Hazel had to take Lina to the doc yesterday, she has a URI, gotta gets the meds started, she can't be  for her own party this weekend.

Hope you start feeling better soon Carrie.

Good Morning Andy

Thank you. I feel better right now but mornings are always my strong point. We will see tonight.

Hope Lina starts feeling better also.

You'll have to stop by when you drop him off or pick him up. Let us know when you'll be down.
I think he is going to the one at the end of the month of July. We will give a call when we are down. We drop off on Sunday nights, and pick up on Friday afternoon.

She's three. Late last year she took the swimming class with her Dad at our YMCA. I have been meaning to sign her up for the next stage in the progression. This week I am going to sign her up for hte sessions that begin after the 4th of July. She needs to learn how to swim...if not for her most of all for her PARENTS who will seriously have a heart attack before this girl turns 13.

Keep me posted on how she does with the lessons. Also have the sitter see if she acts differently when she goes out side around the pool. That would be a gread start to see if she is going to have and issues from it.

Oh boy!!!! Can you ever win??!!

I am begining to think no. I am going to try to take some time this week and look at the grocery stores around me and see what they are hiring. And if they are. Ultimatly I will tell you that Target is not going to last forever for me, and most likely not as a company either.

OH NO! I hope you feel better and that it isn't anything bad for you.
I almost ALWAYS get a bad cold in May every year but for some reason this year I never got it! I'm sure it'll creep up on me sometime soon!

I think some of it might just be stress related. I got myself very stressed out this weekend about the whole job thing. I normally get sick if I get really stressed so I am hoping to stop it before it fully hits.

I forgot to mention this last week. When my eldest niece VJ was up here for Lina's graduation she asked Lina if she would like to be her baby's Godmother. It was the first time in my life I actually saw Angelina speechless.......:rotfl2:

Lina just sat there in shock, she didn't know what to say, she sat on the couch grinning from ear to ear. VJ is due to have her baby this coming October, and she found out last week that she is having a girl....:cloud9:

Oh, how special. VJ sounds like she has a good head on her shoulders to have already thought of a Godmother. It took us awhile to come up with one. I think Mackenzie was 6 months old before we took that step. So did Lina give her an answer or is she still thinking about it?

Well, looks like I missed chatting with everyone, but I'll stop by and say good morning/afternoon anyway.... :goodvibes

Thomas had a blast at the pool yesterday, but came home with a sunburn. He's definitely cursed with his mother's fair skin :sad2:

Which brings me to a question....I think I've seen or heard of shirts that you can wear swimming that protect against the sun....can anyone help me out on what they're called so I can do some online shopping?

DS has another field trip today - to the Milwaukee Zoo....another fun day!

I need a vacation too...only 23 days until Door County trip!

Jen this might not help. I don't know the name of them but I always just do a search on Ebay for swim shirts. I have always been able to find them for mackenzie. Actually this year she was going to wear the same bottoms she has had for the past 3 years, and then I found a shirt at Target. For girls they had a few styles to choose from. I never looked to see if they carried them for boys though. Oh something to go do when I get into work.

Now that I have caught up I see that I am talking to myself:(

Well I am off, Mac just got up so I can spend the last 5 minutes before I go with her.

I got an additional 7 minutes on the clock yesterday we will see if I get any today.

Was Vegas a work or leisure trip?

No need to read back on the 64 pages. I don't believe there was any cruise specific talk on there.

I guess it was leisure since I had to pay for it. ;)

However, it felt like work with all of the computer stuff I was doing. Family work that is. (That's the free kind...)

My Father really believes in making backups on his computer. Unfortunately, he was backing up his C Drive on his C Drive. He ran out of disk space eventually and had multiple copies (that were each slightly different) of most of his directories. Lots of old pictures that he scanned. I sorted it all out, while making sure not to lose any of the photos or other files. He now has photo album software that he can use to tag each picture with names, places, etc. :offtopic: It was great reliving parts of his life through pictures. He had some old pictures like "France from a boxcar" in 1946 when he was in the Army.

Well, I caught up on the thread in about 30 seconds, so I guess its time to talk to myself again this morning:rolleyes1

Good morning Karen, how are you this morning?

Good morning, I'm fine thanks Karen, how are you?

Not bad at all, the sun is shining and I'm off to the gym later, what are you doing?

Wow, how strange, the sun is hsining where I live too and I'm also off to the gym.

What you doing this afternoon?

Ironing, how about you?

 Me too!

................ya see? - its not easy talking to yourself ..... you know the answers to all the questions before you ask them:rotfl:

Have a great day everybody.

Karen.... TOO FUNNY! :rotfl2: (even if I am a day late and a dollar short!)

another Disney question.....

For you who have stayed at OKW, any suggestions on which building I should request?

We are staying at SoG, POR, and OKW. I am not even attempting a request at SoG (our stays are short there), and we've stayed at POR before, so I know what to request there.

I HAVE 17 DAYS LEFT, PEOPLE!!!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

If you haven't gotten an answer, Matthew looked at the map to get the numbers.

11 through 14 are right across the parking lot from the Hospitality house (main pool, Olivias Restaurant, check in desk etc and best of all: good bus stop!)

62 and 23 are also close enough for an easy walk to the Hospitality House.

Happy Planning!

Well, it's been a CRAZY and STRESSFUL 24 hours in our house!

I got a call around 4pm from our babysitter (good friend of mine) that Amelia had gone face first into the pool (she doens't know how to swim) and that she swallowed a bunch of water, was vomiting, etc. So imagine my heart and tummy after getting THAT call at work!

Amelia was taken by ambulance to the ER and I met her there. Poor thing was by herself with as she describes them, "The boys that took her to the Dr.!"

She proceeded to vomit a lot at the ER, had to get chest Xrays, an IV and stayed overnight. I stayed with her. She's fine now and everything looks clear. We brought her home a couple of hours ago and she wanted to watch CHicken Little (her new fave movie). She curled up with her blanket on the floor in a corner and quickly fell asleep!

OH it's been a really stressful day for everyone and I am hoping Amelia is not afraid to go in the pool now. We'll have to see.

But she's fine and happy to be home! We're thrilled she's home, too!!!

 for you and Amelia. That is an awful experience to go through for both of you! Glad to hear she is okay!

Just remember not to get complacent after she learns. (I know you wouldn't... but it's the nurse in me!)

BTW, I forgot to tell you all that my brother is set to come home on a two week leave at the end of July!!! :cool1:

Thanks to your brother for his sacrifice. I hope his leave goes by slowly, and the rest of his deployment goes by quickly and safely.

Thanks, Beth. I made my requests yesterday. That's exactly what I requested, too. The CM told me that some of the buildings around HH are designated "preferred" (not the same as "preferred view" when pertaining to points)and all of those were booked up, but there are some that are not "preferred" (like bldg 62 and a couple of others which are just as close to HH) and I might get lucky with one of those. I really only request just in case there is something available in that area. If we don't get it, it's really no big deal; I don't have "little" kids, and we are just happy to be there.:)

Hey Brenda, I enjoyed reading your latest blog post thingy. I laughed when you talked about fritters/doughnuts. In the South (and maybe elsewhere) we have hush puppies and my favorite--boulettes. I'm sure you know about hush puppies (they must have those in St Louis), but boulettes are awesome, too. They are like hush puppies but are stuffed with shrimp or crab or crawfish--so good it makes you want to slap yo mama!:cool1:

Hello Everybody

We are from Scotland, Deborah and Ian, Keith (12) and Olivia (9).

We just booked this Cruise when we were on the Westbound Panama Canal.

But We are not sure if right times about this Cruise because we don't know what exactly our kids school holiday dates. As this is our bummer dates.

I have spoke you Karen at the dibb.

Veranda Man - you send me two postcards last year.

Now I realised that you both are on this Cruise.

OMG Mel!!! That must have been horrible for ALL for you!!! The poor girl, I hope she isn`t too afraid of pools now! I can`t even imagine how you must have felt. I`m really not looking forward to that kind of stuff happening :( I`m glad she;s ok

OH! That's so sweet! I BAWLED when my best friend asked me and EB to be her son's godparents last year. It's such an honor! (or as Cass would say, "It's such an honour!":lmao:)

Hey, don`t mock the Canadian!!! :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

We are neighbours and we have to love and honour each other. Sometimes we paint with different colours but we all labour to come together no matter how many kilometres apart we are. It`s no rumour that we`re not as glamourous as our southern neighbours but we still have a certain northern flavour.

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Thanks for taking the time to read, Sistah!

I'm glad you got a laugh out of the donut / fritter debate ... it was supposed to be funny.

I have never cared for hushpppies but those boulettes sound tasty ... I could standing smacking Grimace with a few of those! :rotfl2:
