Good Wedding Day Eve MG, how's the Mother of the Groom doing this fine Friday morning???

I don't think I'll be contributing much to Team LNT this weekend. We're off and running in a few minutes. Cabo goes to the Animal Motel for the weekend, we have to clean the house (again) because there were too many "kids" here last night, pedicure, manicure, rehersal, rehersal dinner etc...(whoah...did I just bore you all with all that?) Somewhere in between all this, Chuck is golfing with the boys.

Lori and Tanya, make me proud girls. I'm counting on ya!!:cheer2:

Gotta get back to work now, see y'all later...........:wave2:

US Geological Survey downgraded it to 5.2 from 5.4. There are some areas in the city that have had some damage ... I imagine we'll hear more as the day unfolds and people can get out in the daylight. I've checked the walls on our main level and we don't seem to have any plaster or drywall cracks and we only had one item fall off our fireplace mantle - luckily it didn't break.

I'm leaving the basement for Jay ... I just don't have the heart to look.

Thanks Jeff! We do have everything picked out - I just posted the list in a response to Heather, but we're not going to the Wynn ... it was a bit rich for our blood on this trip. We have it on the radar for a future trip, though. It's like V&A ... you kind of have to budget for that one in advance so that you don't have a heart attack when the check shows up.

B,

Glad to hear the upstairs is fine. Let us know what Jay finds in the basement.

I only heard what was on the news and they kept saying 5.4. Either way, I'm sure the people right near the epicenter felt it pretty good.

You'll need to at least walk through the Wynn. It is pretty cool. I'm not sure what the Bartollota's restaurant there goes for. Here, depending if you get drinks, appetizer and desert, you could run $150. Most steaks at Mr. B's are between $30-$40.

Yes, I think this was one of the last sailings for the Empress out of Philly. I saw a ship docked at Philly last week, but I don't know which one it was.

I was looking at next June (2009) and they didn't have one sailing from there at that time.

I think it may be a June 2010 cruise for us.

I actually have some free flights on AirTran I will have to use by July 2009, so we'll probably do a land-based trip next June.

Thanks Goose, but I was talking the car.

I was set that I wouldn't pay a lot to have it fixed since I could probably only get $500 for it, but now that gas is pushing $4.00, and seeing that the car gets 30 mpg (sometimes up to 32 mpg), I think it is worth a few hundred to fix it. If we save over $125 a month in gas and I pay $500 for fixing it up, I will pay for it in 4 months.

Someone did hit in a parking lot and there was about $550 of damage to the bumper (and that was just scrapes). I pocketed the money. Why get that fixed if it doesn't effect the mechanics of the car or get me more money?

So Nancy, do you have time for lunch then today? :rotfl2:

AAA has route as SR60..:confused3

No HD in my portfolio...:thumbsup2

Just HD best ride at 45 MPG :goodvibes

Walt :cool1:

I'll have to look into that route.

I know Highway 60 from Hartford to Grafton, but not to the west of the state. I'll see what towns it goes through.

Hey everyone...

Brenda - glad to hear you're ok! Have fun in Vegas! We've never been there, still trying to decide if we want to go. There are so many places to travel to...hard to pick sometimes!

Nancy - I've probably missed you already but best wishes for the happy couple, and the whole family. Enjoy the wedding!

For everyone that has asked for a new pic of me.........I will post one from our vacation in a couple of weeks. I'm not big on pictures of me so I don't have a new one yet.

You need some pics of you! And you'll like them now with the "new" you! You're gorgeous!:lovestruc

You had better get practising as sean is very competative, on wii sports he likes the golf, olivia is fab at bowling and i am the champion boxer.:thumbsup2
Is your dad and family coming this weekend, i read the debate about your nephew coming - how did it get resolved?

Hi Cath! DS is staying at home. He has got to learn how important school work is. I did give him his electronics back for spring break but he has to do three or four pages of "school work" each day before going outside--the weather here is beautiful.

One reason I didn't give in is he had a special ticketed dinner with his dad coming up and his sister gets the ticket if his grades don't improve! We've got to work on it.

Not sure if I can convince Suz to go non-DCL, but how else are you going to do Bermuda? DCL doesn't go there. We actually seen an article somewhere talking about ships going to Bermuda and a person was quoted saying Disney will NOT be back.

That's sort of what I meant by "adult", I think. The atmosphere already seems so much less "magical" than DCL. Of course, I will enjoy the grownup things with hubby, but we can do those on DCL, too. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised!
:goodvibes

You'll have to give us a full review of the cruise...I'm curious about non-DCL cruises....

I'll try to post some info from RCCL. I did choose a very cool excursion. I am going to try and book it later today.

Touring the island on a Segway--those stand up things. I just need to show DH and book! I wanted to try parasailing but haven't found that yet!

Now really, I MUST get back to spring cleaning. :sad2:
I'll be back on my lunch break!
