Getting ready for a HOT and HUMID weekend in Virginia. Saturday will peak with a high of 99 and very high humidity. For this, I might as well be in FLORIDA. :yay:

Staying inside as much as possible.

Hmmm, megan's soccer game, end of season soccer party, friend's birthday party.

Well, I may not be inside that much after all.

HI Walt! I may be going to TX in October--San Antonio--beautiful city!

Great...If you will allow me, will give you the "quarter" tour if you haven't been to San Antonio before....:goodvibes

By the way, Di just called, hard to put into words the excitement in her voice..."We just fininshed Aladdin"...Then in the background "Hurry Elijah Asiah we can do it again, no line...Hurry Hurry..this is grandma's favorite ride..." sounding like a 10 year old...Warm to the Heart hearing the excitement in her voice...Priceless :cloud9:

Walt :cool1: :moped: :moped:

Paige if i knew how to "nick" pictures off the web I'd show you what slums some British soldiers and their families are made to live in...Built in the 50's many have had NOTHING really done to them since,Many "appear" to be derelict their in such a state, yet we have the money to built brand new "Immigration" HOTELS for immigrants who if the truth were told bloody hate us...were a joke ain't we?...Or the young Kid shoot in Iraq by accident when a british soldier dropped his weapon causing an accidental discharge got $5m compensation for his injuries while a 23 year old lad from 2 Para got only $500k for the loss of 3 limbs and a good bit of his brain.....:(

Any useless dregs out there come to Britain we'll take care of you,and after everything we've done for you ain't enough we'll pay you to go back home and settle in......I KID YOU NOT PEOPLE.....Rant over sorry.....:rolleyes1

Dh was in the Air force for 25 years. Some of the housing is a disgrace. It's a shame the way we take care of our own.

It's our youngest military members who have it the worst IMHO. It does not make sense to me that men and women who are putting their lives on the line make POVERTY LEVEL wages! When Rob was a young enlisted Marine, we were newly married, still in college, and had no kids, so we had no issues with the pay, thank God. But many of these men/women have children to support and don't make a decent wage. Ok, rant over...sorry to be wayyy:offtopic:

Here are some "crazy pictures" to lift the mood........My boys being silly at breakfast in Lumiere's......

I think were affectionately know as "The Borrowers" over there in Army circles ain't that right Paige?....We also have a saying when were working along side you guys "If it shines steal it".....Hence am the proud owner of a Navy Seal's kit bag and one or two other nice shiny trinkets...:rolleyes1

:rotfl2:

FLUFF,FLUFF AND MORE FLUFF WAS ALL THEIR WAS TO SEE.....a bloody big hole full of cotton wool,4 hours there and 4 hours back to see a bath of cotton wool......:rolleyes1

:rotfl2: That reminds me of when we took a teeny plane to Venezuela to see the Angel falls - meant to be the worlds tallest:confused3 ...anyway, we got near to them, everyone had cameras ready to see this wonderful spectacular falls ...............only to find out it was dry season:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

There was just a trickle coming over the top:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
It cost us an absolute fortune - I'm sure there was a man at the top behind a bush chucking a bucket of water over every time he heard a plane:rotfl2:

And then, after we landed............

they sold us all a large (and very expensive) photo of what they should have looked like:lmao: :lmao: .......... and we all bought one:lmao: :lmao:

It was hysterical:lmao:

On the very same trip we also were meant to be going on a "walk through the jungle" - holy crap:scared1: - the guides infront of us had mashetees (sp) and were hacking through this undergrowth til we got to the stream we could swim in.

It took me all my courage to get in the water *** I could see huge spiders along the bank and so I kept my t shirt and trainers on...... I got in and swam like a mad thing to this cave thing which was meant to be "spectacular".

Half way there I felt something wrap round my leg..... I FREAKED!, started screaming and kicking about thinking it was a snake in the water. The guides jumped in with knives in hand, other tourists started panicking...... it was real scary............

They got me out of the stream only to find......................

it was my shoelace off my trainers:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I have NEVER felt so stupid in all my life:lmao:

The cruise that sailed the week after our cruise in August 2004 had an extra 3 days added to their cruise because of a hurricane. They had to go to Texas to refuel. That was the Magic's "first ever 10 day cruise."

Wow! - we'll have flights the same day - hope this doesnt happen to us!
