Gah! Oh sure, there were updates not once, but twice while I was at WDW!
And you didn't even warn me. Evil, evil Brenda. ;)

I can't believe I haven't gotten an email on the updates until today! We were at WDW 7th-14th and NO EMAILS! But, I was thrilled to get this one today and I hope you're having a great time down there! Yes, we tried the fiesta margarita and it was heavenly! I also have to thank you for introducing me to the Grand Marnier slushie! It really got me and DH through DD's meltdown one evening! Aren't I a good parent? Seriously, she was pitching fit b/c her daddy had splashed water on her at the fountain in France and got her pants wet! Even sweet tea couldn't calm her down. Ah, but I remembered Brenda's recommendation from this area and scouted out the slushie cart to save the day! Then she was mad that she couldn't have an orange slushie!

I also tried a wonderful sweet reisling in Germany (Diva vineyards?), but that was the extent of my samplings. I rinsed out my plastic wine glass and gave it to DD to drink water out of. I wonder what people were thinking seeing a 6 y/o in a Disney stroller nursing a wine glass full of ?????That darn DDP just kept me too full to try lots of food booths. We did hit the Bakeri in Norway for some rice cream--mmm good!

Hope your having lots of new adventures to entertain us with!! Hello to Plankton!

Ok, so you're right in the middle of your vacation right now...I sure hope you're having a wonderful time. I can't imagine that you wouldn't be!

It's so nice to see you 'back' and posting again. Work really gets in the way of life, doesn't it?

I so wish I could be on vacation right now, too -- I'm looking out my office at a smoke-filled So Cal sky right now and your Simpsons-filled updates are just what I needed...:)

I have been lurking for a while and love your trip reports.
I just had to reply:

"As for dessert...I did not, and still do not, know what a ligonberry is. Before stopping here and using our last two snack credits I'd never even heard of a ligonberry. Have you ever heard of a ligonberry? What type of US berry is it related to: Strawberry; Raspberry; Gooseberry; Twinberry; Dave Barry???"

Lingonberries grow like little wild blueberries or huckleberries. I think they taste a lot like cranberries. If you have an IKEA near you, you can get them there if you so desire :)

I am looking forward to hearing about your latest trip.

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to let you all know that Jay and I made it home safely from WDW on the afternoon of 10/25 and I have started a thread for our food reveiws from the trip.

Although it's totally unrelated to this TR, I thought I'd post the link here for anyone who might be interested in checking out some recent food reviews that will inlclude the current F&W Festival.

The link ...

Hungry Are The Damned

Thanks to all of you for reading this TR and all the others that I've been juggling this year - you really do make this cranky old crohn happy by doing so. I would also like to say a special "hello!" to all of those "lurkers" who said such kind and lovely things to me while Jay and I were at WDW this past week. You all really made me feel warm and fuzzy inside - thank you! :grouphug:

And by the way ... Grimace says hi! :rotfl2:
