I'll be a part of the change management team, assisting in training for the new projects, facilitating project logistics, and coordinating project activities.

I'll be traveling quite a bit throughout the year to Texas, California, Canada... to most of our subsidiaries and conferences. Schedule hasn't been set yet.

I started training a temp for my job today. They want me to start ASAP, so I'm going to work 1/2 day on one job to train her and 1/2 day on my new job.

Regarding my Dad... he's doing a little better. He's starting to smile more, doesn't seem so agitated. Psych came in today...the way he talked, he may be heading back to Windsor soon. (nursing home)

How's your Dad doing Nancy? Hope everything's fine.

Any offices in Calgary???? :rolleyes1

And you guys are best friends now. ;) :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

BAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Nancy,

I hear you're going camping. In a cabin? With a bathroom? That's not camping. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Camping is sleeping on the ground under the stars and waking up damp from the dew. Then using the nearest bush for a bathroom and poison ivy for toilet paper. NOW THAT'S CAMPING! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

If that's camping....no thanks!!! :lmao:

I just wanted to add my "storm report" for the night. I got off work at 7:30 and seemed to drive INTO the storm. No tornado type activity, but sheets of rain. As I started driving out again, I saw some amazing sights!

Left side: large black cloud. Ahead of me: layers of dark and lighter clouds. To the right: Clouds up but clear sky below them and (best of all) the sun behind the clouds shining through with the brightest white light I have ever seen! It reflected off the water on the road (blinding!) so I had to be careful. But, the whole scene together was just beautiful! I wished I had a camera (cell phone camera too complicated for driving in the rain!)

Ok, now I am HUGELY jealous!!! I am a storm girl, just like MG and we don't get many storms up here. It sounds gorgeous!!!!!! Sigh, I wish it was storming here now. I can't complain too much it's been quite rainy here lately :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Just got back from my deep water workout. I love being in the water as long as I'm not in the sun :rolleyes1

Mike & Robin,

If Kira had been a boy, she would have been Zander ;) It was the only name we could agree on

But for some reason, as soon as we picked the name Kira Christina for a girl, (my mom's name was Christina) I just knew it was going to be a girl! :goodvibes

Well, it is morning anyhow, another rainy, gloomy start to the day here......:worried:

Hey Robin, I even tried to bring the microwave along.:lmao: Chuck won't let me. :confused3 Ok, how about I change that to: "The kids are going camping this weekend and I'm watching". :rotfl:

Yep, that's "real" toilet paper...........:rotfl:

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

OK here's a name for you

Landon Charles Dxxx

Get it his initials backwards would be DCL :thumbsup2

Cass, we've been having thunderboomers since 4 this morning. It's 6:30 and it's still thundering out there. We're expecting bad storms until noon today. I would love to call in sick and just sit on my porch and watch this all.

Morning Andy and Mel. Good afternoon Heather. (I know you're out there). :goodvibes

Where's Karen? Where's Jeff? Where's Sean/Cath? Where's Steve? Where's Waldo? :confused3  :confused3

Wow, what a storm yesterday! We were without power for some time. I had a couple of things broken and Derek swears there was a tornado in the front yard. He was home alone and has a wild imagination, but the weather was bad nonetheless. I was a little anxious to say the least. I have no basement so I decided we'd hunker down in the laundry room (middle of the house) if need be. I'm a Louisiana girl; I can handle hurricanes, but tornadoes scare me.......

Everyone is fine here, though.:goodvibes

Poor Jess, last week they asked her to prove she was 16,last night the cleaner asked her "old are you",guess she's Say's "33?"......:scared1:
Poor kid she's had a hard week but like she says "how can i go from looking 15 to looking 33 in only one week".....Truth is she simply don't have her dads youthful looks....:rolleyes1

We had severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings this evening. I swear I drove through either a tornado forming or the periphery of one on the way home. The winds were gusting at 60 mph. All sorts of debris was in the air, mostly tree branches and leaves. They were flying around without hitting the ground for the most part. It was spooky. Lightning was hitting three and four bolts simultaneously. :scared1: That's as close as I ever want to come to a tornado. Lots of car accidents, trees split or uprooted. Some minor house damage in our neighborhood (siding and shingles coming off). I had to pick the girls up from school because the went into lockdown and the buses were delayed. They kept all the kids in the interior hallways for 45 minutes during the tornado warning.

We all made it home. :worship:

Matthew

Oh my goodness. Matthew and everyone else, stay safe.

Is their nothing in the building Regs that make it compulsory that builders built homes that can withstand such weather?...:confused3
