10/28/15 - 4nt. Halloween Magic Double Dip from Miami

Add us to the list!

Hubby really wanted to try one of the new ships but we just can't justify the cost. :banana:Just watched videos of the Magic reimagined and I am so excited!:cool1:

This will be our 3rd Disney cruise and our second time on the Magic.

Please add us to the FE group:hyper:
We have two staterooms reserved and our group includes Me- Holly (mom), Greg (dad), Logan (m19), Ethan (m17), Jaiden (f17) & Marin (f9)

Joy- in your previous post you mentioned splitting the group, if it gets too big. Are you saying the group will max out at 25 or you will split it when it reaches 25? (making two groups of 12 & 13) Just planning ahead, a bit. Thanks for organizing it! We had a blast last time planning and delivering gifts.

Hi Holly, welcome to the group and thanks for joining the FE.

With regards to splitting the FE I would suggest that when/if we hit the 25 ish mark then we split into two groups so they would have 12/13 cabins plus any new joiners after the split. We can make a group decision if it comes to that we have so many cabins, personally I don't think we will reach that number. Also if people prefer large groups then they would be welcome to join both lists.

Perfect! Thank you. I have never cruised out of Miami... I am very overwhelmed with figuring out the details. (where to stay the night before, car rental, etc.) Hopefully following this thread will help. :)

I'm struggling to make a decision about hotels and cars in Miami. We are flying both ways through Orlando so we are definitely renting a car each way. I am almost certain that we will use Alamo and drop off at the airport and shuttle over. I have booked the Yacht club pre cruise for the food and wine festival and we will drive down Wednesday morning, that much is done and decided. But returning to Orlando is proving more difficult to decide. I want to see a Dolphins game if they are at home and so I am thinking about booking a hotel nearer to Sunny Isles or Adventura. But if there isn't a game on then we may stay at South Beach or Miami beach at which point I don't want to get a car straight away as parking is limited and expensive. We have been to Miami before so not really interested in seeing the sights so could head straight back to Disney.:confused3. All my planning depends on a football game but I don't want to wait until the schedule is released. First world problems.
Flying from Orlando on Nov 7th so really hoping the first MVMCP is on Friday 6th.

I just made the first sketch of my Halloween Costume. Now to find material.

First time Disney Cruiser here! I have some questions and I am sure I will have ore, so THANKS in advance for any help!!!
Here the port times are listed for 8:45-4:45 for the second day at Castaway Cay but Disney's official site has it listed for 12pm-5:45. Which is correct?
Also, where can I find info about what night the pirate night is?
I also watched a youtube video about the Avengers part if the kids club and they mentioned certain things only being done on "at sea" days. Does anyone know how they handle the Avenger activities when there is not actual day at sea?
Thanks!
Teri G

Hi Teri and welcome to our cruise meet!!:cheer2::cheer2:

I believe Johnny Quest was waiting on confirmation for our 2nd docking time at CC.
Since this cruise was originally a Bahamian 4nt Itinerary A , it looked like the website simply replaced the words: Key West, FL with Castaway Cay but left the original docking times for Key West.

Take a look. This was our original itinerary. We became a Double Dip a few months ago.

4-Night Bahamian Cruise on Disney Magic - Itinerary A

October 28 to November 1
Disney Magic

1 Miami, Florida — 4:00 p.m.
2 Castaway Cay 8:30 a.m. 4:45 p.m.
3 Nassau 07:00 a.m. 03:45 p.m.
4 Key West, Florida 12:00 p.m. 5:45 p.m.
5 Miami, Florida 7:30 a.m. —

Guest ashore times and onboard times are subject to change without notice.

We're waiting on confirmation that Disney is actually docking this late at CC. In the meantime the time on our cruise meet reflects the norm for similar cruises.

I reserved my rental cars but REALLY hope I can do better. $511 for 6 days, picking up at Orlando Intl. and dropping off at the Port of Miami the morning of the cruise. On the way back (Miami to Fort Lauderdale airport) 5 hours for $172. Since we are a party of 6 we need a minivan which seem to come at a premium.

I've always wanted to try MVMCP. We've done MNSSHP serval times and really enjoyed it.

Wow, you are getting organised really quickly. I don't think that we will be dressing up either for pirate night or Halloween but my daughter is going to dress up. We are planning on really relaxed cruise this time in between the madness of WDW at either end. This to us means opting out of a lot of organised activities and even avoiding the main dining rooms. You will find us by the pool with a cocktail in hand both day and night or possibly the cinema in bad weather.

Sounds like a high price. As we live in the uk we have to book through the UK branches of the rental firms we are subject to different pricing but ours seems to be more fully inclusive extras like the various insurance and liability waivers are included.

We really loved sailing out of Miami! We sailed out of Miami on the Wonder in 2013, and it was really exciting- a fun change from PC (but PC is always home of course. :)) We sailed out of Seattle on the Wonder for Alaska in 2012, and we didn't like the Port of Seattle at all, so Miami was a nice surprise.

The last time we were in Miami, a friend that lives there kept our car and dropped us off at the port. This time we don't want to bother him, so we are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn the night before, and we are doing the cruise package with shuttle. We've been to Miami before, but there is a state park we've missed (Bill Baggs State Park, as featured in Miami Vice! lol), so I want to go check that out the day before... unless I get REALLY ambitious and can talk hubby into going to Tower of Pizza in Key Largo instead ;).

Finally decided to jump in on the FE list. :cheer2: I would prefer to be in a smaller group (around 10 or 12) if possible. It will be me and DH and grandson (8) in stateroom 6019.

Haha, we (adults) won't be dressing up either (maybe a pirate t-shirt) . But I have purchased costumes for our kiddies, got them for $5/each since it was after Halloween. They're really excited about cruising during Halloween. :goodvibes

Hi, I have added you to the fe list. We can do smaller groups, that is fine, anybody wanting a larger group like myself can join both groups. I don't want to add a cut off just yet though, I would rather see how many we get then divide up later on. I don't want to say that we get to 10 then that is it anyone joining after starts the next group because we might only get a couple more join and that would be an extra small group.

When we get nearer the sail date, in say August, I will request that everyone PMs me with their room numbers, special requests and to confirm they are still interested. I can then send a private message out with a more detailed list to everyone so that our personal info isn't all on display here.

Thanks Joy for adding us to the FE list. I totally agree it is too soon to do any cut off.
Thank you for taking care of the FE list. It is greatly appreciated:goodvibes. You're a good woman!
