Good morning all.

One more day and we leave for WDW. I am worried about taking these older ladies to WDW. My mother fell yesterday. She seems ok, I have told my sister since she has been here she has to hold on to her going up and down stairs and curbs....ugh. She said she went down slowly so she just hit her butt. I hope nothing happens while we are gone!

Thanks to everyone for the welcomes. I need to get a hosting site and I can post some of my better pictures from the Wonder cruise that we just got off and the Med Cruise last year. The one pic of the Disney Wonder is hosted by a friend of mine on my last cruise thread. Is there a point at which you can post attachments directly without a link? Under my posting rules it says that I Cannot post attachments (but I can link to them).

I'm Matthew, DW is Beth, DD 10 is Megan, and DD 8 is Sarah.

I love the castle pics. We have been to the UK twice and spent one day at Warwick Castle. I'm the familiy genealogist, we came from Somersetshire. I'd love to take a castle touring trip back to England at some point.

When my DD and I saw the B.O.B. thread we thought it was our slogan for this past cruise. For us, B.O.B. was "Back On the Boat". When we were in Barcelona last year at the end of the cruise we came across a DCL Shore Excursion group. I told my two daughters that we just needed to blend into the crowd and we were Back On the Boat! It was Sarah who pointed out that it wouldn't be fair because someone else wouldn't have a room then! Oh well...

I guess I need to set up my signature properly with a B.O.B. logo.

The metro is coming. That's our big focus now that we are within sight of finishing our underground train system (it will replace the mobile lounges). We are still overcoming some political hurdles, but we estimate 2013 - 2015 for completion of the metro to Dulles.

Radisson Update: The contract for the night before the BOB should be mailed to me by the end of the week. They are generating our group code that we will need to use when we make our reservations to get the group rate of $109.00 + tax so I will then be able to forward that on to everyone on the list. I thought maybe I should post the list again so that if I am missing anyone or if there is anyone that wants to be added they can let me know.

Maybe just a reflection of my almost 4 1/2 years on the DIS that has gotten me to the 10,000th post.

I remember coming on here green back in Feb 2004. We had just gotten back from Ocho Rios, Jamaica and booked our cruise (we sat on the beach every day that week watching the ships come in and how much fun it looked like they were having when they sailed away. DCL was NOT one of them. Suz and I said we should look into a cruise some time and I told her Disney had a cruise ship and she said to look into it). Didn't know anything, but started Googling Disney and the DIS came up.

Got hooked on that cruise thread (Jan '05 - Eastern). Didn't really meet up with people because we were still shy.

I did not get involved with my Oct '05 - 3-nt Wonder thread at all. Those threads (3-nighters) never seem to go anywhere.

We then got involved with the Jan '06 - Eastern. That was a great group of people. We had a good time on with that group. (not sure how many posts I had over there, but it was a lot)

Next was our Jan '07 - Western. I was already involved with the Oct '07 - Western (the famous Konked Kruisers), so I didn't post much on that thread either.

Then it was the great Oct '07 - Western with the best cruisers ever. What a blast we had. (had well over 4,000 posts on that thread)

Up next is the Aug '08 - EB Repo, but I think you all know how I feel about that one, so we won't comment there. Spent a few posts over there (almost 1,000).

And up after that will be the Oct '09 - Western (given we don't slip a 3-nighter in next March ). This cruise I think will top all the cruises for the group of DISers on board. I think that cruise (this thread) will be the best and very hard to be beat (unless we go on yet another reunion cruise ). (over 4,000 posts on all the BOB threads combined)

So, that is a little history of my DIS experience through my 10,000 posts. Sorry to bore all of you, but I figured I couldn't just put up

Since everyone has been crying about their little ones growing up, here's one for you.

Today is Cassie's 21st birthday.


She decided that since she was allowed to buy alcohol, she was going to go in to the mini mart and buy some. Kip dropped her at the door, she went in looked at it and ran out of the store.

Then she calls me and says, "I am such a whimp!" I said, "What were you going to do when you bought it?" She said, "I don't know. I don't like the stuff."

We always used this saying on our kids...If you have to drink to have a good time, you've got a problem. The kids would just look at us and roll their eyes.

At work today, someone mentioned that our town has a topix site. During our team planning, we scanned over some of the news. Our principal was "discussed" on one of the forums. It was really just a gossip, venting mill--way too personal about people that we know or are related to in such a small town.

I made the decision to stick with Dising. I'm not going back to that negative site. I plan to stay away from "the dark side"!

I soooo went to that site and read a bunch of junk. A waste of my time. Who has time to post that bunch of stuff? I only have to time to fluff!

Hello everyone! My DH has been having so much fun on the DISBoards that I just had to join for myself! DH is Matthew- or Epcot_VA. So, that would make me the DW- Beth! Our 2 daughters will be celebrating their birthday on the cruise. Sarah will be 10 by then (where does the time go?!) and Megan will be 12. She'll just miss the teens! Oh well, that will come with the next cruise, I suppose. It's actually her "fault" that we are becoming cruise addicts: she made a wish on the Magic last summer that we would take a Disney cruise every year!

Well, I am looking forward to the planning for the next 17 months! The girls are excited. Megan was complaining that it is "over 500 days" until the cruise!

Never been to Vegas. My younger sister is engaged and insists that's where their wedding will be.

We got married in Vegas It was not what most people expect. There was no Elvis, or drive-through or any of that. It was planned 6 months ahead, got married at a beautiful chapel and 25 of our friends/family came down for it. My mom died shortly after we decided to get married and I didn't want to plan a big wedding without her, so for us, it was perfect

Chris, you can probably see the big trees without driving out to Santa Cruz. There are probably tours out of San Fran. Becky should be able to clarify this.

Scott and I did a tour in San Fran through some tour group ( will ask Scott) that took us on a nice hike in the "big Trees" then to Salsalito sp?. It was great.

It's a little pot (looks like a teapot). You put saline solution in it mixed with warm water, bend over the sink, tilt your head to one side and pour it in one nostril. It then runs out the other nostril cleaning out your sinuses. Then you do the other side.

Sounds gross, but it works. Clears up the allergies too.

You're braver than me! - I was squeeling like a baby when I first went up . Thats an amazing photo Matthew took. We'd all love to see more piccies of your cruises - it keeps us all going til next October!
