10/4/08-Buccaneers Take the West! Cruiser List in Post #1

I am finally better! I actually got hungry this morning during church. Today was a great day. Both of my parents were able to attend services this morning, and we were all able to go out to lunch together. After having both sick the past couple of weeks, it was nice to have things back to a semi-normal state. :) Yesterday was our winter wonderland festival at school. It was a long day, but the kids had fun and the PTO raised a good bit of money for the school. I received an extra $100 in my room account because they used my room for one of the games and my parents worked in there.

Hope everyone has a great Monday. We are erupting our volcanoes that the students made. They are so excited.

Gena

Oh, just wondering-does anyone have the official count of how many days until we cruise? I was just curious.

221 Days 8 Hrs 12 Mins 59 Secs

This is the current cout at 8:47PM with a vacation start time of 6 AM on 10/4/08. Hope this helps. Lois

CRUISE FEVER!!! I can't wait. I'm not the only one in my group, Geneva was out shopping for new bathing suits yesterday.

I've been working on excursion plans today, thought I would share.
BTW we welcome other families to tag alongs. The more the merrier.:thumbsup2

We love Mr. Sanchos at Cozumel:
www.mrsanchos.com

Great beach, lots of activities, good food, ice cold beer and funny tropical drinks. I forgot a you can get a beach massage for $20. and they have a shopping spot right there too.
We've found it easy to get to, just a cab ride away.

Another site I found just packed full of great info is:
www.cozumelinsider.com

Looking into Key West also but, will have to get back to you on that.
Suggested are welcomed.

Janet and I are planning to do the Four Elements Excursion in Cozumel and go to the beach in Grand Caymen. We want to just walk Key West and spend the day at Serenity Beach on Castaway. But I haven't done any planning Ha Ha.

We were back on page two. Hope this bumbs us up again. Hope everyone is having a pleasant and productive week. Lois

LOL, sounds like all the planning is done Lois.

I looked into renting a Jeep while at Grand Cayman www.andys.ky/
Bill, Ashley and myself love it there. Geneva is undecided on the beach.

We were very close to page three.

Almost a page two rescue, we were the last on page one so just a friendly bump.

Excursions - I would love to beach in Cozumel. I have a link (at home) that is interactive for the various beaches in Cozumel, I will try to get it posted again.

I had been thinking before that Jan has taken care of our list issue but we also need a centralized location for activities and info that people post. I may take my post from page one and work on that - I can either link to peoples posts or just post the info. Sound like a good idea??

Have a great day everyone.

Happt Thursday everyone!

I read on a trip report this week that on their sailing they did a door magnet exchange... it sounded fun! Just thought I would throw that out there!

That does sound like fun. They wouldn't need to be big. Maybe I will do something for Fish extenders. Lois

So sleepy, but wanted to bump and say HI! Having the activities in one place would help a lot!

Talk to you guys later!
Lori P. :)

I'm getting e-mail notices again. I like them when they come on a regular basis. Lately it has been catch them as you can. I get lots of them, all at once and some are days old; then I don't get them at all for days and weeks at a time. Anyone else having this problem?

Hope every one has a good Friday. Lois

Hi! I have been lurking around the boards for awhile now, but I am coming out of lurk-mode to say that my DH and I have booked our stateroom on the Oct. 4 '08 Western! This is our very first cruise and we are beyond excited!

I hope I get a chance to get to know you all before we set sail! :goodvibes

Welcome Lauren :goodvibes .

Lois, I have the same problem. The last couple of weeks I've been getting the emails and now they've stopped again :confused3 .

It's raining here. Haven't seen rain for quite a while. Hopefully it will be enough to make the farmers happy and we will get to resume our summer soon.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Tania

:welcome: Lauren - glad to see you are joining us. We are all going to have a fantastic time.

Yes. Hopefully they will get the issue resolved quickly. I almost turned my notifications off when they upgraded the boards last time due to the same issue.

Busy weekend in the Lindamood house. Kristie arrived last night so she will be here for the weekend. Drew plays indoor soccer tonight and since I have not gone to any all year (BAD MOMMY) I think I will try this evening. He plays at 9:00 so maybe I can squeeze in a quick trip to the mall first.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Welcome to our group. I look forward to getting to know you as well. Lois

Welcome, Mrs. Gumdrop!

Happy Saturday, Everone! It is suppose to be in the 60's here today :yay: . I will be outside trying to do some yard work. Hope everyone has a great day!

Gena

Here in Kansas city we are expected to reach the 50, about 20 degrees over normal. I sure hope the summer isn't 20 degrees over normal. Could make for a very hot, slow moving summer. However I am not at all sorry to say farewell to winter and expect Spring and summer to pass far to fast. Lois

Happy Saturday! A balmy 21 degrees here in Cadillac, MI. Drew is out plowing yet another 5 inches of that fluffy white stuff out of the driveway. No yard work here :rotfl: but I envy those that can see theirs let alone have it be warm enough to go out and work in it.

So, those of you that can get out - don't be weekend warriors and try to do too much. Enjoy the day!

Mrs. Gumdrop, :cheer2: A BIG MARYLAND WELCOME TO YOU!:cheer2:

An activities list sounds great, let me know if I can help.

I'm in on the door magnet exchange.
