I really think that I will book a fake date while we are onboard and move it out when they release the 2010 dates open. We will be onboard for the big announcement about the itineraries too.

I am pretty sure they are going to Europe, based on the fact they are on the schedule at foreign ports for next summer. I would love to do the trans-atlantic, but I doubt we can. Tucker will be in 7th grade then, and it would mean missing over a week of school for him. I did see that DCL got approval for Alaska at some point in the future... so I may wait for that one!

Fall seems to have arrived - been in the
40's at night and only in the 60's during the day.

Not us! We are supposed to be 89 today, and it was 91 yesterday. It will start cooling off here some in the next few weeks.

I don't think I have posted this yet... NASA has a shuttle launch planned while we are at sea en route to CC. It is Oct 10 at 12:33 AM. Being a night launch, I feel sure we will have a good view... especially since we will be right off the coast of Florida. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that there are no delays!

So, I am anxiously awaiting my "docs" to come in the mail and the UPS man delivers a puny little envelope with 1) luggage tags and 2) a little booklet. Is this all there is? Very anti-climatic...I was hoping to have a little more excitement.

But, it does pose a few questions to ask of those who have traveled before

1) I received green luggage tags (DIS green at that!) that list our "pre-cruise" hotel (POFQ) on them, but I am not using their transfer to the port (we are renting a car)...do they just send them to everyone or did they send them by mistake?

2) I did not receive luggage tags for our return trip as we are using Disney Transportation back to WDW (Wilderness Lodge)...do they give those to you on the ship, or should they have sent those in these documents?

3) Also, in this booklet there are stubs to fill out, but I already did this on-line as per their instructions...why are they having us do it again?

Am I the only one that is confused? Am I way off base with this stuff or am I in a big mix up? I contacted my TA the other day, but have not heard back yet....but I thought you gals might know...?

The tags I believe are for your short WDW stay. Since you are not using DCL to get to the port you can get luggage tags at the port when you drop off your luggage

2) I did not receive luggage tags for our return trip as we are using Disney Transportation back to WDW (Wilderness Lodge)...do they give those to you on the ship, or should they have sent those in these documents? I would have thought you would have had tages for the return trip but maybe not. You will pick up your luggage in the terminal and take it with you back to WDW no real reason for tags.

They send them to everyone. If you have filled out the ones on line and PRINTED them there is no reason to do the ones in the booklet

I agree, very anti-climaactic! I had the same questions. I was expecting alittle more. I don't have anything to fill out though. I got the tags and two little booklets that look like the old airplane ticket books. I hope I am not missing anything.I filled out everything online and have my stuff ready to go.

Call DCL and ask them. You are staying at POFQ and you will leave from the resort at about noon. You will leave your luggage in the room and they will pick it up the day of the cruise. Don't forget to take your day bag with you as it will be after we sail when your bags appear.

There is a DCL desk at POFQ and I am guessing they will have luggage tags for you. When you call DCL ask them. Is it possible that the tags you got are the DCL ones? (My cruise tags are lime green and my WDW tags are yellow) Did they come with your DCL booklet? Do they have the name of the Magic on them anywhere and a stateroom number? I wonder if they have POFQ on them because that is where you are leaving from. Can't really say for sure without seeing them. Hope this helps, Lois

There used to be more but that is all it is anymore. For me it makes the cruise very real. I have my boarding pass so to speak. I can't believe it is almost here only 10 day as of the next AM. So much to do and don't know what corners to cut. Lois

Thanks! It helps me to know that I shouldn't be missing anything.
I figured, I am all paid up, filed everything out online, plane tickets are all set...I am boarding whether they want to let me or not!!! Enjoy your earlier cruise. I still can;t believe that we are so close after planning and waiting so long!!

We are back from lurking again and thanks to everyone for all of the great information for our first cruise. We are getting very excited. It will be me (Mike), my DW (Debbie) and our DS Jonathan 9(But now he has decided it is John). We are from Memphis. Big thanks to Verandahman for the postcard. Hello!!!

I am soooooooo tired because I am soooooooo excited about getting on the Wonder this Sunday with my 4 Michigan Mouseketeers!

I had 4 postcards from the ship from previous cruises -- the ones that are complementary in the staterooms. I mailed them to the kids on Monday and wrote something like "Mickey and his friends want to meet you real soon." Anyway, all four kids were excited to get cards from Mickey. Too cute!

Will post a mini TR after the Wonder cruise.
