Hi, welcome to our group. I have added you to the FE list. Seems like we have lots of little girls in our fe group, they are the best and easiest to get gifts for.

Welcome, Laura!

Joy, I want to chime in and thank you for coordinating the FE. This is our first ever cruise and quite possibly a one time thing for us (due to kids ages, the long and expensive flight, school and $$, etc) and so I really want to experience the FE.

It would be lovely to have the option to do a smaller group (i.e. less than 30?). We are flying in from far away and this cruise is a portion of a 2 week journey for our family of five. So we are going to have a LOT of luggage and paraphernalia and logistics to manage as it is.

I just booked a rental car via Costco Travel for the week beforehand. Picking up at MCO and dropping off at MIA the morning of the cruise. A standard sized car for $330. This is about $130 more than I want to pay and so it will be a fun challenge to try and get it down in the coming months. We've never been to Florida before so it's possible that this is the going rate. But it IS the off season so ....

Also, we have a late flight out of FLL the day of disembarkation and I am trying to figure out the best Day Rate hotel option. It takes a lot of effort to prepare for a 7 hour flight with 3 kids and I don't want to waste precious time on the cruise prepping for it. I need a hotel room to get everything organized, etc.

On the ship, we have two staterooms booked across the hall from each other. I am trying to figure out if the inside stateroom has a pull down berth - it's category 11A. Does anyone know how to find this out? I have already checked the Deck plans on Cruise Critic. I can ask my TA a little later after I finish up the batch up questions I have for her. ;)

Edited: just read the latest and yes, lots of princesses - we have three and it is fun!princess:princess:princess:

We will definitely have less than 30 cabins in a group. A few people have expressed a wish for small groups, so nearer sailing when we have a better idea of total numbers we can divide up but with the option of joining both groups for those that like large groups.

I don't know which 11As sleep 3 or 4. Only those which sleep 4 have a pull down bed. I looked on the deck plans but couldn't see any clues as to which those are. On our first cruise we stayed in 7629 which is an 11A and that did not have one.

I spoke with DCL yesterday.

Was checking to see if there were any 1BR suites with adjoining cat 4 cabins available. They have the 1BR suites but no adjoining cabins...wish they would hold them for a while before booking them individually...oh well.

I also asked about Castaway port times and she said the second day at Castaway Cay will have the same schedule as the first.

8080 used to connect to balcony cabin and is showing available. I wonder if the changed post-reimagining?

Yes, I was told there were 1BR suites available. The problem is... all the adjoining cabins are booked.

Well that is no good. I noticed while I checking concierge has really filled up past couple of weeks. Guess true of the rest of categories as well.

that's too bad. we were thinking of maybe upgrading at port. if not, we're happy with our huge balcony. ;) both times we were on the dream were concierge, though, so we kind of got spoiled.

Joining the FE group has got me in the mood for sewing so I dusted off my sewing machine and got busy this weekend. I think my FE group will be pleased with the first of their gift. I probably spent 2+ hours at the fabric store in the Disney aisle. Soooo many cute Disney prints.

FYI - I've added a roll call to the front page with a link to JoyB-UK's FE signups.

Thank you for this and the itinerary update. It would be lovely to have a second full day at CC!

That is so sweet and thoughtful of you to make homemade FE gifts! :lovestruc

We are waiting until around April to surprise our kids and tell them about this cruise. I cannot wait to plan our FE gifts with their help!!!

I just went to the website and looked up this cruise. The prices for our categories have crept up since I booked about 2 weeks ago. I know that's the norm, but FYI.

Is it sad that I am excited about becoming a dis veteran? Took me over 4 years but I finally got my 500 posts up. It's the simple things in life that please me sometimes.:banana::banana:

congratulations Joy.
I remember when JQ hit 500 posts and was just as excited.

I have a lot of fun pics of the reimagineered Magic from Dec 2013 including my husband on the AquaDunk; an inside cabin 11A and food porn. I'd be happy to post pics if anybody new is curious to see the ship or anybody else wants to check them out.

let me know
