If you had it, what would you do with it?

Now for the rules...
  1. It has to be a trip/vacation/holiday.
  2. I'm not looking for exact numbers here. Give or take a couple of days or a couple of thousand dollars, but trying to keep within those rough parameters.
  3. I'm not looking for details either. I don't need a detailed itinerary, just something like "2 weeks in Maui at the Hyatt Regency", or whatever.
  4. It cannot be to a Disney Property. Hey, we all know how much everyone here has a preference for Disney.
  5. Last, but most importantly, you're taking this trip alone. No spouse, kids, friends, family, whatever. It's a solo trip for your own benefit, relaxation, enjoyment, and so forth.
So what say you?

If I can't go with anyone that I don't want to go.

I would go to different parts of Japan. Since things are pricier there and I'm sure you would want to get souveniors and such, I would keep a thousand dollars or two thousands dollars set aside for each place. I would visit the various visitor attractions, try the foods of the area, go to some hot springs...

I'd go skiing somewhere. Can do that by myself, skiers are friendly. Maybe by Day 10, I'd get my "legs" back. Probably Aspen, although $1,000/day might not get me too much. Or a mixed trip, Crested Butte and Telluride, or Jackson Hole and Steamboat. But it would have to be ski-in/ski-out. With lots of cute guys to carry my skis for me.

(But I'd rather go to disney with my daughter.)

Bora Bora, in a hut built over the water!

With a stack of paperbacks and no cell phone. :)

one of those exclusive resorts on an island being catered to all day long

I would take a luxury cruise on the Mediterrain - 10 days would be perfect for such an undertaking.

My entire thought process for the trip changed when I read the last rule. I love my family & naturally assume that they would accompany me on a trip. However, I am comfortable enough with myself that I could enjoy a 10 trip doing exactly what I want/when I want know that DH is quite capable of taking care of the boys. I just wouldn't think about what the house would look like upon my return.

:D
Me either. That's part of the reason behind this topic. I need some ideas!
:D

Oh, and excellent ideas so far!

A land tour of all of Europe, starting in England, down to the Spain, Portugal, the French Riviera, Italy, Greece, up to Moscow, down to Germany, Switzerland, Austria, then up to the Scandinavian side and work my way down to Denmark and finish in Holland.

Las Vegas - 5 nights in the Venetian, 5 nights in the Bellagios. A helicopter flight to the Grand Canyon followed by White water rafting along the river. A few hours in the indoor sky diving centre, catch a few shows, and spend some time shopping in the two hotels. Then if I had any money left I might gamble a little but not much (I probably wouldn't have any left after going to the designer stores any way!!) Oh and several hours riding the various roller coasters.

I'd rough it through Asia for as long as the money would last.

Hey...it's my dream....LOL!

I would probably go to some ski resort rent me a room with a gorgeous view of the mountains. It would have to located within walking distance of nice little down. The days that there was snowfall, I would probably just sit there with a good book, hot cocoa and read and watch the snow come down. Mainly just enjoy the beauty of nature and listen to the silence.
