10, 9, 8, 7…Partying with the mouse NYE 2009! Home and working on a TR.

I can't wait to read your trip report. Now that you have jury duty out of the way hopefully your name never gets picked again. I live in a small town with a courthouse and never have we been picked. You handled yourself well, I think I would have anxiety overload.

I loved the picture you posted in the Snowbirds thread and look forward to seeing more photos and read about your trip.

Hey! I remember you...asking about Farrah. We just missed one another at WDW. We left on the 21st of December.

I've subscribed to this thread too---can't wait to read it :)

WOW.....it does sound nerve raking to be chosen to be on the jury!! Glad it's behind you and you're done for a while, right?

Hope you're well!!!:goodvibes

Hope you're having a good day :) Looking forward to the trip report.

 Ok, now that my EAGLES HAVE ONCE AGIAN LOST A BIG GAME! Everyone has almost left my house. I need to clean up a bit and I will be back to post.

Can't wait to hear more!

Jury duty - I am the odd duck in my family in that I LOVE jury duty!! Of course, it could be because I have a paralegal degree and find the law fascinating (of course, too, am I working in the legal field - NO! :) ). I was chosen to be on a jury once, as an alternate. Talk about horrible! You can't talk or give opinions or anything! Which, is VERY difficult for me! :rotfl:

Anyway... can't wait to hear all about your trip!!!

Hey, just checking in. Loved hearing about your jury duty. I work in the court system and always wonder how jurors feel. They usually tell us afterwards there is too much waiting around and unanswered questions. It's very common, but you did the right thing based on the evidence.

Looking forward to hearing about your trip!!!
I enjoyed it! I think I was the only one who did not complain that day.
I dare not tell those other jurys I always wanted jury duty.

I enjoyed it too. I hear there is a book called Anatomy of a Jury. My DD friend mom, is a lawyer and she said I would like it. I just finshed Twilight after four months. :rotfl:
I dwelled a little bit on Friday, but have put it behind me. I can not help the police did not see things through better. Yes, I felt bad for the alternates. One of them took my # so she could know what happened and talk about the case.

December 31st 2008 THE BIG DAY
I hear the alarm clock go off. DH is the one who jumped out of bed and said “honey Mickey is waiting for you!” pirate:
DH made me a cup of tea and I got dressed. ::yes:: The night before we had placed the box in the living room. At 7:30am DH woke up DS and DD. At 7:40 because I could not wait anymore, he called them out to the living room. :hyper: DS came first and DD refused to come out and sit on the couch.

VIDEO BELOW:

My voice makes me laugh, because you can hear how excited I am. I kept myself from crying. As you see they were more confused then shocked. It did not sink in till DH got out the luggage and we stop taping. DS still was like are we really going to Disney. I was like yes and go get ready. DD of course then wants to know what I packed for her to wear. They got dressed and ate breakfast. DH and I both did not eat breakfast. We were both still excited. I want over my must do list a million times. Making sure I did not forget anything. :coffee: At 8:49 we left the house and off to airport parking. DH had already pre booked our reservations for parking. We had no problem founding the spot, and the van was right there to take us to the airport. We were in a long Air Tran line to get our boarding passes. Since we booked with Disney Travel you can to get your boarding passes online. It moved fairly quickly. Got through security fine. We did have to remove our shoes. Security asked the kids their names and ages, and the one man said next year he drives huh? We said no in a couple of days he will be 16. I then tell him we are going to WDW for his birthday and that it was a surprise etc. You can tell I was still so excited. Waiting for the plane.

They started boarding around 10:45 due to a full plane. We were seated two and two behind each other. I was ok with this, but the girl next to me was not to happy. She was part of a big party heading to a wedding on a cruise. I just ignored her every time she asked if I wanted to switch seats with other people in her party. I was fine with our seats. Off we go.
The plane ride was very smooth and we landed on time.

The video was hysterical!! You could tell the kids had NO idea what to think about your surprise, but you did it you surprised them!!:rotfl2: Looking forward the hearing the rest of your trip!!!

I love the video! We will be borrowing my mom's camcorder so we can tape our DD's reaction. 6 more days!

Subbing as a fellow Snowbird! I've always wanted jury duty, too. My husband never minds when he's been called and last year, he served on an armed robbery case that ended up being the man's second? third? consecutive life sentance. Great guy!

I love the video..the look on his face is priceless...like, "are you serious?" look. Wish I could have done that for my DW but we actually decided to go five years ago when we got married but couldn't. But NOW we're going in June :)

Looks like a good start to a good TR :)

Great report...your kids are too funny! They look so stunned! Your DD has changed since your pictures from your last trip...so grown up!! Doesn't take long!:sad1:

Yes, you must do that.

See I am not the only strange one out there. WOW, that must have been crazy. I forgot to mention that on the first day we left, we were escorted by a sheriff to our cars. I was like ok, this is serious.

I should have something else up tonight. Sorry about the video. DD tried to get it on the computer for me to edit, and it was just not happening. I just taped it off the TV. The camcoder barley works as it is. Anyone know of a good editing program?

Yay! The first installment. :cool1:

The video was too funny. Your son seems like he hadn't really woken up yet. :rotfl:

Glad the flight was on time and everything is going smoothly so far. :goodvibes

I am here for the partay...:cheer2: A lil' late but I found ya! I remember reading another trippie from you in the past, am I right? I remember your son in pics with a broken arm? wasn't that your trippie? BTW, your children have grown so much if I remember correctly. Time sure flies by and we usually can tell by their pics :sad1: . So treasure each day, I sure do!:goodvibes
