I know the feeling. I work for a French company and over half the company is out. It's so quiet at work the day just drags.

The sad part is it's the slowest part of the year at work. I teach theater and direct so right now all I'm doing is directing on show!!! LOL!!!

Still wondering if I can get away for a weekend before the cruise!

Just a bump up to remind everyone to send me their FE emails. See the previous post for the information required.

Also, for your FE don't forget to bring a zip tie. You can get them at any hardware store. At least that's where we got ours. Bring a small pair of scissors in your toiletry bag to snip it off at the end of the cruise.
For the new folks, the zip tie is used to secure your FE to your fish. Make it tight so that no one can walk by and help themselves to your FE. Just make sure you leave enough room to get your scissors in there to snip it off at the end.

Hi from a very wet windy and cold UK its freezing here!! i don't know what has happened to our summer sunshine!
I'm busy buying things to make our FE with and things for others FE's

I know it is a great day here in NYC!!! Of course I work in an office with no windows--but hey no kids till the 20th of September when we start classes again!!!

Still have to finish my FE it's 99% done. Still have to rent Limo for trip, Car for return.

will I have time not sure--maybe I should do all those things instead of reading the boards!!!

Another beautiful day in NYC. I've got half a day today and then I'm heading for the USS Intrepid to watch my DD's dance troop do a salute to the troops! Can't wait. It should be great.

Why am I doing spring cleaning in August? Oh yeah I'm looking for my stuff to start packing for my cruise!!! I know it's a little early but I work every week-end from labor day on till the cruise. So I'll need that vacation!!

i've started buying FE gifts but ive only brought a few and i think i might get the rest when we arrive in usa(we live in the uk) due to the weight of the stuff my two boys are really looking forward to the cruise im hoping my almost 8 year old will be able to pick up a pen pal or two on board i thnk it would be great practice for his writing/social skills

I forgot to mention that i have ordered plain cotton shirts for putting a transfer onto(people have personalised some great pictures for me) and some cotton tote bags for mnsshp plus fabric pens for maybe character autographs on their shirts?(not sure about that one yet) i just need to get magnetic strips for our door then i think im all set

See now I want to make more shirts. We did Mickey tye dye this summer for the cruise but they don't look very Halloween. I spent the morning designing shirts.

I am going to be in for a vacation let down when this is over.

You crack me up. And the best way to prevent let down is to rebook before you get off the boat. They give you a discount and a bigger on board credit.of

Hi Everybody!!!! Looks like "Business has picked up" since the last time I was on! After much waffling and insane amounts of money spent on Butter Beer this summer; I've officially booked and paid for the cruise, so consider us officially signed up! My triple A rep says that we will apparently have a pretty full boat, as several catagories were close to selling out. for my part I still did the inside stateroom (11) and could only book a guarantee. hmm, maybe we will get lucky and bumped up (not!). I tried to read thru all the posts i missed (for some reason i must not be "subscribed" i guess) So here goes:
Pretty sure we'd like to get in on the FE exchange. I need to re-read exactly what it entails, but sounds like fun! Second, our Info:
Myself (DD) now an amazing 41 (errrrr)
DS 13 (and celebrating his 14th birthday early on this cruise)
We are from South Carolina (Currently live in Golf Town GA. Augusta)
We will Definately be dressing for Halloween! I have a cast member friend who has access to old WDW Costumes so who knows what we will finally decide on, but I can tell you it will probably be "Nightmare before Xmas" related. Now that DS is officially 6'1";; he may get my Jack costume by default. dunno yet.
Depending on space, we may also really go after the Pirate Costumes also. Depends on what my friend can get. Otherwise, it may just be Pirates shirts etc.
As far as excursions go, we will be doing the Atlantis Auquaventure. Word is it is like no other water park and it will make a good substitute for not having the AuquaDuck on the boat. Castaway Cay we want to do it all, but there is so little time. gotta snorkel and get close to the Flying dutchman for sure. I just looked at Palo availability and the Brunch/ Tea is not available right now; as I'm doing this solo had hoped I could do one of those as an alternative to dinner there just to see it; but alas....

oh, well that is all for now. I'll be back on regularly so look forward to chatting with you all!
