Just sitting around here waiting to see if Lina wants to go to the community center this morning. I'll give her a nudge in about 15 minutes.

Before, the ivy covered oak tree(was partially cut down before)

After(the tree surgeon is coming back later to remove the base of the tree)
I told him to go home and enjoy the rest of the holiday with his family.

Gosh...how would you have known it was rotten with all the Ivy covering it?

Yeah, we are too!!! That tree stood next to our back patio and kitchen.

More natural light though in the house as a result.

Your such a good girl! We are having kabobs, and a pear,walnut, blue cheese salad. Then for dessert brownies with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. Tomorrow, back to the grind stone.

Besides a very smoky week a couple of weeks ago, the fires are not having an affect here. They are saying they may not get the Big Sur fire under control until the end of the month.

Isn't this where Chris and family are travelling in a few weeks?

It's 3:47 am here, been up since 2 am, bit of insomnia hitting me I guess. Glad it's Saturday instead of Sunday though. Teachers come back to school on Monday.

And to think, the summer before last, I cut all the ivy away from the tree, that stuff grows like crazy.......

What a workout!!!

15 minutes on the bike
10 minutes on the elliptical
25 minutes on the dreadmill
30 tummy crunches

= over 300 calories burned this morning.

I got more of a workout without the ST there.

I am so proud of myself this morning.......

Morning all.

First, my apologies for not getting any pics up yesterday. Was having too much fun partying. Actually, if Suz knew I was on the DIS, she'd kill me.

As soon as I can get on my work laptop, I'll post some pics I took. I'm sure Nancy won't be my friend after a couple of them. My home computer hangs up way too much. Not sure if I need to restore the system to get all the garbage off the drives.

The party went great. Hope the guests had a good time. We had a good display of fireworks on the horizon. I was lighting my own, so I couldn't give you a count, but I believe it was in excess of 12 (someone else can confirm).

We'll be doing this party again next year.
