10/28/15 - 4nt. Halloween Magic Double Dip from Miami

that sounds so awesome, I will check with hubby but i think he saw a carnival 8 night European on carnival for 2016 that he wants to go on.

We have booked the 8 night European Carnival also, ours is August 26th. Never cruised with them before and read lots of so so reviews but I figured how bad can a brand new ship be and the cost is about half what we pay with Disney. Really looking forward to next summer.

I am a very frequent Carnival Traveler(thanks to my folks dragging me there when i was a kid) in gold status since they changed the point system :( and I love them. This will be my first Disney Cruise and I cannot wait!

Hello fellow cruisers! We just booked this sailing and are very excited for Halloween and the double dip! We have cruised the Fantasy, Dream and Wonder (just sailed the Wonder in Feb) and now the Magic is last to fulfill our bucket list of all 4 ships!! Please add us to the FE group! FE's are the best!

Me: Heather (mom)
Linda (grandma - aka G-ma)
Landon (boy- 6)

The FE that we are doing here is to completely different/separate to any that you may find elsewhere. Disboards does not allow external links and any mention of them will probably be removed by webmasters.

Welcome to the new people joining our group. Our FE information is on page 3 I believe, it looks like we will split into two smaller groups as our list is gradually growing.

I have decided to not do the Norway cruise next year. I found myself feeling a bit indifferent to the ports and for the money it costs I could go somewhere exciting. Not sure what we will do I place of it just yet. But in the meantime I have just booked a 3 night cruise which sails in 12 weeks. Going to try another new (to us) cruise line in P and O. The price was right so even if it's not stunning I still get to see Guernsey and Bruges with no flying involved. We have a very busy couple of months coming up with exams and sports so it will be a welcome break.

We're not planning a 2016 cruise. Hoping to visit Aulani instead.
And I agree. FLL for us is much cheaper than MIA. We're driving in so only need one-way transfers to FLL from the Port.
anyone interested in joining in on a possible group deal from SAS to the FLL airport on disembarkation day?
They're already reasonable, but I'll have JQ check into it.

P.S. I'm posting some more pics of the Magic so stay tuned!!

RE: referencing other sites, I highly recommend editing any and all posts. There is a policy here on the DIS which is pretty strictly enforced:

I did photograph a bit of the aft stateroom balconies if anyone is interested.

@poison ivy I'm not sure if you would have noticed, but I'm curious if they improved the thresholds on the doors leading out to the decks. I had a really terrible time on the Wonder this past year. I use a scooter and couldn't go anywhere on my own as it would bottom out trying to get over the bump. I also couldn't manage any of the doors as none of them were automatic. The ones that were, had a double set of doors and only one set would have buttons.

sounds like a major problem on the Wonder. I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm not sure what the Magic had but I'll look thru all our pics and post as much detail as I have of the doorways; etc. Hopefully this will help answer some questions.

More pics!

Ramp to the ship upon entry on Deck 4.

this is the zigzag connector to the ship.

Doors upon embarkation on Promenade Deck 4: can't really see the thresholds here but the doors appear to be flush to the ground.

More of the doors to the Promenade Deck 4 (sorry for the blur) I don't know how they compare to the Wonder and I also can't see if/where they automatically open

Deck 10 - Midship Elevators
Corner of bottom of door to outside from Vibe and DVC office.

Not sure if these are new additions to the Magic but there are shaded covered partitions on Deck 10 with plexiglass sides (look 1 level above JQ in this shot)

Deck 10 - forward elevators are on the right. Not sure which door provides access. The one visible in the photo or the opening closer to the sports deck area.

More of the covered partitions.

Gangway from Deck 1 for Castaway Cay

Don't you just love a Disney Cruise!!

What's everyone thinking for scheduling their Palo dinners? Without a sea day, it's kind of tricky! Does anyone know what the schedule will be for dining ie: Pirate Night, semi-formal night, etc?

If you check page 1 - you'll see pirate night is Day 3. That's when we typically book specialty dining.

Does anyone know if Palo brunch is not offered on the non-sea day cruises?

Thanks, I haven't had any luck getting info from anyone. I guess untill you're in that situation you wouldn't notice. I keep trying to find someone on here. I may have to start a post directed at "Disabled cruisers on the Magic." Guess we'll have to wait and see. lol But at least I'll be somewhat prepared...and hopefully pleasently surprised :)

We did a 4-night CC double-dip on the dream last fall, so no sea days, and palo brunch was offered on the second CC day.

Also, for those of you going to WDW before or after, just a heads up that halloween party tickets went on sale today.

I heard that some cruises have a brunch on the Nassau day so we might be lucky.

FE NEWS

I'm going to start and get a bit more organised with the FE stuff and figure it might take ages for everyone to get back to me. So, I need to know who wants to do a small group. (10 ish cabins) and who would like a larger group and be on 2 groups? (or more if we get a later rush). Once I get the information back I can split the list and everyone can start getting their things organised.

1. Everyone on the FE please reconfirm your interest

2. Let me know if you want to join one list of approx 10 cabins or be on both lists and do everyone.

Thank you in advance.

We definitely want to do FE gifts! In fact I just finalized what our gifts are going to be this weekend and am so excited. That said, I would really, really prefer to be in a small group. I want the experience of FE, and I enjoy connecting with other cruisers. However, the practicalities and total cost involved have sunk in a little and being in a smaller group would make positive difference for our family. :flower3:

Definitely still interested. Robin (F) and Kevin (M), both in our early 40s.

We'd like to join both lists. We did a very large FE the first time and a very small FE the second time and kind of felt like we were missing out doing the smaller one....
