No docs here I've been calling Geneva everyday to see if she got hers, answers the same , no docs yet.

We don't have our docs yet either . I spoke to my TA last night and she is expecting them any day. It seems like it will be forever before October gets here. I just want to get through next Wednesday. I have my first observation of the year that day. I am already nervous.

Jan, hope you have a blast on your cruise.

Well, I am off to bed. I've got to get DS13's band shirt ready for the football game tomorrow night. I have not been home one night this week. I am ready to stay home for a night.

Just a quick check in. We told DS13 about the trip this weekend. he was making plans to stay with a friend while we went on vacation because he did not want to go to beach. He is very excited now.

Kim - I would have loved to see his face when you told him. I don't think I could have kept the secret.

Denise - They will arrive in time but it always amazes me the timeframe from the first to the last.

Jan - safe travels and I can't wait to hear all about it.

Lois - NINE days! Wow. Just take it easy and don't overdo before you go. And then in two weeks - would someone say that to me please.

I leave for a conference in Fargo Satuday and will be back Tuesday night and then I can start packing. I have to get our menu done for OKW so I can order groceries by next week. Guess what I can do on the plane Saturday???

Well, tomorrow is Friday - YIPEE. It has been an awful week at the office this past week, much more than I care to deal with. Too bad I don't get OT as I had my 40 hours in by 9:00 this morning. Tonight will be an early night for me.

Can I join in on the fun???? Long story short...It's my 30th B-day and the Disney Cruise is where I want to celebrate!!!! We just booked yesterday! We had originally planned to go to Beaches in the Turks and Caicos, but it's closed because of hurricane damage! Thankfully, we got a full refund, now we're headed for the Magic! We've been on a 4 night cruise on the wonder, but this is our first 7 nighter!
It'll be me, my dh, and our adorable dd who will be 9 months in October! I'm a Disney fanatic and married my dh who liked Disney, but now loves it. I am soooo excited for this cruise! Life is good and I want to celebrate! We are going to be in a ocean view stateroom on deck 6!
I'm going to try to catch up on this thread, but don't know if I can get through all of it!
Right now, I'm gathering my packing list. It maybe silly, but maybe you all can help..... What do baby girl pirates wear? LOL!

Denise... are you supposed to get anything from Ike? I know you are on the worst side of the storm, so keep an eye out for tornadoes and such.

I can't believe we are getting so close to our trip! For so long, it has felt like it would never get here. Now, it is going by so fast that its a whirlwind. We leave in 20 days! So much left to do between now and then... and no time to do it. I am taking the Girl Scouts to the zoo on Sat. Next weekend the kids and I are going to the beach. The next weekend I will be camping with the Girl Scouts. Then Thursday, we leave!

My daughter Avery (5) is going all out picking her pirate costume... she has a hula girl top and a ballerina tutu that she is planning to wear! I'm planning to show her some at Party City and see if I can change her mind!

Sorry to hear your Beaches vacation got cancelled. I have thought about trying that at some point. Unfortuneately, my vacation wish list far exceeds my $$ and time off from work! Oh, well... one of these days!

The price gouging has officially started in NC. Gas went up 75 cents today because Ike might damage the refineries. They are saying it will go up another $1 by tomorrow. And to top it off... people are panicing, and the gas stations are running out. But... we will be filling up our cars in just a bit, since I have to drive to the zoo tomorrow (2 hrs) and Wynn will need to drive to work next week.

Glad I filled up last night. gas went to 4.19 today and probally a dollar more tomorrow. Wish we had bought plane tickets now, I hate to see what gas will be in 20 days.

DS13 is very excited now. He cried when we told him what we are really doing for vacation. Now he is busy planning all of his activities for the Stack.

All boys at grannys for the night, and dad at work. I am going to call it an early evening and get to sleep.

gas went to 4.19 today

It was $4.79 here when I filled up, although I found a station for $3.99. On the evening news they were showing stations here for $5.25-$5.49.

I paid $3.69 for the medium grade last night. Today regular unleaded was $4.09 and now $4.39. Hope it will be down by the time we leave.
