Poison ivy and Jadedjojo luv the pics. We were on the Magic before it was reimagined. Can't wait to be there again.
PI - the "boy" looks like he had a great time on the AquaDunk��. Not sure Don will go that high. He isn't fond of heights.

We are in an cat 11 sideways stateroom. Dd had one last cruise and loved it. So we have 3 booked for the family. This will be the first in quite a while without a balcony so we shall see how it goes.

Also. Welcome to any new cruisers I may have missed

Henlady - you are going to love the refurbished Magic. Don't worry about the inside cabin. We were very comfortable there although Poison kept running up on deck every morning to see where we were.


This video will give you a good idea of what it's like to ride the Aquadunk. I didn't make this video, but I might just pick up a pair of those lobster trunks.

Schwarma station? where the heck was that?
I didn't have the courage to do the AquaDunk. Probably won't this trip either. something about that floor dropping out from under my feet. Of course, if they gave out prizes, maybe I'd reconsider.
Does you daughter have any pics of that sideways cabin? would love to compare it to the 11A we stayed in.

our group may be growing. I had a BW studio booked for the land portion 10/24-10/27 and waitlisted a 2nd for my parents. Well that came thru last week. Now I've waitlisted a 2 bdrm to cancel out the studios and give us more space. Hopefully it will come thru as well. We're not sure if they're cruising yet so no changes to the roll call. There is still plenty of time to decide.

jadedjojo - really great pics. I loved them all but especially the interior shot of Lumiere's. Your camera and talent put ours to shame. We have an old Canon Powershot. It's your basic point and shoot and hates artificial light. Everytime we're in a restaurant or interior setting with no natural light source, the pictures tend to come out grainy or blurred. Can't wait to invest in an upgrade. What were you using?

JoyB-UK great photo with Captain America. I don't know which cruise you were on for that, but we accidently ran into him posing for photos outside the Walt Disney Theatre during our Dec '13 sail on the Magic and had to get in line. (they were showing Captain America 2 at that time) Here's our "action shot". He was a great character to interact with. I wonder if he's still appearing?

warning: this is not my best pic. I didn't apply myself enough on the action and I think Captain America's stance was too grandeur to compete with.
But how great are the Captain and JQ!

The Captain America photo was from this past summer. I think that he is a regular character now because of the marvel academy. I would be surprised if there wasn't a meet with him on our cruise. Apart from a formal night photo with Mickey and Minnie dressed up, Captain America is the only character I have had a photo with. Unfortunately I looked rubbish so I didn't keep it but I love the marvel films.

Poison ivy, all of the ship pics in that album were taken with a Nikon D5100. It does great in low light! I appreciate your compliments. You are very kind! I absolutely love taking photos!

As for the Aquadunk- I am usually not afraid of much when it comes to rides, and I wasn't afraid when I got into the capsule for the Aquadunk, but when the floor dropped out... I said a few bad words. I am glad no little ears were nearby!! It is worth going on atleast once, so you can say you've done it .

Quick question about the schwarma - is it only beef or lamb, or do they have chicken also? the chicken schwarma at epcot is one of my favorite meals there.

i loved the aqua duck, but you could not pay me enough money to go on the aqua dunk. i am a true ride chicken!

Ooooh, thanks for the thread. The funny thing is, i had read that thread before, and totally missed the fact that it mentioned chicken. Even just some of the toppings on pita bread sound good. Sometimes i find it hard to find snacks i like on the disney ships, so i'm excited about this!

oh and back to the Avengers - they're releasing their sequel in May. So maybe we'll see more than Captain America on board. But even if it's just him, I plan a "do-over" shot.

Jadedjojo - thanks for the link to the shwarama pictures. You will find me there often during the cruise.

Poison Ivy: The sideways cat 11 is very similar to the Cat 11A you had. Only difference is in a regular cat 11 you enter at the end of the room and down the little hallway past the bathroom and closets, then thru the area with the sofa, etc, then the bed is at the other end. In a sideways cat11, you enter into the middle of the room directly across from the sofa. The bath and closets are to your left and the bed is to your right. The room is not bigger, but it feels that way because of the way it is laid out. The rooms actually take up 2 room widths on the hallway - thus the sideways designation.

I hope you parents do decide to come along. I would love to see them. It would be a joy to spend some time with them again. Tell them we say "HI".

FE UPDATE

Hi guys, I am not going to be around for the next few weeks as I get ready for and go on my next trip. I don't know how much time or Internet access I will have. Therefore, if anybody new joins and wants to sign up to the FE I will add you as soon as possible but it might not be straight away. I won't forget about anybody it just might take a while to update. Due to the new rules on here the FE has to be run entirely on disboards and not linked elsewhere, also people should only share as much personal information as they are comfortable with. So I propose to keep a simple, no fuss list that I will keep updated within this post.

If you are interested in joining the FE we just need to know how many people (adults/children) are in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving.

Any other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favourite characters etc is upto you.

Cabin numbers can be added nearer to the sailing date.

FE gifts are entirely up to the givers discretion with regards to value, whether they are individual or cabin gifts, or if you give one gift per cruise or per day.

Closing date for sign up is October 1st 2015.
