10 months to go and 60 pounds to loose.Update 1/2/11 Page 38

I was heading to your PTR to tell you that you've been slacking on the updates only to find that you have updated and I missed it!:confused3 I have no room to talk though because I don't really have any updates on my PRT!!!!;)

Anyway, day 2 looks great! I like Illuminations too, but I'd like to see some changes! Maybe I've just seen it too many times! Did you see the World of Color video from DL Cali Adventure? WOW!! I'd love to see that take the place of Illuminations!! I don't really see that happening anytime soon, so I guess we'll just have to plan a trip to DL one of these years! I haven't been there since 2002 and there are all kinds of new things I need to check out! :thumbsup2

I'm still trying to convince Stephanie to come to WDW in Oct for the 5K! I don't think she has completely ruled it out yet! :yay:

Hey, where are your latest Disney night posts? Didn't you do Star Wars recently? We're doing Toy Story tomorrow night and TS2 on Sunday morning. We're going to have a TS2 breakfast! I'll make sure to post pics on my PTR & FB!

Nickie-your day one and two look great! When can you make ADR's? You were asking about buying mugs? Could you make coffee in your room? We always get the mugs, but we fill them a lot with pop, lemonade, and water when we go to the pool, or if we use a snack credit for breakfast. If it was just for coffee, I don't know if I would get them.

I would definitely do the F! package. We ate a late lunch at Mama Melrose's and got the priority seating that way. We had an ADR at 50's Prime Time at 7:30 and it was way too rushed and stressed to make it to F! by 8:30. We got into the stadium and it was already full, except for the reserved area, so it was great to not have to wait for 1-1 1/2 hours beforehand for seats. I would just be sure to not plan supper any later than 6:45 or 7:00 if you are doing a TS meal.

How is C25K going? Way to go on recouping 4 lbs!!!! Have a good week:hug:

Hi Twin!! WELCOME HOME!!!!:goodvibes I am sure it must be hard being home though!! Maybe you should plan for a last week in January, first week in February trip!? We can do our own 5K then :cool1:

Good to know about Mama Melrose and the F! Package!! We are going to do that for our last night. :goodvibes

C25K is going good- I had to do week 4 for 2 weeks but I am going to MOVE ON!! Today I start week 5 and I am kind of dreading it.... for the day 3 on week 5 is a 20 minute run!:scared1: I wonder how long week 5 will take me to complete!?

How are you doing? Now that you are home are you going to do repeat the week you were on before you left for the trip!? Too bad you couldnt run at all on the trip! It always sounds easier in planning and then after walking around the entire day going for a run wouldnt be on my list to do either... maybe sitting in the hot tub would be though!

I know- I have been slacking!! I am going to post some pics from our past Disney nights in a few minutes!! Your Toy Story Night looks GREAT!!!!!
That would be great if Stephanie joined us for the run in October!!:goodvibes

Sounds like a good plan--especially when it includes a GG slushie! :thumbsup2

Love those things!:lovestruc

Hi! Just found your trip report and haven't been able to get caught up on all the threads yet, but plan to soon. Congrats on all the weight loss! I just started last week--down over 5 pounds already! :woohoo: Can't wait to see how yours comes along too.

WELCOME!!!!!!!! That is great- keep up the good work and let me know how it is going!! I need some motivation... I have been in a big time rut!

Great job on the weight loss Nickie! :thumbsup2 I lost about a pound and a half this week. I still have a long way to go to get back where I started. :headache: :headache:

Your plans for Day 1 & 2 look really good. We usually buy mugs when we are at Disney. Everything is really close at POFQ so you would probably get your money's worth. :goodvibes

Hi Leanne! How are you doing with being back home!? Do you have any Disney blues? I didnt get them last time too bad because my next trip was so close... but this time I have them and I still have 7 months to go! Great work on the C25K!!!! You are doing awesome!!!!!!!

Hey Dis Friends! Hope everyone is doing great this week!!! I have lot's to update on today.

Let's start with my weight gain.... I gained a pound this week which was a GIFT! I should have gained MUCH more. I just don't get it. I can't get my motivation back. Each week I start again and then I loose it and instead of just having a bad day it is turning into a bad 3 weeks! I think the C25K is helping me not gain it ALL back but just imagine how well I would be doing if I could eat "on plan" and do the C25K!!!??? This is EXACTLY what I plan to do this week. No more excuses. I am back on plan and I need to stay here. Feel free to remind me that I am going to the Dr. in August and I will be put on meds if I keep eating Cupcakes, Ice Cream Cake, Pizza and whatever else is around that looks bad for me!

Moving on to C25K.... still really enjoying it. I repeated week 4 because it was hard and I am pretty scared of week 5, but today I am going to start it. I am just going to run VERY slow and do my best. I think it may take me a few weeks to complete week 5 but that is ok!

Ok, now on to what you all have been waiting for!

DISNEY NIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have done a few that I havent posted yet.... Bambi, Lion King and Star Wars!

Lion King Disney Night was so much fun. My best friend who lives in NH came down with her daughter and her niece and we had a blast.

IMG_4952.jpg

For dinner we had Simbas Steaks, Grass (Salad) and Rafiki's Rice Pilaf!

Dessert was Zebra Cakes! These are a huge hit in this house!!!!

IMG_4951.jpg

IMG_4953.jpg

IMG_4956.jpg

Next up.... BOYS NIGHT! I went to the Red Sox game with my sister and brother and we surprised my mom.... she had no idea my sister and I were going.... she freaked! She said it was the best surprise of her life. It was SO nice to see my mom so happy and she was just SO HAPPY to be at her favorite place in the world with her 3 kids! It was quite a night! :lovestruc

The boys however were pretty excited because with me out, that meant one thing...

STAR WARS NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!

Wayne put this all together and I must admit he did a GREAT JOB! I think he is better at these nights than I am for sure!

IMG_5001.jpg

Skywalker Smoothies, Obi One Canolis, Darth Tator Tots and Hams Solo and Cheesebaker Sandwiches..... I am sure I spelled that all wrong... but you get the idea! :rotfl2:

IMG_4966.jpg

IMG_4978.jpg

IMG_4977.jpg

IMG_4976.jpg

IMG_4973.jpg

A little Wii Star Wars....
IMG_4968.jpg

And what Star Wars Night would be complete without a Lightsaber fight??
IMG_4974.jpg

Last week we did Bambi Disney Night! I was feeling the pressure a little so I put it out on Facbook to get some ideas!! (Thanks Wendy!)

IMG_5005.jpg

For dinner we had Bambi Burgers, Feline French Fries, Grass (Salad) and I decorated the table to resemble the forest.....

IMG_5007.jpg

For dessert we had Thumpers Carrot Cake
IMG_5006.jpg

We planted some seeds for the activity...
IMG_5011.jpg

It was a fun night!!
IMG_5010.jpg

I hope everyone has a GREAT week!!!! And for those of us on the C25K... good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Nickie! Sorry you are not losing the weight right now like you want to, but the C25K is definitely helping your health. I'm sure the walking/running you have been doing has increased your metabolism and probably makes you even more hungry! Just stay positive and you will do great! I bet when you go to the doctor's in Aug. you will see a big difference in your numbers just from the running! Keep up the great work, you can do it!!:cheer2:

The Disney nights look great as always! Wayne did an awesome Star Wars night! I love the names of his food choices!! :rotfl: I used to LOVE Zebra Cakes when I was younger, now they seem too sugary, but Mike and Emily love them!

Keep'em coming!:yay:

Thanks Wendy!! Day two and so far so good! I even lost 2 pounds. I really hope by Friday for the scale to be 3 pounds less and I will hit my first HUGE MILESTONE!

Day 3 - Sunday January 30th

IMG_1824-1.jpg

I am very excited for this day! I dream about it actually :rotfl: The plan for this day is to all get up at 7AM,Put on our GOODY T-SHIRTS!!! Hit the food court for breakfast/refill our coffee mugs and then get on the bus to Magic Kingdom and be there for the Rope Drop! Maybe we will look so darn cute in these shirts I am making that we will be picked for the family that gets to open the park!? Ok I know.... wishful thinking!!

This will be the rest of the gangs only day at MK (we still have two more days there) I am thinking we will skip Fantasyland maybe and hit Tomorrowland first. Grab a fastpass for Space Mountain, and then Ride Astro Orbiter first because that line gets REDONKULOUS!!!!! Get on those Cars... another crazy line.... ride Space Mountain, Grab a FastPass for Buzz and then see Monster Laugh Floor, Go on TTA and then ride Buzz before heading for lunch.

Get a fastpass for Big Thunder and then hit Lunch at a CS in MK - Maybe Pecos Bill? 12:00-12:30

I would love for us all to go on Haunted Mansion and POC too - hopefully there is time! We will ride Big Thunder and then head back to POFQ around 2:00 - or keep the fast pass for when we return?! Wayne likes to go on that one in the dark!

The boys really want to go fishing with their daddy and uncles and hey I guess I will just have to hang with the aunties at the pool or the hot tub!? ;)
DIS4-1.jpg

4:30PM - hop on a bus to MK and walk to the CR....

Dinner at the WAVE at 5:30PM! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place:worship:

After dinner we will walk back to the MK and be there for WISHES and EMH!!! :woohoo: On our last trip we saw Wishes a TON of times, but never from in the park.... and I missed that! So on this trip I wanted to be sure to see it from Main Street!

wishesbest.jpg

After Wishes we will have a few EMH's to go on anything that we missed that people might want to go on. It is going to be another long day, but I think it is going to be GREAT! I just can't wait.:yay:

Your Disney nights sound fun; the Bambi burgers sound wrong, though! :lmao:

Good luck getting back on track. :goodvibes I started walking this week, in preparation for starting the C25K. I am discouraged, because it's taking me 20 minutes to do a mile...but DH says that's better than sitting on the couch, right? :rotfl:

Day 3 looks FANTASTIC!! Try watching Wishes from Fantasyland sometime! The fireworks go off right over your head, all around you! (:ssst: it's also less crowded than Main Street!)

I think Emily & Mike plan on fishing at somepoint during our vacation while Eva and I relax!;)

Your Disney nights are so cute! :)

Congrats on making it so far into C25K! I still never made it past week one...but I never tried again, my ankle hurt for a while, and now I have a cold, but I'm HOPING to start next week and really get this going! Less than 5 months til my November trip now, and I want to lose a LOT of weight by then!

I know how hard it is to find the motivation to keep going with weight loss, even when there are health risks involved! I gotta check in on your PTR more often once I'm officially trying to lose weight, I'll try to help with the motivation! :)

I love watching Wishes from Main street, but the bridge to Adventureland is also a good spot! :cool1:

Hey, Nickie
you sound like you are still doing great! maybe you need to work on a new plan for your menus to get some motivation back...don't have any idea at the moment but just thinking some change may help. But, you are doing great and you sound like you are doing great with the C25K program and that alone will help with the medical problems (even without the weight loss).

Your disney nights and Wayne's SW nights look like so much fun, as always.

I like all your plans for the upcoming trip...and love the recap pictures along with the plans.

Keep up the great work...you ROCK!:thumbsup2

P.S. you mentioned Lakes around here...two words
cottonmouths (water moccasians) and alligators
Dayne and his friends frequent the rivers and lakes but I'm not that adventerous:upsidedow
:wave2: Connie

Hi Nickie I followed you over from my report. It has taken me a while to get up to speed. First I read your trip report then I tacked this PTR.

I have to say your boys are too cute. They are almost too pretty. I've been cheering along with your weight loss and running. You have inspired me to eat better and walk more.

Your plans so far look great. POFQ is really just a great size and so pretty. The only real downfall we had was the size of the food court area.

You will have to buy the mugs separate they don't come with the regular dinning plan, but since everything is so close we felt they were worth the expense.

We hit the real French Quarter on Sunday. I posted some pictures on my report along with some of the Insectarium. How do your boys feel about bugs? Maybe you can tell the in pictures how much prettier the resort is than the real thing.

Day 3 looks good!!!!

We went swimming at POFQ and just being there reminded me of how much I loved that resort!

Hope your week has gone well-I am anxious to hear how today goes:scared1: I am starting week 5 next week, when we are at the cabin. There are no hills there, like at home!:thumbsup2

Take care-and looking forward to hearing the Day 4 plan!:cutie:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:WOW!!! You are doing so great!!!! Congrats on the 30 pounds and the C25K training!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Your plans looks great! How wonderful that you'll get to spend time with family AND have time for just you too. Sounds perfect!

I've got a Fantasmic! lunch package booked at Mama Melrose for July. I figure we can start the day at rope drop, eat lunch at 1:00pm and go back to the room for a nap before the show. The dinner package often has you eating at about 3pm which can be tough-not really lunch or dinner. I've been to Mama Melrose about 4 times and have always really enjoyed it.:thumbsup2

HEY! I see Joe (and a bit of my backpack) in that photo!!! Joe has his Mickey ears on.

Are you going to TS3? I have to say it was a lot "darker" than I expected. There are some scary parts. I thought the end was very sad but maybe because we went to see it on the day Lizzy "graduated" from elementary school.:sad2: BUT the kids really enjoyed it. Joe (who can be very sensitive) wants to see it again-he wants to see it in Disney-might be a fun way to escape the heat of July. There are some parts that are just so funny too!!!

I'm still trying to convince Stephanie to come to WDW in Oct for the 5K! I don't think she has completely ruled it out yet! :yay:

:rotfl: I will think about it...it all depends on what happens come next spring because it will determine what will be happening in the fall.

*****Catching up....

Since we cannot do the new Mexican restaurant, I really am hoping the QS in Mexico is open--since I am not planning a lunch the day we will be back there, it is going to be a day to eat around the world as needed.

Your Disney Nights look like they are so much fun!! What a magical way to celebrate and keep the Disney love alive. :goodvibes

Hang in there--we all go through slumps. The darn scale won't move for me at the moment but DH and another friend commented I look like I am toning up and slimming down and based on my clothing, I must be! I bet you are too if you look at the way things are fitting and heck, your endurance level is obviously much higher than it used to be!

Sounds like a great family day in MK. I hope we can catch Wishes and Spectro too. :thumbsup2

Thanks!! How has the walking been going?! That is great!! I think any exercise is great.

Day 3 looks FANTASTIC!! Try watching Wishes from Fantasyland sometime! The fireworks go off right over your head, all around you! ( it's also less crowded than Main Street!)

I think Emily & Mike plan on fishing at somepoint during our vacation while Eva and I relax!;)

Wishes from Fantasyland!? We havent tried that yet! Myles and Wayne did the fishing while Owen and I "relaxed" at the pool. Relaxing with an 8 week old isnt really relaxing!

So pretty...we missed this last time...can't wait to see it on our next trip. Your plans for this day look really fun :goodvibes

Thanks!! Yes this is my all time favorite thing about Disney!! We just downloaded the whole Wishes soundtrack and the kids have been singing it.... I cant wait to see it again!!
Your Disney nights are so cute! :)

I love watching Wishes from Main street, but the bridge to Adventureland is also a good spot!

I need all the help I can get with motivation!!! I have been really discouraged and back to my old tricks of getting lazy about eating well.... It's funny how a set back like my anniversary in May has turned into a month long excursion from eating healthy! I am still running and on week 6 now with the C25K! That has helped me totally not give up hope. I am starting again today!!!! Today I pulled out all the info on high cholestrol and what foods to avoid and choose and even though we are going to the Cape this weekend for the 4th, I am going to try to stick to eating healthy. I figure there is ALWAYS something that will be an excuse for me to choose the bad stuff.... I just have to learn to be in these kind of circumstances and choose the right stuff! Ok vent over..... thanks for listening...

Hey, Nickie

Thanks so much Connie!! I am starting AGAIN today with the whole eating healthy thing!! My appointment is in 8 weeks and if I can loose 10-20 more pounds to have lost a total of 40-50 pounds AND by then I think I will be at the end of my C25K and running a 5K I will be a VERY HAPPY GIRL!!!

I see that you liked the pictures of my girls weekend on Facebook. I dont think the camera really captured the beauty of that place... It is an amazing place. My friends family owns it and we have gone up every year since before we had kids and they are selling it this year. We hope to go up one more time the last weekend in August with the kids.

How are you and Dayne doing?? Have you guys been walking? I am sure it is so hot and hard to get any exercise in!!

I am going to spend some time tonight getting caught up on trip reports. I will make sure to make my way over to yours and get all caught up!!!

Hi Nickie I followed you over from my report. It has taken me a while to get up to speed. First I read your trip report then I tacked this PTR.

Hi! I have been really enjoying your report and all the great pictures! Your family is beautiful! Thanks for the compliment on mine.... these boys I think are going to be little heart breakers!! Thanks for the info on the resort too!! I dont think we will be eating much in the food court. Wayne wants one day for lunch there to have the Muffletta and I think most mornings I will be eating in the room because we are getting groceries from garden grocer!!

Day 3 looks good!!!!

We went swimming at POFQ and just being there reminded me of how much I loved that resort!

Take care-and looking forward to hearing the Day 4 plan!:cutie:

Are you still up at the cabin? It sounds like the boys had a great time at Camp!! I cant imagine my guys going away for a week to camp! :scared1: Maybe when they are older though! So- how is running at the cabin!? You need to post some pictures of your route!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:WOW!!! You are doing so great!!!! Congrats on the 30 pounds and the C25K training!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

That is funny- we saw Toy Story 3 on the day Myles graduated from Kindergarten!! In his ceremony at the school all the kids sang "you've got a friend in me!" Myles introduced the song- and I kept thinking how perfect for our day!!!

Thanks for the support - it has been one tough battle keeping the motivation! the last month I have been just awful about eating healthy. Today I start again. I keep having these start agains and i am hoping one of them will stick!

It was great to hear from you!! I hope you have a great trip in July and I want to see pics when you get back!!

Thanks Stephanie!! I hope you will make it in october!! I think that is going to be a GREAT trip! Thanks for the support- I know that everyone has the slumps, I just want to get out of this one. It has been a month long. Today I woke up and felt stronger to finally END this one and start again. I hope it lasts!!

So great that you are being complimented on looking good!!! That is great motivation for sure!!

Hey everyone!! Happy 4th of July weekend!!!! I am so excited, we are heading to the Cape:lovestruc After Disney, the Cape is my next favorite place to be!! We will be spending the 4th on Old Silver Beach in Falmouth, MA and the weather looks like it is going to be FANTASTIC! The fireworks will go off around 9 and they even pipe in some music like Wishes!! We are pretty excited!!

Trampolines!

Update for the C25K - I have completed week 5 (two weeks now) and really need my hubby to download week 6 - maybe I should just learn how to download this to my IPOD!? :confused3 I am planning on starting week 6 on the Cape this weekend. I am sure I will find some beautiful places to run!!

I am NOT EVEN GOING TO TALK DIET THIS WEEK:headache: Let's just say I am hoping for a better week next week!!!!!!

Ok- so onto DISNEY!!!!!!

We have changed plans a little..... on our first big family dinner (the saturday night when we are all together) we will be eating at Tepan Edo. I put the question out there on the DIS for a good place with a large group and lot's of people said this would be a great choice. I guess we may even get our own room! Wayne and I have always wanted to try it and the kids will all love the chef cooking right at our table... so I think this is going to be a great choice!!

I left off on Day 4 plans.....

Day 4 - Monday January 31st - Carrie's Birthday

IMG_4175.jpg

On this day we will wake up really early!! We have a 8:00AM ADR at Donald's Safari Breakfast at the Tusker House. I really went back and forth on this one.... I really like the food both times we have been here but the character interaction on BOTH occasions has been the worst of any character meal we have been to.... and we have been to a lot! BUT, my niece really wants to have a meal with Goofy and because they will be at Universal while we are eating at Chef Mickeys the first night, I think this may be our only other option!! So, maybe it will turn out to be a good thing. We can get the big family picture with Donald, and this will be our last day all together and Carrie's Birthday so I think it will be a great way to start the day! Last year the EMH for AK was on that Monday. So if it is again this year I have no clue what that will mean.... do we go to the park for the EMH and then have breakfast later??? What do you think?

IMG_4188.jpg

For Animal Kingdom we really want to all go on the Safari together and catch Nemo and Lion King! I am sure everyone will want to go on Everest and Dinosaur. For lunch we think Yak and Yeti CS!? We have been hearing some bad things about Flametree and we LOVED Yak and Yetti, so I hope that the Counter Service will be ok there!?

Hopefully this time around I won't get into a fight with "Texting Tina" :rotfl2:

After lunch we head back to POFQ- the plan is to have most of the afternoon to relax at the pool or maybe take the boat to DTD. Jeff and his family are leaving this afternoon! I am sure we will all be very sad to say goodbye!!

Around 6 we will either take the bus from DTD to the Poly or if we are at POFQ we will take the bus to MK and then monorail or boat over to the Poly for our dinner at Ohana!

Dinner is at 7 and Wishes is at 8, so I am excited to experience Wishes from the Poly!! We have seen Wishes from Narcoosees, and Cali Grill but never from Ohana. Have any of you seen it from there!!?? After dinner maybe we will head out to the beach and watch the EWP and then head back to POFQ for some much needed rest!!

We loved Teppan Edo! We did it for the first time in February and it was a hit with everyone. I think it will be a blast for your group.

I've never done the breakfast at Tusker House. I hope your character experience is better this time around.

In 2004 we had dinner at 'Ohana's and got to experience the fireworks. It was magical. We should have had the same experience in February, but. . . (you'll have to wait for that update).

Have a great 4th! You're plans look great!:thumbsup2

Happy 4th of July! Enjoy your trip to the Cape!

Don't worry about the weight so much! You are doing a great job getting your body healthier. The weight will come off eventually, I know it!!:cheer2:

Day 4 looks fun! We like Teppen Edo, we haven't eat there in quite a few years because we eat at Benihana a few times a year, but Emily loves watching the chef cook in front of us! I think it will be a great dinner for your family and the boys will love it! :goodvibes

You're rockin the C25K, keep up the great work!!:thumbsup2
