Hi guys!

I'm SO sorry that it took me sooooo long to update!

Ok, where did I leave off?

AUGUST 18th

Biergarten

Now I'll say upfront, try as I might, these pictures just did not come out properly :(

But that wont stop me from writing a review! :goodvibes

While the food and service at Biergarten are good, the value is fantastic mainly because of the show.

For those that have never been to Biergarten it is set up like a small german town, dim lighting, tiered seating and you sit banquet style at tables that seat 8. This means you will be seated with at least 1 other party. Its a great experience because 99% of people at Disney are thrilled to be there and happy to talk.

The buffet includes assorted cold salads, breads & rolls (white, whole wheat and pretzel). Roasted Potatoes, glazed carrorts, warm potato salad, beef roulades, roasted chicken, pork schnitzel, spatzel and many other items.

Everything I tried was hot and fresh. The quality was good, but not great. I feel that the dessert buffet options are *extremely* limited. There was vanilla pudding, bavarian cheesecake, black forest cake and apple strudel.

The show was the highlight of the night. Very cute, lots of fun and audience interaction. We'll definitely return at some point in the future.

**side note** I know that Artist Point was not originally in my ADR list. With Tropical Storm Fay sweeping in this evening we decided to try and get a last minute ADR. As we are staying at WL we felt it would be better to just stay in and enjoy the resort.

It has been a few years since I last ate here and I must say, the experience was even better than I remembered.

We started with two orders of the Venison Spring Rolls. These were delicious! They didn't taste gamey at all, in fact they were very well seasoned and the sauce was sweet and sour with a slight heat in the background.

They also brought us some fabulous sourdough bread.

Now, when I glanced at the menu I was saddened to see that the pork chop was no longer served with the delicious Tilamook Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese. I told my waiter of my disappointment and he informed me that he was able to specially request it! Mmmm! The pork was moist and juicy and the macaroni and cheese was perfectly sharp and rich.

My mom ordered the Roasted Chicken Breast with Apple-Root Vegetable Puree and Haricot Vert. She said the chicken was perfectly cooked because it had been roasted with the skin on and that the puree was the perfect compliment.

My dad got the Buffalo Sirloin and substituted Truffled Fries and Wild Mushrooms for the Sweet Potato Gratin. He said the Buffalo wasn't gamey, but was more dense than beef. I tried this dish and thought it was wonderful. The Fries were intensely flavourful but in a good way.

For dessert my Mom & Dad shared a Grand Marnier Flight (Grand Marnier, 100 year Grand Marnier and 150 year Grand Marnier)
ry%3D320

I ordered the Chocolate Raspberry Brownie. This was Khalua, Chambord and Hot Chocolate topped with Whipped Cream. OMG this was unbelievably good!
ry%3D320

For non-liquid desserts we ordered the Peach Upside Down Cake with Peach Ice Cream and Almond Florentine Cookie, as well as the Hazelnut Chocolate Torte with Blood Orange Glaze & Vanilla-Lavander Ice Cream

With out Disny Dining Experience Card this meal came to $230. We thought that was VERY reasonable for 2 appetizers, 6 drinks, 3 entrees, and 2 desserts.

In addition, the Manager Rich came over to talk to us midway through the evening. He was very pleasant and struck up a conversation about different wines. Much to our surprise moments later he retuned with 2 samples for each member of our party. He felt these 2 wines were perfect examples of the great wines coming out of the North West. We were very impressed!

That meal at Artist Point sounds delicious. The pork chop looks lovely and I love the sounds of the Chocolate Raspberry Brownie drink - yum :)

I'm happy to see it since it is one of the adrs we have in afew weeks. I see very few reviews here, but the ones I do see always seem great! I was especially like that you have some wonderful pictures of you "Fay Day" meal!

Thanks!

Karen

Great rviews :goodvibes

I have to try that chicken salad at WPE in December, it looks great. :thumbsup2

You didn't comment on your impressions of the peach upside-down cake. Was it good?

Thank you for these terrific reviews!

Oh MY goodness!!!!!! What awesome reviews and pictures! I can't wait for the rest!!!:dancHe3:

Hi Do you have 6 children? What a blessing!!:cutie:
And is one of them born on Sept. 15th?
My DD14 will be 15 on the 15th!!

I just thought about something!! This is my DD's golden birthday!!

wiped the drool off the keyboard, now a question. Cannot WAIT to hit WPE, our favorite CS meal but I can't decide between the Chinois Chicken salad and the meatball pizza. Now how did you pick the 2 things I want without asking me?!?!;) . If you could only pick one (and we're at POFQ so WPE might be visited more than once) which would it be and why?? They both look so good!

Great reviews!

I love Artist's Point  Sounds like a wonderful meal (and a great way to stay dry ;) ) That brownie drink sounds absolutely wonderful :cloud9:

I'm enjoying your report and hope you're keeping dry!
question - where are your offsite reviews? please share!
