Hey!:scared1: - I just thought! :scared1: - are you all partying without me:scared1:

Are you all lurking in some cyber-room drinking wine and scoffing down cheesecake?

If so, where the heck was my invite????????

NANCY!!!! did you forget to send karen an invite.

wheres our buddy andy???
:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: (just in case)

Andy is taking a little break from the DISboards. I’m sure he’ll be back soon.
Mike, good idea about the Dust Stuff for Andy. I know he needs it.

:lmao: They've just gone. Neil is taking them home (neither drive) now. She was ok and ate most of her dinner, but passed Dad her dumpling when she thought I wasnt looking:rotfl2: (she's sneeky). I had the poison ready and waiting but I'll save that for another day when she REALLY annoys me.

She still had a little dig as she was leaving....she said in a pitiful voice.. "Bye Ellis, not sure when I'll see you next, but be good"....then continued (in the same breathe) "can he stay over on Saturday?".... she never gets any better - its just a case of bite your tongue and ignore as much as possible. We had plans for the 3 of us to go to a family restaurant - I guess Ellis will moan now and want to stay over at Grandma's instead:rolleyes:

Oh well, I've done my bit for a while, I'll next invite them over in April - I have 6 weeks to recover til next time:lmao:

Wonderful to hear you survived! My MIL does the same thing. Last night at the movies she said "if ever you have children..."blah, blah, blah. I usually stop listening after that. Woody almost gave her a heart attack at Christmas. She was going on about one of her friends children having their 3ed and they were younger than us and Woody told her we had decided not to have kids! :rotfl2: The look on her face was priceless!

Just kidding...it's a chunk of $$$, but actually less than I was expecting.

Karen - let Ellis go over to Grandma's and spent some quality time with that handsome husband instead...

Rose - I didn't reply earlier, but those are some great pics of the campus...I miss college life!

Glad to know someone was watching over him

Shortly after my mom passed away, my brother, his wife and three boys were hiking in Johnston Canyon and their littlest boy Jack (he was 3 then) stepped on a patch of ice and slid down the side of the canyon. They said that there was absolutely no reason he should have stopped, he should have slid all the

Here's my angel story.....

When Emily was 3 and our nephew was 2, they were playing on MIL's patio while Rob and his Dsis chatted just inside in the living room. They could see the kids playing and were ok with it. Well, of course the kids wandered outside of the patio (Rob and Jodi, his sister, didn't think the kids were able to open the screen door), and over to the pool. A few minutes later Emily came into the house and announced matter-of-factly, "Austin's in the pool." So needless to say, Rob and Jodi sprint out to the pool to find 2 yr old Austin floating on his back eyes wide open and very calm. Rob immediately jumped in to get him and took him to his mom, Jodi. Rob said in those couple of seconds that it took him to get to the pool, he could see the child but he thought he was face down--very scary. As he got closer he could tell that he was floating on his back. So where does the angel come in, right? Well, earlier that afternoon, they were all on the patio (Rob, Jodi and the kids--my Derek was in an infant seat) and Emily kept bugging Rob, asking, "Daddy, who's that man by the pool?" Rob would look out to the pool and no one was there. She was insistent and kept asking him the same question, even saying, "Yes, Daddy, right over there. Who is that man?" Finally he told her to stop asking and she did. What else would make Austin so calm in a cold pool, but an angel? This took place in October--not freezing in Louisiana, but not warm enough to be in a pool either.

That wasn't the first or last time Emily has "seen" someone.........

Unfortunately, after she started school, the "visions" stopped.

Wow, what a story!
