Did I miss anything?:lmao:

I barely got chance to look at the navigator. I want to study those more next time round.

Hopefully with the extra sea day I'll get more chance to actually look at the ship this time. It was so overwhelming being the first cruise I couldnt get over it all. I dont think I stopped grinning for a week.:goodvibes

All this cruise talk makes me want to get my passporter out and start reading:yay:

18 MONTHS TO GO AND I CANT WAIT:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

And it's not like I've never had the opportunity to see The Christmas Story, the last few years they seem to run marathons of it where they have it on over and over again. I've just never actually sat down and watched it. I guess I'll have to put that on my to do list for this Christmas time unless it's on while we're at WDW. I like the old Christmas movies like White Christmas, Holiday Inn, The Bishop's Wife (the original with Cary Grant, I love Cary Grant movies), It's a Wonderful Life, etc. now those I've seen dozens of times.

I never saw The Christmas Story until about two years ago myself. It was playing for 24 hours straight.

Good Morning All, have a nice day......

Running late here this morning, didn't want to get out of bed........:rolleyes1

I almost bought myself a new passporter on tuesday. They are so tempting all new and stuff. :cutie: Maybe when we're less than a year out I'll purchase a new one.

Right now I have to get prepared for our August WDW trip. I still don't have a rental car!

Do they still do Beer Tasting onboard?

If so, I'd like to do that. Never done that before. I don't think I could handle martini or wine tasting. I'd be completely intoxicated by the end.

I'd love to have the financial acumen to save that money and accrue interest all year, but it will disappear. Two years ago I told Laura I would never charge another vacation. If we go on vacation, it will be completely paid off prior to leaving. So far, we have done exactly that. The benefit is that I relax a heck of a lot more when I am not worrying about how I am going to pay for everything once we are home.

Once I pay off the Cruise (probably about October) I will be buying the airfare and paying that off. Then, I will be paying off our stay at WDW. I have all of that done just in time to start saving our spending money.

That is... If everything goes according to plan.

Good job Steve.

A lot of people aren't that disciplined with their finances and that's where problems occur.

Nothing wrong with your approach. Having piece of mind and relaxing on vacation are key to making the vacation a great one.

Sorry we'll miss you by the way in CA. Maybe if we get to the SF area in June 2009 (need to blow some FF miles and DS wants to go see the "big trees") we can somehow hook up.

I think what suprised me most was how fast it all went. Everything just flew by... we were usually the last to leave the dining room every night - (its that Jeff -he talks a lot:lmao: )

Well Karen, on the BOB you won't have to worry about is since we're not sitting together. :rolleyes1

(just kidding dear)

That pool meet last time was fun. As we saw more people stroll by we just yelled to them and the crowd grew and grew then the ordering of the cocktails started:banana: The only reason I left was cos I had a date with a Mad Hatter for tea:rotfl:

I don't know who even showed up there first. I think you an Neil were already there (it was not something the 4 of us did together).

Then I just remember there were a couple more, then a couple more after that, it just grew. We had that whole aft side of the adult pool.

Still can't believe we didn't get involved with the pool game going on that day. Although, when we "altered" the game, I don't think the guy was going to complain when he saw the size of our group. :rolleyes1

Needless to say, I don't think it will be the "Quiet" Cove Pool when we're there on the BOB.

There always seemed to be KK'ers in there when we were there each time. A dismeet would be fun. Jeff.... you'll let me know the best times right? - your still my travel guide, correct? I dont have to do it all for myself this time round do I:scared1:

Even if we didn't plan a formal DIS meet, if we all went for the same day/time, it is fun to see everyone in there.

And Karen, the reason you saw so many KKers in there, and everywhere else, is because there were about 130 of us. I think that was my last count.

I haven't counted the group yet. The count for KK included kids. I think we're bigger this time.

What is a fairy cake??!!

Maybe a cupcake made with angel food?

Are these things single, women/men only, or couples? :confused3

Couples. We went with Brenda and Jason, Jo and Danny.

If he is out in Oconomowoc again, he should stop at Piggly Wiggly. I think Fox Brothers owns the one out there too. They own the one in Hartland.

Get their meatloaf, it is really good. No need for you to do any prep, just put it in the oven. :thumbsup2

Also, that is where I get our Chicken Brats. Those are the Bomb also. Did I not serve those at the Packer Party? :confused3

Yes you did have the Chicken brats for your finicky "meat" eating friend. They were fabulous!

Sounding to me that we might want to look into a Palo Brunch DIS meet, unless everyone wants to do it on their own. It's not as romantic as dinner, which most people like to do with their spouse only. Although Karen, Suz, Neil and I had a blast and will again. :cool1:

I'm in for Palo brunch but I'll have to find a date. Tuna won't go. :sad2:

Let me know the cities/route and I'll tell you what I know.

We camped down in the Prairie du Chein area a couple summers ago and it was just gorgeous down there. You can not believe the views from some of the vistas.

How long are you guys up here? We don't get back into town until about 1:30 on the 1st (well, that's when we're suppose to land). Didn't know if you'd still be in town.

Brenda might be up that weekend too. Can't remember which one she is coming up on (hope she booked a hotel already if she's not staying at her BIL .

Brenda can't make it anymore Jeff. :guilty:

Some guy dressed as a woman in Rock'n Bar D.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

TRIVIA QUESTION

If you stand all the way forward on deck 10 and look straight up, what do you see?

Hmmm, it all depends. If you were laying on a lounge chair and it was Pirate night you might have seen Karen and Paige with their skirts blowing over their heads! :rotfl2:

I jsut realized --- I'm on the wrong board :scared1: sorry -- I will leave now!!

Come back....we love new DISers! :rotfl:

Wow, over halfway paid off :cool1: that's great! I wish I could say the same, I'm trying to make monthly payments towards ours this time.

Got a question here. Why is everyone making payments? Why not just keep the money in a savings account until it's time to pay? Am I lost on that one???:confused3

I remember attending a halloween party for children as a kid, 11 years old, in Fallon, Nevada. I was talked into going dressed as a girl by my parents.:confused3
I got to the party and was so embarrassed I just stood in one spot all night. Even the kids that I thought were my best friends had fun with it.:rotfl2: Once in awhile they would walk by and give me a touch :scared1: in places I won't mention.
That was the last time I let my parents determine my costume. What did I ever do :sad2: to deserve that experience I'll never know. At least my dad could have spoke up on my behalf. :worship:
Thus you will never see me in a bra, not even if I had to much to drink.

Chris

OH Chris, sorry you were scarred but that story was hilarious..:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yes, there is a beer tasting onboard. I think a few of our UK DISers did that one last time around. :yay:

Mornin' Jeff, Mornin' Melody. (Do we call you Melody or Mel?) :cutie:

I should be getting my free passporter any day now. A tip I sent up that got selected for the newsletter also made it into the book. They offered me a free book for just getting in the newsletter. :cool1:

As for your rental car, lock one now and then search around. That's what I do. The prices change so much, but I've seen the rare occasion where it goes up before you go. Usually at about 3 weeks, maybe 2, out they will do a last minute push. I just check weekly and with several companies. It doesn't cost anything to canceil/change. :thumbsup2

One of the others will have to post a pic, but a group of the KKers did do the Beer tasting last cruise. I believe there is a DIS meet planned for that on the BOB, but I may be wrong. Check Cass' site to be sure.

What was your tip Jeff? :yay: I won a passporter too last year. I think I'll wait until next year like Melody and get another one then. The info doesn't change that much but it gets us in the mood. We love sitting at TGIF on Saturday afternoons for lunch and read through the PP. :cloud9:

Karen never did answer what Fairy Cake was, did she?

I just read back and found it. It looks like a it's angel food cake as a cupcake with frosting. YUMMO!!! I could have that for breakfast. (Jen, Lori, Robin,...you didn't just read that).
