Does that mean she gets an hour extra of sleep or an extra hour sitting around the airport because they all have to get there at the same time?

This means she gets to sit around the airport a little longer, but then the other kids have to wait at the airport in Chicago until the second flight arrives. Same deal on the way home as well.

Don't have to worry about those teen years Cass, the 3's are bad enough with the attitude. Don't believe the terrible-2's, those were easy. 3 was bad.

I think Hazel and I would prefer Lina at age 3 over the teen years anyday!!!

A little "proud parent" moment before I go. Emily's high school had their sports awards program yesterday. I am so proud of Emily. She is only a Freshman, so we were happy knowing that she would "letter", but she also made the All-Conference team (2nd team). Their conference is small as is their school, so it is not like she is a pitching phenom, but I was proud nonetheless. It will do wonders for her confidence as a pitcher....She also won the "glue" award. It is an award voted on by the entire team. The coach said it is the girl that epitomizes the sport, the one who keeps the team together, the one who they miss when she is not there. Emily was so flattered to receive this award, and I , of course, was very proud of her.

Congrats Emily, way to go girl!!!

I know we closed #6 while Mike/Robin were down visiting Cassie, but thought he would have found us by now.

Not sure which I'd rather have. I think waiting to leave would be better. You at least have seats up in the terminal. Not much in baggage claim.

Although, you'd think since 144 kids can't fit on one bus, they'd start taking the first flight to the hotel right away and use the same bus for the second plane. But what do I know about streamlining expenses?

Of course this morning, it was back to normal and Rob and I were fussing at her about her skirt being too short....

Did I mention that her boyfriend's dad got orders to Hawaii and they are moving next month? He's a nice boy but I'd rather her not have a steady boyfriend at this age......

I won't mention that to Suz. We would be on a plane this weekend if she had her choice. Many years we traveled this weekend. Took DS to Mexico when he was 3 1/2 months on Labor Day Weekend.

If the airfare was cheap and DS could miss Friday, we'd probably be gone.

However, DS is done with school next week Friday. If it were 2 weeks later than that, like most of the schools, I'd probably pull him for one day.

But then again, Suz needs time off for a little vacation we have planned in August.
