What were the pros and cons this year and do you think they will offer the party on both nights in 2003?

How crowded were the other parks during halloween and over this past weekend? (10/31 through 11/3)

The crowds were small all week up until Saturday. Then everything was packed. Someone told me it was "Jersey Week", so I'm assuming that is what caused the rush.

We really enjoyed MNSSHP on the 31st. It was a little too crowded though... I think they sold too many tickets. If we go again we'll do it earlier in Oct. before it gets sold out.

I don't know about 11/1 or next years party dates. We went on 10/31 and although there were lots of people there, we found everything to be very doable. It seemed the line were longest for the candy but they moved fast. My DGD isn't much of a candy eater so if she felt a line was too long she just skipped it. We rode lots of rides, saw the Headless Horseman, enjoyed two "storytellings" watched the Hoola Hoop contest, caught the show at the castle, saw the witch fly, saw the fireworks....we never saw any bootoyou parades...wrong place at the wrong time I guess. We also didn't stand in line to visit any characters. I wouldn't hesitate to go on Halloween again. From what I gather from posts about the earlier parties, I think they were all pretty crowded.

We went the night of the 25th & loved it! It was not too crowded (compared to the MVMCP we attended the first week of December, last year)! The lines for most everything weren't very long. Rides were walk ons!
I don't believe it was sold out the 25th or the 27th (we saw signs at the front still selling tickets). But when we went in the morning of the 31st it said sold out!

Thanks everyone for your help.

Did anyone attend on 11/1/02?

Also - I am a bit worried about "Jersey week". Ironic since I am from NJ. But I am planning a trip next year from 10/30 to 11/3 (Thurs to Mon) and am now wondering if this will be a good idea. It is a really special trip for me that halloween (big celebration w/ friends and family) at the Boardwalk and we want to relax and enjoy the festivities.

The events we would most like to attend are: MNSSHP / Universal HHN / Epcot F&W / possibly the Studios to ride RNR and TOT.

Any ideas on whether this is a reasonable itinerary and how to plan it around the thurs to mon schedule?

Also, how was the boardwalk on Halloween?
