Night Robin, Hi Becky

ok

but you have to wear your pjs inside out then

im really wanting this day off

imagin the sleding with icyness!

my friend is going to teach me how to snowboard but if we have an "ice" day i dont think it would work!

i could see that!

70+ MPH going down a hill on a snowboard

i would proably break the world record for broken bones or for fastest on a snow board :scared1:

Hey Becky,

Did you do your first weigh in?

How's it been going? I haven't done too bad. Occaisional sweet (which I shouldn't be doing) but I've been hitting the elliptical pretty hard. :cool1:

Well my first weigh in was Saturday and that was to tell me my starting spot, needless to say I managed to not gain weight during the cruise, I saved that task for after. Not good!:scared1:

So I talked to Sean today and he and I will be doing WW points. He has a few pounds to lose, and he wants to go back out on patrol after this assignment so he needs to be in shape. So he and I are keeping tabs on each other.

I did find a good snack though. They are the fiber one bars, and they have chocolate in them. I have a point calculator and I had to do it twice, but they are just 1 point:banana: and they are filling and take care of the chocolate craving. Plus they have 9 grams of fiber per bar, and that's good.

OK does anyone watch John and Kate plus 8. They are showing their WDW trip right now and staying at the WL. When they got to the room they had ears for all of them and I almost cried.

Can you imagine, 6 three year olds, oy!

Hi Nancy and Rach!:wave2:

Ok so you 2 can explain things to this West Coaster. What is the difference between sleet and an ice storm?

Oh and Rach I am fairly certain that we are going to have those glow bracelets left come 2009. If I give them to you would you be willing to be in charge of passing them out to the KK kids?

yeahh sure that would be fine

just let me know those were nice to have

when is pirate night on the eastern?

im still here im just working on current events

i figure if i have my homework done then because i did it ill have off :rotfl:

As a school secretary, yes please do your homework! I can't stress enough how important education is. I have so many kids in my school that are not taking it seriously enough. It drives me crazy.

OK guys,
Before KK1 you were talking about a waterproof digital camera. Which one was it? And did you like the pics it took?

Ok Karen this one is for you,
I noticed that you were wearing the croc sandals that came out this year. Are they comfy, and how do they fit, do they stay on while walking or do they slip?

I'm not weighing in until after the holidays. I don't need that kind of aggravation. I'm still trying to be good, but I may have gained a couple of more pounds than those that I gained onboard. Jan 1st comes.... Then I'm gonna get serious.

OK guys,

it was the Olympus Stylus 790SW

Here's my honest opinion:

Pros:
Cost: Under $300 (I got a great bargain on Newegg.com) For a waterproof camera that's a steal!
Waterproof?: YES! It performed beautifully. Even in Salt water. I really held my breath the first time I dunked it, but It survived w/o a problem. Interesting Story: After returning from CC I needed to clean the Salt water from my camera. The instructions said to soak the camera in fresh water for 10 minutes and repeatedly open and close the lens cover to remove and retained debris. Well, Laura interrupted me while I was performing that task and with my swiss cheese brain, I forgot that I left the camera soaking in the sink. We ran off to dinner. Upon returning to our cabin our steward nervously approached me, to inform me that he found my camera in a sink full of water. (I think he really wanted me know know that he didn't have anything to do with a broken camera.) I informed him that the camera was waterproof and there was nothing to worry about. His relief was palpable. So... did it work after it's extended soaking? Yes. perfectly.
Shockproof?: You betcha! Laura dropped it in Grand Cayman onto the sidewalk. Now every time I drop my cell phone, I end up with a new scratch or dent (and the thing hardly has any mass!) I have yet to find any mark whatsoever on the thing! (your mileage may vary) Picked it up, works like a charm.
Ease of use: Very self explainatory. I've yet to pick up the manual.
Picture Quality: 7 megapixels. That's great definition for the price. When I get around to posting my pictures... you can see for yourselves. I need to figure out a way to post the pics so that I don't have to decrease the resolution!
Batterylife: Last time I charged it, was onboard the Magic. Granted I haven't but used it a few times since then but that's not bad. It's always ready to go when I am.
Size: I love things that once placed in my pocket, I forget about them. (of course that is how I washed my cell phone that one time) Very small very thin and very easy to tote about.
Viewscreen: Gargantuan for the size of the camera.

Cons:
Propriatary Olympus memory chip--I hate propriatary things. It smacks of, "I'm the only one making this so you'll just have to pay what I charge and like it." One of the biggest reasons why I have never owned an Apple.

Well that does it for the cons.

Well as always it is pretty lonely here on the west coast.
Goodnight to my US and Canadian KKers
Goodmorning to my UK KKer's

Thanks Steve,
I was looking at this one for our upcoming cruise since I will be at CC 3 times(horrible I know:woohoo: ). That and the humidity I hear is horrible so it may have to be a back up to Sean's SLR.
