I know the Earplanes thing is always suggested but be prepared for the little one to cry more because of the Earplanes than the ear pressure. When our youngest was betwenn 1 and 2, we had to fly and he was just getting over an ear infection. (On antibiotics for only 3 days when we flew) I thought the earplanes would be a good idea - just in case. Well, I spent the $6 and tried to put them in. He screamed like I was trying to kill him. SO, no Earplanes. He was fine. We had juice for him to drink, etc. and we had no problems at all. Even at 10 months, those little ones can have pretty strong opinions about what they want. (or don't want!!!) Have a good trip!!
