Where's Karen?

I'm here now:goodvibes

Sorry I was late checking in - had a meeting at school this morning re Ellis going on the school trip:rolleyes: - I want reasurance that the person in charge knows what they are doing re his allergy before I sign the consent form.... I now have another meeting with the teacher, head of year, head teacher tomorrow:rolleyes:

Wouldnt it be easier to just let me go on the trip with them:confused3 - I'm a trained classroom assistant anyway:rolleyes:

Then I was at my mothers for 4 hours:scared1: - yes! - 4 hours with my mother:scared1: - I survived it (just);)

Looks like my Alex had a rough start (grey shirt starting to stumble)....

But he made it there........

I noticed that as I posted - the kid on his left looks like he was holding him back with his elbow  - the cheat should have been disqualified:rotfl:

Wow, what a storm yesterday! We were without power for some time. I had a couple of things broken and Derek swears there was a tornado in the front yard. He was home alone and has a wild imagination, but the weather was bad nonetheless. I was a little anxious to say the least. I have no basement so I decided we'd hunker down in the laundry room (middle of the house) if need be. I'm a Louisiana girl; I can handle hurricanes, but tornadoes scare me.......

Everyone is fine here, though.:goodvibes

Glad you're all safe:hug:

i have a flip floppy stomach this morning

Baby #3???

:lmao: Just what I was thinking:lmao:

Paige if i knew how to "nick" pictures off the web I'd show you what slums some British soldiers and their families are made to live in...Built in the 50's many have had NOTHING really done to them since,Many "appear" to be derelict their in such a state, yet we have the money to built brand new "Immigration" HOTELS for immigrants who if the truth were told bloody hate us...were a joke ain't we?...Or the young Kid shoot in Iraq by accident when a british soldier dropped his weapon causing an accidental discharge got $5m compensation for his injuries while a 23 year old lad from 2 Para got only $500k for the loss of 3 limbs and a good bit of his brain.....:(

Any useless dregs out there come to Britain we'll take care of you,and after everything we've done for you ain't enough we'll pay you to go back home and settle in......I KID YOU NOT PEOPLE.....Rant over sorry.....:rolleyes1

I hear you Chris:sad2: :furious:

I think were affectionately know as "The Borrowers" over there in Army circles ain't that right Paige?....We also have a saying when were working along side you guys "If it shines steal it".....Hence am the proud owner of a Navy Seal's kit bag and one or two other nice shiny trinkets...:rolleyes1

When Rob had Comm Co, I think this is how they worked, too....:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

:rotfl2: That reminds me of when we took a teeny plane to Venezuela to see the Angel falls - meant to be the worlds tallest:confused3 ...anyway, we got near to them, everyone had cameras ready to see this wonderful spectacular falls ...............only to find out it was dry season
There was just a trickle coming over the top:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
It cost us an absolute fortune - I'm sure there was a man at the top behind a bush chucking a bucket of water over every time he heard a plane:rotfl2:

And then, after we landed............

they sold us all a large (and very expensive) photo of what they should have looked like:lmao: :lmao: .......... and we all bought one:lmao: :lmao:

It was hysterical

On the very same trip we also were meant to be going on a "walk through the jungle" - holy crap:scared1: - the guides infront of us had mashetees (sp) and were hacking through this undergrowth til we got to the stream we could swim in.

It took me all my courage to get in the water *** I could see huge spiders along the bank and so I kept my t shirt and trainers on...... I got in and swam like a mad thing to this cave thing which was meant to be "spectacular".

Half way there I felt something wrap round my leg..... I FREAKED!, started screaming and kicking about thinking it was a snake in the water. The guides jumped in with knives in hand, other tourists started panicking...... it was real scary............

They got me out of the stream only to find......................

it was my shoelace off my trainers:

I have NEVER felt so stupid in all my life:lmao:

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Yep, I was happy that Alex beat him to the castle....:rotfl:

Great...If you will allow me, will give you the "quarter" tour if you haven't been to San Antonio before....:goodvibes

By the way, Di just called, hard to put into words the excitement in her voice..."We just fininshed Aladdin"...Then in the background "Hurry Elijah Asiah we can do it again, no line...Hurry Hurry..this is grandma's favorite ride..." sounding like a 10 year old...Warm to the Heart hearing the excitement in her voice...Priceless :cloud9:

Walt :cool1: :moped: :moped:

:cutie: She sounds like she's having a ball!:cutie:

Here are some "crazy pictures" to lift the mood........My boys being silly at breakfast in Lumiere's......

Your boys are so handsome::yes::

Getting ready for a HOT and HUMID weekend in Virginia. Saturday will peak with a high of 99 and very high humidity. For this, I might as well be in FLORIDA. :yay:

Staying inside as much as possible.

EPCOT_VA

Likewise here Matthew as we also will be in the mid to upper 90's with high humidity. I feel sorry for Hazel though. She is going camping with the Missionettes that she teaches on Wednesday evenings. The "girls" leave Friday at 5pm and arrive home around 2pm on Sunday. I "might" go in and work a few hours Saturday morning, but other than that, I will be indoors with the central air set at 78* :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Glad I made you laugh - I just wanted the ground to open up and swallow me - I was sooooooooooooooo embarrassed.:rolleyes1

Luckily for me on the "hike back to civilisation" one of the other tourists slipped and fell straight on her fat *ss in a big mud puddle - she was wearing white t shirt and shorts - she looked like the mud monster when she stood up:rotfl2:

At least it gave the others someone else to laugh at on the way back to the hotel;)

Karen---:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: can't type, laughing too hard :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: shoelaces :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: too funny :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Matthew--the clock on the boards have been messed up for quite a while now. At one point, after the new servers took over, the clock was right on time, but that didn't last long, slowly but surely, it has fallen back again....:worried:

ok, so who else is sick and tired of the Clinton/obama thing on tv?

Geez! - god knows how much coverage its getting over there, but we have it on every bit of news over here.

It doesnt matter who gets in over here - they're all useless and make a bigger mess of the country than it already is anyway:rolleyes1

Made it back from the rainy south, had a fab time except for the weather.
Still trying to catch up, just read the last few pages,
Karen - loved your story.
Paige - those boys were the sweetest and all so polite.
i will post pics when sean puts them in photobucket, dont know what to do.
there are some great pictures of olivia and i at the otter sanctuary, feeding and cleaning out the otters, we were otter keepers for the morning so we had to do all the jobs that they do, yes even cleaning out poo. Funny i seemed to get that job:rotfl: .
It was awesome.

I messed up my diet a bit today -

SF Smoothie for brekkie:thumbsup2

Got to moms and she'd made me lunch:headache: - 2 bread rolls with cheese and salad. I ate one. Its probably still 300-350 calories. I forfeited my mid afternoon and mid morning snack to compensate so so far I should have had approx 570 calories.

Dinner is veggie curry, brown rice and salad - probably 700 calories:confused3
No evening snack for me tonight:rolleyes:
