Morning KK2ers

I have been busy working on some projects and haven't been able to post much. Thought I would take the time to do an official intro for those of you who didn't sail with us on KK1.


My name is Cass and I live up here in the North Pole. Ok, fine...I live in Calgary Alberta, 45 minutes away from the gorgeous Canadian Rockies but sometimes it feels like the North Pole!

I live with my amazing husband Robert who sometimes posts on the DIS as Darkrobe. Rob and I have a beautiful baby girl named Kira who just turned 1. I was 19 weeks pregnant with Kira when I first started posting on the KK1 thread and I posted tons of pics of her during her first year of life, so the KKers saw my baby girl grow up on the DIS.

We have a cabin booked on this cruise but we're not 100% sure that we will actually be going. We don't want to take Kira because she will be just shy of her third birthday and probably not potty trained and therefore cannot go in the clubs or the Mickey Pool so I think it would be a very stressful cruise for all of us if we brought her. So, we are hoping to have either my sister or Rob's mom take care of Kira but it's so far away that we cannot count on that happening.


So that's our story

For the KK1ers who have been asking about Kira...

Kira Update

She is doing really well, walking everywhere, not so wobbly anymore. She's really starting to talk! She does a lot of animal sounds, especially Woof Woof and Meow since we have some of those woof woofs and meows IN the house and she says it everytime she sees them She has ten teeth now, two of which are molars that just came in! (rough few days there!) She is fascinated with books and hates veggies, (just like her mom ) and learns things SO quickly, it's almost scary!

im mike, otherwise known as underdog and my lovely wife robin of 32 years is on the dis as tart annihilator.(its a long story)
we were also were on kk1 and had the best time ever!!!
my fear is that now that kk2 has been booked i wont get anything done for the next 22 months.
hence ive imposed a limit to my posts this time.
its not working out very well but im trying.
we met a LOT of great people on this cruise and really miss chatting with them.(although i know a little of underdogs warped sense of humor can go a long way)
anyway hope you and rob can make it to kk2.
really enjoy seeing pics of your little princess(or pincess as it may be )

We're taking our little ones. I can manage about a weekend without them but then I really start missing them so spending an entire week away is too hard to think about. Maybe when they're teenagers.

When they're teenagers, you worry about what they are doing while you're gone.

78 pages and I finally get my first FO? I'm pathetic. Not only that, I'm talking to myself too now.

I have to tell you what happened yesterday.


My Mom & Dad (who, as most of you know is in a nursing home) have been hoarding baby dolls. The nursing home keeps them around because some of the residents treat them as if they are real. (rocking them, talking to them, etc.)

My Mom used to make clothes for baby dolls all the time. So when Mike and I went there Fri., I asked her how they have been and she said "We've been going to yard sales all day and I bought some baby dolls" I looked in her bed and sure enough, she was hiding 2 baby dolls under her blankets.

She went on to tell me, she wanted a big baby doll. So Mike & I went to wal-mart and I bought her one for x-mas. It's life size and life like.

As we were walking through the store, I was carrying it like you would your school books (at my side). This elderly lady came down the isle looking horrified, then said... "Oh my gosh, I thought that baby was real."

I wish we had more people from Ohio on the boards. It would be cool to have a mini dis meet. I guess everyone in Ohio is content at home except us. We have to keep taking cruises.
