10/26/2013 - A Western Fantasy Halloween Cruise

We are going on this cruise. It will be a first for all five of us. We will be going with the extended family to include parents, aunts, uncles, cousins. We're all pretty excited. A friend told me a bit about FE and we are interested. Can we get more details?

Hi Tammy and :welcome:

Tip of the day:

If you are taking your kids to the club by way of the aft stairs/elevators (on deck 5), you need to walk on the side that has the "fish" (not "seahorses").

This will be the 5th time we have stayed in room 5652 (twice on the Dream and now a third time on the Fantasy) and we spend a good bit of the week helping confused parents! The hall stops on the starfish side because the clubs take the whole width of the ship!

:thumbsup2 For those who were waiting, Southwest has opened their flight schedule through the holidays.

Yes - and although it doesn't look it - you can walk 5 from forward to aft on the port side (if you try the starboard side, you'll end up in our cabin!). There is a hallway that walks around / by the movie theatre so you can take any elevator or stairs to 5 and still get to the kids clubs.

Hey everyone, I've not been on here in quite some time...I must admit I mostly hang out on our fb page. So welcome to all the new people here! I'm Char and my dh is Nate and we are travelling with 4 of our kids. dd 22, ds 16, ds 9 and ds 7. My parents are joining us as well. Our oldest ds and his gf were originally booked to come with us but are backing out because they are getting married next year and have too much to do and save for.:sad1:
Anyway I have posted on the fb page about doing a cabin crawl so I wanted to post here for those that are not on fb and want to participate. Basically we ask for 7 people to volunteer to "host". The cost is $5.00 each to play. A host cabin will have to provide a deck of cards which are laid out either on the bed or desk for each player to take. Players go from cabin to cabin getting a new card at each one. The last 2 cabins are optional discard cabins. We then meet at a predetermined place and the player with the best poker hand wins the pot. There will be a ledger and the host cabin will be responsible for writing down what card each person gets. Also host cabins can provide a drink or a treat or nothing... it's up to the host cabin. Ideally it's nice to have host cabins on different levels and Categories. It's kinda cool to see the different rooms. Let me know if you want to play or host... I think we have 3 people willing to host so far.:thumbsup2

This sounds interesting - what kind of a time frame is there (example: Tuesday between 10 & 11 am?) :surfweb:

I was thinking about doing it on a sea day in the afternoon so maybe Sunday OR we could do it Halloween kinda like trick or treating and we could dress up!:thumbsup2 We'd work around the Parade of course and their trick or treating.

Hopefully, someone will correct me if I'm wrong. . . [and not that it would effect the event if scheduled in the afternoon], but I believe the Captains Party for Gold & Platnum Castaway Club Members is held around 11am on Sunday. . .

You will get an invite in your storeroom. The captain will give a short presentation and will answer questions. There will be free drinks and appetizers.

Awsome :cool1: thanks, will you be there ?

Did you not see me say "free drinks"!! hahaha - oh yes!! I plan to be there!! :lmao:

There is also a photographer there and I think it is usually "Captain Mickey" there posing for pictures.

I am so excited for this cruise. It will be my first time cruising with Disney! only 170 days.
