have used them SO many times!! They were perfect for our Princess and the Frog night too!
