Morning all - I found you!

We had a 5.2 magnitude earthquake this morning about 4:30 ... what a weird feeling. We haven't really checked the house much for damage ... we're mostly worried about the foundation since we already have so many cracks there to begin with.

The good news ... we do have earthquake insurance!!! :thumbsup2

Hope everyone is well ... I'm off soon to get caught up at the bank because we're leaving Sunday morning for Vegas!!

I just had to file a claim with american family ... the front part of our roof which overhangs our porch has pulled away from the rest of the roof! :scared1:

I saw it this morning when I was backing out of the driveway. There's also about a four inch crack from the top of our front door to the pillars that mark the entrance to our dining room - it's perfectly horizontal ... who knew mother nature could work without a ruler and still stay level?

I'm still leaving the basement for Jay. :lmao:

:grouphug: Thank goodness you have earthquake insurance!

Have a great trip tp Vegas!!!!!

That's sort of what I meant by "adult", I think. The atmosphere already seems so much less "magical" than DCL. Of course, I will enjoy the grownup things with hubby, but we can do those on DCL, too. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised!
:goodvibes

Give me a report when you get back. Like I said, I'm looking at that one for maybe June 2010.

Are you going on the Explorer of the Seas?

Just a reminder tonight is the 2nd of the new Disney shows on the Travel Channel called Disney Splurge! It's on at 8pm central time and then again at midnight here.

Can I be on a team? I really do have something to contribute--:confused3 :rotfl: all fluff

I'm sure we can hook you up on a threesome. (that ought to get Mike on the thread) :rotfl2:

Any other teams want to take the challenge?

Well BOBalosers being sick for 3 weeks has paid off! I am down 5 lbs!!!:woohoo: We have kickball practice this weekend and I am starting to feel better so hopefully I will be shedding some more pounds.

Jen how was shopping last night? Get any good snacks? I have hummus and pita chips, sugar free strawberry jello, sugar free choco pudding, and an apple and reduced fat PB with me. I never know what I am going to be hungery for so I usually have a variety. It drives Woody crazy when we go to Disney. I always have to stock our fridge with a bunch of different things. He is happy eating the same thing every day. Where is the fun in that I ask you!

Shopping went well, I'm all stocked up for about 2 weeks, not including the short trips for more milk, etc.

I have chocolate rice cakes to try, string cheese, merengue cookies, laughing cow light cheese and All-Bran crackers, as well as fruits and vegetables. I also have some sugar free pudding and jello at home to make up. Last night after dinner I cut up the melon I bought so we'd eat it. Tonight I'm going to make dinner (cheeseburger macaroni) and also make another casserole (baked ziti) at the same time and put it in the freezer for next week. Then if I have a bad day and don't want to cook I can just pull it out and bake it.

I'm glad you have insurance - who'd think of an earthquake in the Midwest!

Glad you're allright - you'll have to keep us posted on the basement.

I found out that our earthquake insurance is 15% ... what that basically means is that Jay and I have to eat the repairs to the tune of 15% of the current value of the house and then the insurance will pick up the difference.

Which means that the insurance won't cover squat.

We would have been better off if the stupid thing had just collapsed.

Oops...forgot to add....congrats on the 5 pounds! (Sorry you were sick for 3 weeks to get there, though.... )

WOW looks like I have lots of reading to do today, 32 pages already on thread # 5 and we just started it Wed. night. Boy you guys were talkative yesterday :goodvibes

Those of you BOBers doingthe BL on the WISH thread I went there first this morning. I printed out the challenge list for the week and I just took the realage quiz, still waiting to get my emailed results on that.

I'm going to get myself a cuppa :surfweb: and start reading back!

Well, I just got back my realage score - I'm OLD! Well, my realage score is 3.4 years older than my calendar age....looking through all the rest of the info now....

Sorry to hear that Brenda :grouphug:

I also did the real age quiz and am waiting for the results. I didn't officially sign up, but plan to follow along, it looks interesting.
Did my southern WI friends feel the quake?

B - glad you are okay, you've had your share of weird weather. Hope your house is okay, basement and all. Have fun in Vegas, that is such a fun place to visit.

Nancy - Have a wonderful time this weekend. Can't wait to see pictures.

Andy - LOVE the prints.

Tanya - have fun on your cruise, we want a full report.

Jeff - The grilled cheese place sounds yummy.

Shelley - I love hummus, but usually buy from the store, never tried to make my own, maybe it's not too hard, just lazy. I have it on pretzel crisps, yum, yum.

I went to the grocery store this morning and stocked up on healthy foods too! I found a new 100 Calorie Pack Snack Mister Salty Milk Chocolate Covered Pretzels and of course I had to try them already, they were yummy, granted you don't get very many for 100 calories but hopefully it will be just enough to curb the salty sweet need.
We eat out alot, too much, and this is the first week in a long, long time that we have actually eaten dinner at home every night since Sun. and tonight we have left over night to eat up all the little containers of left overs from the week. I am really going to try and keep making dinner at home more often like this. I can tell it is helping already, I lost 2 pounds this week!

I should get some work done, but it is so rainy & dreary, that sleeping sounds good to me.
I'll check back later.

Hi Cath...are you getting a Wii fit? I was contemplating buying a wii at the beginning of the year, but I heard some unfavourable comments about the graphics not being that great. But I am tempted to get a wii fit.

the Wii is fantastic and the graphics are great. I have only seen the wii fit advertised on the tv and havent looked much into it but anything on the wii is so much fun. Going to look into it more so will let you know if i get one. no idea of price have you, sean just mentioned they are £200, but not sure.
Olivia and her friend are on it now playing olympics.:thumbsup2

Hi Janice I haven't been on here at the same time as you in a long time. How are you guys doing? Keeping busy with the kids and soccer?
None of us felt the quake, we all slept through it. Rach wasn't happy when I asked her about it this morning before school because she said they actaully wasted the whole science class yesterday charting earthquakes and this would probaly lead to some other wasted time science class, can you tell she is ready for this school year to end :rotfl2: Did you guys feel it?

I'm glad you have insurance - who'd think of an earthquake in the Midwest!

Glad you're allright - you'll have to keep us posted on the basement.

It's more common than you think Jen.

I swore one of the worst (or strongest) earthquakes for the US was in the midwest.

I think there was one just a few years ago as well a good one back in the '80's.

Just checked my email again, still waiting for my results. Jen you're not old, you just need BL to get you on track and then I bet if you take the realage test again you'll drop some years!
