Love, Love, Love your TR. You never fail to make me laugh and crave a drink I have never tried before. :thumbsup2

MAPiglet Fan...are you still here? I was thinking of breaking form and posting the backstage train tour for you before leaving for WDW next week. I know you've got it booked and will be leaving soon for your own trip - would you like to read about our tour before you go? Let me know!

yes yes i am still here! !!! :cool1: you are the BEST-EST for remembering me and our silly train tour that is RAPIDLY coming up! i would LOVE a review before i go..but don't rush on my account, our trip to the world is still 25 days away
have a wicked good time next week ( yes, i am from new england)..lovin the reports equally :thumbsup2

Brenda-No-Pants! I've been gone...took me all morning to catch up. (My employer thanks you...NOT!)

I can't believe you're leaving next week already, right?! Do us all a favor and have lots of adventures (and booze), guaranteeing you'll have lots to write about when you finish this trippie. :goodvibes

Judge: Mr. Hutz, are you aware you're not wearing any pants?
Lionel Hutz: Uh, your Honor, can I call for one of those bad trial thingys?
Judge: You mean a mistrial?
Lionel Hutz: Yeah ... that's why you're the judge, and I am the law ... talkin' ... guy.

Brenda,

that picture of the grimach is priceless.:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Thank you - I'm glad you got a chuckle out of it!

Back off, babe! Goofy is MINE! When he took my hand and kissed it in the hub at the Magic Kingdom, I would have run off with him, myself. Is it hot in here? Yet another reason why we're part of some type of Disney Borg Collective. ;)

I'm willing to share. ;)

The Grimace picture just KILLED me. :rotfl2: Of course she set you up for failure! You're offering another cheesesteak and she's getting a Reuben for your trouble. ;)

We almost deleted that picture from our camera at first and then Jay made a really good point - it was the only picture we were able to take of my mom and me all day long. And we were laughing ourselves silly over it, so there was really no way we were going to let something that good end up in the digital trash bin. ;)

Karen I had to delete a bunch of your laughing green guys, but I'm pleased to know that you get so much pleasure out of laughing at my mom. ;)

Ooooo, I LOVE that reasoning for a drink! I hate it when something comes out of my mouth (or my writing) that is so grammatically incorrect it makes me cringe, so I think making a drink would be the perfect cure!:thumbsup2

I only wish that I could have used drinking as an editing tool when I was taking all those editing / journalism / creative writing classes in school. I think it would have made the classwork a lot more enjoyable.

I agree, I really need to know what I'm eating before I eat it!

I'm willing to try new things, but I want to know what's in the new thing first. Is that so wrong? :lmao:

My whole family loves Goofy, and he's the extra special favorite of my dear Disney-loving BIL. So really, you're fine.;)

Thanks for the re-assurance, Lori! :thumbsup2

Don't you wish they'd just say what they mean, instead of making us guess and then making us all crazy because it wasn't really what they wanted in the first place?!

My mother is passive-aggressive, so she never says what she means or verbalizes what she really wants. That way she can blame the rest of us when our mind-reading skills fail and we book a character breakfast that doesn't include Mickey Mouse. :rotfl2:

I hope your parents don't do this to you in October...otherwise you will need a stroller to take you and the hubby around the World Showcase!! ;)

Great installment to start off my day, Brenda. Yesterday work completely got in the way of my DIS-ing (how dare it!), so this was a good way to get my Friday started!

I'm always happy to help people goof off at work. Thanks again for reading - glad you enjoyed the installment and the Grimace picture.

grimace ftw! haha, jk.

you're great! thanks for the fun update!

Thanks Lamagique - glad you enjoyed it! I know you particularly like it when Grimace makes an appearance and I was hoping that this installment would meet with your approval!

Yeah baby!! A de-cloaked reader!!

First of all thanks for reading and for letting me know you're here! I'm happy to know that you are enjoying the tale so far and I'll see what I can do about adding another drink or two soon!

Secondly, I love your user name!! :thumbsup2

Gina, I will do my best to add that part of the trippie over the weekend or very early next week, ok? Thanks for sticking with me! :goodvibes

Not true!

Nancy, you're so sweet! You just haven't seen the bad side of me yet...it's there, trust me. ;)

Brenda-No-Pants! I've been gone...took me all morning to catch up. (My employer thanks you...NOT!)

I was worried about you - glad to see that you've returned to the DIS and I do hope all is well on your side of the country.

And, as previously stated...I'm always happy to help my fellow DISers slack at work. ;)

I can't believe you're leaving next week already, right?! Do us all a favor and have lots of adventures (and booze), guaranteeing you'll have lots to write about when you finish this trippie. :goodvibes

This time next week you will find us at Raglan Road drinking too much beer and eating too much food and checking to be sure that we are still wearing pants.

We will try to cram as much as possible into the week so that no one here is disappointed in the Shrubbery or its related dining report.

Judge: Mr. Hutz, are you aware you're not wearing any pants?

"So, Mr. Nahasapeemapetilon, if that is your real name..." :rotfl2:

That episode was just on last night!

That picture of Grimace is Classic!!! I whole heartedly agree that they should serve the big Mickey waffles at the Cape May Buffet Breakfast! Hurry back with more.:cool1:

I totally agree about knowing what something is. But a WDW, you can always bet on the "A roasted blah blah blah, encrusted with yada yada, in a something something demi glace."

Re: Passive agressive relatives -- you mean when my ILs say "whatever you decide is just fine," they may not mean it? :scared1:

You are not giving me much hope.

Brenda love is it possible you were swapped at birth?...Maybe the lady with the smacked **** ain't your mam after all.....:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Grimace is famous - if she only knew!

I just think offering waffles on a buffet is a bad idea - they get too cold too fast just sitting out there waiting for someone to nab 'em.

And...I was going to update this evening but they're shutting down the boards....waaaaaaaah!!

I totally agree about knowing what something is. But a WDW, you can always bet on the "A roasted blah blah blah, encrusted with yada yada, in a something something demi glace."

This is true and if I can get the sauce on the side I'm usually OK with that...as long as the food isn't encrusted with something I don't like. ;)

Hope? With parents / in-laws at Disney? Oh dear... :rotfl2:

ps...Or did Minnie just whisper in her ear that they were closing down Las vegas?....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I think you may have hit the nail on the head with your second idea. :lmao:

Thanks Gina! :flower3:

As I previously mentioned, I was planning to update this evening but the decision has been taken out of my hands. I'll do my best to get it posted tomorrow or on Monday night.

Thanks again everyone - have a great second half to your weekend! :goodvibes

Just have to let you know that I am reading your trip report(s) and love them!

My son, who is also quite the Disney nut at 7, thinks the plankton video is hilarious. He asks to watch it every night. He also has told me that we need a furry friend to take to Disney for our Mom/son trip in September. He suggests Pokemon since he is into the cards now. So, I am looking for one.

Great report!

Another new poster!! Welcome aboard Davidsmommy!! :wave2: Thank you for reading and for your kind words. :goodvibes

Awwww...that is so sweet. I told my husband about your post and he said, "We are obviously a bad bad influence." ;)

Good luck finding the perfect vacation mascot and have fun on that September trip. I hope you come back to tell us all about it! Thanks again for reading. :goodvibes

Hi Brenda! I'm a long-time lurker and first-time poster. :) I've read your dining report several times and started reading the trip report today. I really enjoy reading your reports. All the crazy funny stuff you and your husband do on trips reminds me of my trips with my parental units...though my last Disney trip was in April 2004. I'm aching to go back. Your mom cracks me up. The Grimace!!! That name is hilarious! :lmao:

Your dining report particularly touched me because I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis last summer and had to have my colon removed last September. I used to love spicy food and be adventurous, and now I have to be careful what I eat. However, I don't want my dietary restrictions to stop me. I still want to have my :cake: and eat it too. ;)

I eagerly await your next installment.

Kiki

Okay, I finally made it to page 22!!! I love this trip report and I love the Grimace. I had no idea you could do the picture, ride twice thing! You can do that at any of the rides? Did you try it again? When is your next trip? Or maybe you are on that trip now... I thought it was in May.

Kiki, hello! :wave2: Another newly de-cloaked reader and poster!! Thanks so much for stopping to comment (and so nicely, too!). I'm so glad you're enjoying the read...I know there's a lot to wade through.

Grimace was just here for dinner last night - we had to catch ourselves on more than one occasion from calling her that during dinner! :rotfl2:

Oh, you poor thing...   I hope you're feeling better now, but you must have really felt awful if you ended up with colon removal. Do you mind my asking just how restricted your diet is? Bless your heart...I want to send you some cake now.

I'm hoping to get one last update in tomorrow - it was supposed to be today but I have mind-mush and no one wants to read an extended version of that, trust me. ;)

I have to leave work early tomorrow so I should have some extra time to do laundry, organize clothes, and update.

Stay well, Kiki, and thanks again for reading. :goodvibes

Stacy!!!! :yay: Has life calmed down at all for you? Did you get to take your vacation yet and get some much needed relaxation?

We're going to try the double-ride thing again next week (we leave on Friday morning) and see if it's really an option. The CM that let us do it in October said it was an option at all the "picture-taking attractions." I guess we'll find out.

Thanks again for stopping to read us - I know it's a lot to get through. I just love to hear myself type. :rotfl2:

Wow, I can't believe it is almost time for you to go again! Just don't start that TR until I can catch up with this one!:rotfl2:

Most importantly, where are you eating on this trip?

No, life has not settled down at all. Our house is the weekend party house. In the last 3 weeks I have had 6 cookouts/parties - 5 at my house and one huge one at church. I have two this weekend. But on June 4th the kids head to camp in Oklahoma and DH and I have a B & B reserved in Vicksburg. I plan to leave the room to eat. Although I have not told DH that my plan is to :cloud9: not  :rotfl2: I start a new class tomorrow and I am not looking forward to that!

Is there a statue (sp?) of limitations on starting a trip report? I still have my very detailed notes. I just need some time!!

We are done with baseball this week so maybe I can read more tomorrow!

Too late!! See the link in the bottom of my signature...Bring us a Shrubbery! That's the pre-trip report. And then in red...that's the title for the soon to be started food review. There is something seriously wrong with me...three reports at once...like I don't have enough other things to do... :rotfl2:

Most importantly, where are you eating on this trip?

Since you asked... ;)

We have ADRs for the following restaurants:

Raglan Road
Jiko
House of Blues - Gospel Brunch

Wolfgang Puck's Dining Room (the one upstairs from the cafe)
Kona Cafe (at the Kona....I won't sing the rest)
Flying Fish
Victoria & Albert's - The Chef's Table!!!
California Grill
Artist Point

My goodness - you need to take a breather my friend!

The B&B in Vicksburg sounds lovely - I keep telling Jay that we need to drive down there one weekend and check things out since we're such big Civil War geeks.

And there is no statute of limitations on trippies - when you're ready to write it there will be people here who are ready to read it! :thumbsup2

Have a good one and thanks for posting! :flower3:
