Welcome, Laura!
Joy, I want to chime in and thank you for coordinating the FE. This is our first ever cruise and quite possibly a one time thing for us (due to kids ages, the long and expensive flight, school and $$, etc) and so I really want to experience the FE.
It would be lovely to have the option to do a smaller group (i.e. less than 30?). We are flying in from far away and this cruise is a portion of a 2 week journey for our family of five. So we are going to have a LOT of luggage and paraphernalia and logistics to manage as it is.
I just booked a rental car via Costco Travel for the week beforehand. Picking up at MCO and dropping off at MIA the morning of the cruise. A standard sized car for $330. This is about $130 more than I want to pay and so it will be a fun challenge to try and get it down in the coming months. We've never been to Florida before so it's possible that this is the going rate. But it IS the off season so ....
Also, we have a late flight out of FLL the day of disembarkation and I am trying to figure out the best Day Rate hotel option. It takes a lot of effort to prepare for a 7 hour flight with 3 kids and I don't want to waste precious time on the cruise prepping for it. I need a hotel room to get everything organized, etc.
On the ship, we have two staterooms booked across the hall from each other. I am trying to figure out if the inside stateroom has a pull down berth - it's category 11A. Does anyone know how to find this out? I have already checked the Deck plans on Cruise Critic. I can ask my TA a little later after I finish up the batch up questions I have for her.
Edited: just read the latest and yes, lots of princesses - we have three and it is fun!
