So after riding a few rides, jungle cruise, POTC, and Splash Mountain (definitely NOT Mulan's favorite) it was time to head over to our 105pm ressie for Liberty Tree Tavern. Stitch and I had eaten here for dinner on our honeymoon the year before but LTT was new to everyone else. Of course when we were here it was still a character dinner but they have since taken the characters away. It was actually nice to eat without worrying about getting autographs and pictures and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
Liberty Tree Tavern is found in Liberty Square of course and is in a really cute colonial building just around the corner from HM.
We were seated in the room directly to the left of the entrance and it was really nice. We had a nice size table for our large party which gave us lots of space to enjoy our meal. You also did not feel like you were right on top of the other tables. Even though the restaurant was relatively quiet with the celebration theme going on it seemed like no matter where you were there was always many birythday songs being sung. I have to admit that we added to the noise with our own celebration for Mulan's 19th birthday. It was a lot of fun though.
I didn't get a really good picture of the inside of the restaurant but you can sort of see it here behind Donald and Mulan (who is wearing her great Birthday shirt that I made her from the DISigns board...thanks!!)
Service here was also excellent. We had "Mo" from Morocco and he had the best smile. We were all incredibly thirsty from our morning in the parks and he was great. Before you even knew that your drink was getting empty Mo had it refilled. Also, Mulan decided to have iced tea, and little did she know that American iced tea is just that, cold tea. In Canada iced tea is sweetened and tastes much different. Of course she didn't like it and Mo changed her drink for her right away.
I'll break down the reviews person by person giving a description of what each person ate and there individual reviews.
Mulan
Drink: Iced Tea but quickly changed to Diet Coke

Maryland Crab Cake
"Lightly fried blue crab cake on roasted corn succotash with tartar sauce" $10.49
As you can see the crab cakes were a decent sized portion but Mulan like them so much that she would have liked more...I don;t think she realized how much food was coming her way! She didn't really like the tartar sauce or the succotash but enjoyed the cakes themselves.

"Braised beef in Cabernet wine & mushroom sauce served with mashed potatoes and garden vegetables"

Mulan said that she would order this agan...the meat was very tender, you could cut it with your spoon, and the vegetables were cooked really well. The only thing Mulan did not like was the wine taste to the sauce. She found it very strong and, because she does not like alcohol, she realized that she should not order anything cooked in a wine sauce. So if you are not a wine person do not make this your entree choice. I tasted the pot roast and I like wine and I thought it was very tasty.

Caramel Apple Tart
"Shortbread Crust, Sugared Aplles and Cinnamon Ice Cream"

This was not Mulan's cup of tea. She enjoyed it but she is definitely a sweets person and she did not find this dessert sweet enough. She did, however, enjoy the birthday song that all the waiters sang to her

This appetizer was shared with Mickey and it was definitely a big enough portion for 2. We do not know what type of cheese each was but Donald liked them all except for the 'smaller' cheese.

Donald did not really enjoy this choice. He said that the turkey and stuffing were just okay but that the beans were really good...and he normally hates green beans. Won't even touch them at home. If he were to return he would get the Pot Roast instead.
Dessert
Donald also chose the caramel apple tart. He said that he enjoyed it but he would have liked the inside of the tart to be hotter. He found it a little bit cold.

Drink Minute Maid Light Lemonade This is where his love for light lemonade began!! From here on out any restaurant who did not serve light lemonade was a bit of a disappointment and, since we don't have it available in Canada, we not sure what he's going to do now that he's at home.

He also enjoyed this appetizer but, unlike Donald, he enjoyed the smaller cheese more than the bigger. I guess they were a good pair to share that appy!!

Mickey said that he enjoyed this however, between you and me, he seemed to be picking at his food too much to actually have liked it. He said that the portion size was much too bug for Lunch but I just don't think that he really liked this entree all that much.

Tink chose the buttermilk dressing for her salad and she said it was amazing. It looked really creamy and it looked like there was a good amount of dressing on the salad. It was also a huge portion. She managed to at the whole thing though.

So the reason Stitch enjoyed this place last year was due to the quantity of food in the all you can eat family style buffet that they serve at dinner, so he was disappointed to start that this was not available at lunch.

He said that this was a great portion for two people (portion size is a great compliment from Stitch!!) and he really enjoyed the marinara sauce. Stitch is not usually a fan of marinara sauce but this sauce was more like a salsa. It was really thick and chunky and went great with the cheese.

It was...it was described as 'fabulous' by Stitch. I tasted it and found it really sweet and I don;t think I would have been able to finish the whole thing. Stitch had no problem though

I really enjoyed this. The coating on the cheese was not too thick. It was nice and light and both cheeses were really tasty. The portion size was perfect for two people and I also really enjoyed the marinara sauce.

I enjoyed this but not quite as much as I did the year before. I don't know if I was expecting too much or if it was just not quite as good. The gravy was really tasty though...just like at home. I did not like the dressing at ll. It had a real chicken soup flavor to it and it did not seem to go with the r4est of the meal. the green beans were rally great too.

I would come back just for this dessert!! The pastry was amazing and it was nice and light after such a filling meal. The cinnamon ice cream I could just eat on it's own. It reminded me of Christmas for some reason and, since I love Christmas, this dessert was definitely a winner!!

First of all, many thanks for doing such an incredible job of posting the superb pictures and reviews! I was very surprised to see however, that the pot roast at LTT didn't have the fried onion straws on top. I've gotten it on our last couple trips, and it was always adorned with lots of those, which were the best part! So I'm wondering if Mulan made a request for them to not be added? Anyhow, thanks again; LOVE the pictures ... your report gets 5 stars from me!

We loved the deluxe. It was a lot of food but if you space it out well with signature dining it's excellent. I loved the ability to get anything I wanted on the menu. The chouice of appetizers was great. We also loved being able to have any snack in the park and not worry about the cost or if we were running out of snack credits. I will have a hard time returning to Disney without DxDDP
It's tons of fun to travel in a big group...I don;t know if I was as much fun to travel with. I think they all got sick of me pulling out my little mickey and minnie notebook at each meal and yelling "don't eat that yet...I have to take a picture first!!"

Tony's will be coming up next...it was one of the restaurants I was most looking forwward to becuase we had missed out on it the year prior because I got so sick at the end of our honeymoon. That's why I booked it the first day this trip...I was making sure that we got there!!
