10/4/08-Buccaneers Take the West! Cruiser List in Post #1

Anyone going to Food & Wine Festival? We are going for just one night and staying at Beach Club before our flight home.

We're going to the Food & Wine Festival on September 29th and back again the night before the cruise. We're also going to MNSSHP on September 28th. This will be our first time for both events and we can't wait.

Really enjoying conversing with all of you (y'all)...I should have joined in ages ago! Usually it's just my family that gets all of the details of my planning. Need to restrain myself at work as I'm fairly sure they all think I'm Disney nuts...they say my boyfriend lives in Florida:rolleyes1 really, I don't know what they're talking about (M-I-C-K-E-Y)!
Ian - you're not too far from us. We are in Burlington. Are you enjoying this beautiful weekend? Oh well...good excuse to watch many hours of Olympics!

The rain we're having this summer in Ontario is crazy. Haven't had to water grass yet this year and it's green as a golf course. Still waiting for the dog days of summer to arrive. It was actually cold at night this weekend. Oh well i'll take this weather here and now if it means good weather for our trip!! Noticed you mentioned your son turns 18 on the cruise. My soon to be step son turns 19 just before we leave. He was kind of sour at first about turning legal age to drink and having to leave 2 days for somewhere that you have to be 21 but i'm sure he'll mak eup for lost time when we get back

Hope everyone has a good week!

We're going to the food and Wine after the cruise. Steve has been wanting to do this for a while now.

We were going to do MNSSHP but have decide to wait until next year when we go back for two weeks to the world with our friends.

I'm looking forward to that trip too. Before spending the two weeks at WDW, we're all flying to St Thomas for a week!

Anyone know anything about Bolongo Bay condos?

That sounds Heavenly, Denise! I keep thinking we may do an all-inclusive somewhere in the next few years. I REALLY want to do an Adventures by Disney... the fairytale one to Germany... but it would be $10K before any OOP money. :scared1: So we'll skip that one until we win the lottery!

Bumping from page two. Hope everyone had a good Monday (or as good as a Monday can be). But, we are one day closer!!!

As you know, my uncle has been in the hospital since his accident over 3 weeks ago. Today, he passed away, due to an infection in his blood that has developed recently. :sad1: Please remember my aunt and 2 cousins (age 17 & 16) in your prayers. They are really having a difficult time now. We will be going to TN for the funeral, which is probably Thursday afternoon. Thank you all for your words of support and prayers the past few weeks. It has meant so much to me. I told my aunt about the prayers going up all over the world for Uncle Robert. She was so appreciative of this.

Gena...I am new to this group, but I spent many hours this past weekend reading the posts from the beginning. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope it is some comfort to both yourself and your family knowing that prayers are being sent from Canada.

Wendy

Gena-
so sorry to hear about your uncle. Just remember we are all still praying for your family. If you need anything while in Nashville, just let me know. I can be in downtown in 20 minutes.

Wendy

Wendy, thank you so much, and welcome. I'm sorry I am late welcoming you. This weekend was nonstop. I am trying to get back in the swing of things.

Kim, the funeral will be in Murfreesboro. Thank you so much for your offer. I truly appreciate it.

Gena - absolutely no apology necessary for the late welcome...late welcome for a late comer! You have really had your hands full! Many blessings.

Gena, of course you can have continued prayers for his family. Please remember that that includes you. Please take care in your travels and let the family know that they are remembered daily.

Gena,

I'm so sorry to hear the bad news. I had hoped that no news meant good news.

You're all in our prayers.

Gena, that is terrible news. I knew it would be a long road for him, but I thought he was getting better. I know it is hard on everyone to have gone through this for so long and have hope, and have it end this way. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Oh Gena, my heart goes out to you and your family. I am so sorry.

Wendy, I do want to welcome you and your family on board.

I need to go, first day of school for the kids. Was only going to read this morning and not post, but when I read about your uncle, I had to let you know how sorry I am.

Lori P. :)

Gena, :grouphug: So sorry to hear about your uncle. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Wendy - I'm impressed! You've read all our posts in a weekend! We are so glad you have joined in our discussions. Did you make Palo ressies to celebrate your birthday and Jordan's? Minimum age for Palo is 18.

Jan

Decided it was time to come out of the shadows. My family has been reading this thread for weeks. This will be our first cruise and we have greatly appreciated reading all of your useful information and tips. We aren't much for posting so not sure how often we may chime in, but wanted to say thanks for the tips and look forward to a fun time on the Magic. There are three of us including a 9 yo son that is excited beyond belief.

:welcome: TNJohnparents! Glad that you have decided to join in on the fun and leave behind the land of Lurkdom. We all post when we can and spend a lot of time talking about non-cruise stuff but what a great way to meet others that are on the same cruise.

Friendships built here can last beyond your cruise. Right Jan?? Jan and her DH Dave and my DH sailed together several years ago and have become friends. I can't wait to sail with them again!
