I hope you guys are enjoying your s'mores and cookies!! :thumbsup2 I'm off to have my supper....roasted chicken breasts, rice and veggies :crazy2:

Your such a good girl! We are having kabobs, and a pear, walnut, blue cheese salad. Then for dessert brownies with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. Tomorrow, back to the grind stone.

That's it for me kids, I'm sitting here falling asleep in my chair. See ya in the morning.......:wave2:

Thanks Cass. I thought it was that.

Fireworks are set to go in the back yard. About 15 more minutes. Sorry, no webcam for this. The ones in the surrounding communities will start in about 30 minutes.

Made it too the beach, DH got stung by a jelly fish so we didn't stay much longer, it was too hot not to go in the water. So we came home and floated in the pool. We had steak and over roasted potatoes & peas for dinner.

There are fire works going off all around. It's going to be hard to sleep here, and I am worn out. Sitting in the sun makes me sleepy.

Happy fireworks all.

oh ok, my sister is in Fair Oaks, near Sacramento. I love it out there. Your gas is a little higher than ours. Are the fires effecting you? I didn't get to see my nephew since he is a fireman and was sent to Mendicino to help out there.

Besides a very smoky week a couple of weeks ago, the fires are not having an affect here. They are saying they may not get the Big Sur fire under control until the end of the month.

That is so sad, it's such a pretty spot.

I know what you mean. DD cleaned out several trash bags and two huge boxes of "stuff" from her room. We plan to have a BIG yard sale soon. She had been complaining that her room was too small. It is on the small side, but without all that stuff she actually has room to turn around.

We painted today. DH wasn't sure how it would turn out--three walls pale blue and one wall magenta. DD and I love it! We'll like it even better when the rug (which ties all the colors together) and her desk arrive.

I'm worn out with the work in her room and trying to pack for the weekend away, but when I get to the mountains it will be worth it! Also, it will be nice when she has a friend over for them to be able to sleep in her room. With only a twin bed before, they were going to the den to the couch and an air mattress. She has a "captain's bed" (high twin) with a trundle underneath. I love it. I convinced DH that it is a piece of furniture for the future--grandkids will like it too. (NOT RUSHING FOR THAT THOUGH!) I really wanted DD to have a room that she will enjoy her last few years with us before college or whatever.

It's amazing how much bigger a room seems once you get rid of the excess stuff!!!

Your daughter's room sounds really cool. I like that color combination. My oldest daughter has a platform bed... elevated but not as high as a top bunk. The other is a daybed style with a trundle underneath... not quite as stylish as the captain's bed type, though.

 She shoots, she scores!!

MG got a Wii Fit! (Now I just have to figure out how to use it).

Let us know how cool it is! I might want to get one. We spoke to the guy at a video game store and he said it is really great and he uses it all the time.

Well not the Sean pic, but here is the only child in the house this weekend.
He is my least needy of the bunch:lmao: His name is Yoda or Bubba and he does answer to both.

Totally adorable kitty!!!:cutie:

Top of the Mornin' to You Crew......

Early to bed, early to rise..............yeah, right..........:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That was one big tree, you are lucky it never fell on the house.

I know, we are very thankful indeed. A few years back the tree was struck by lightning and one large branch was hanging over our back patio. If that branch had broken completely off, our patio would have been crushed. Slowly but surely, that's when we started to have the tree trimmed. It's not cheap having trees, of this size, taken down, that's for sure.
