Hi Cath.....glad to see you here.:thumbsup2 Did Olivia enjoy her week away. How did you and Sean manage without the princess?

Hi lori, it was awful without her, kept texting during the day and a rang her every night and then text again before bed. What a pesty mother.
When we met her at the bus when she came home she cried too!! bless.
she had a good time though without us at her favourite aunts and uncles.
Hey did you get a wii for your early birthday present?

For everyone that has asked for a new pic of me.........I will post one from our vacation in a couple of weeks. I'm not big on pictures of me so I don't have a new one yet.

Jeff, I have no idea of the answer yet either. I haven't peeked yet. I do love this book though. There is a hunt for all the parks and Scott and I are going to do some of them when we go soon.

I am still home on this Fri morning.....got to sleep in:cool1: .

Julia has her physical and shot this morning to start school this fall.:scared1:

Just dropped my baby girl off at school, now it's time to get ready for work. Hazel leaves at 10:30 this morning for her Ladies Retreat, so Lina and I will be eating out quite a bit this weekend........;)

Morning all - I found you!

We had a 5.2 magnitude earthquake this morning about 4:30 ... what a weird feeling. We haven't really checked the house much for damage ... we're mostly worried about the foundation since we already have so many cracks there to begin with.

The good news ... we do have earthquake insurance!!! :thumbsup2

Hope everyone is well ... I'm off soon to get caught up at the bank because we're leaving Sunday morning for Vegas!!

Is it just you and your hubby going on that cruise? Isn't it the one to Bermuda?

I'd just tour the island and then find a beach. It looks beautiful there.

That is one cruise I want to do. Maybe June '09 or '10. We have 2 weeks from when DS gets out of school and the summer camps start.

Don't want to go in Winter, Bermuda is too cold.

Not sure where I'd like to sail from - Philly, NJ, or Charleston. I really like Charleston and would spend some time there, but Philly and NJ are really easy to get to from here. NJ would have the bigger ships, but Philly would have some touring we could do before the trip.

Not sure if Baltimore has cruises to Bermuda or not. We can find flights from MKE to BWI for under $120 during some sales.

Here is RCCL Empress of the Seas leaving Philly last September. My boss and his wife were on this sailing to Bermuda. It was a 6 day cruise and made two different port stops on Bermuda. I took this pic from the Jersey side of the Delaware River, not too far from my house.

Stay safe Brenda....have a fab time in Vegas. Have you decided what you are doing whilst you're there?

Is your dad and family coming this weekend, i read the debate about your nephew coming - how did it get resolved?

Hi Cath...are you getting a Wii fit? I was contemplating buying a wii at the beginning of the year, but I heard some unfavourable comments about the graphics not being that great. But I am tempted to get a wii fit.

Hi Heather! Yes, we've pretty well mapped things out - there's a link in my signature to our travel blog that lists a lot of the details if you get bored some day and want to check it out.

We've got dinner reservations at Red Square, Isla Mexican Kitchen, Alize, Le' Atelier (Joel Robuchon), and Aquaknox. We've also got a dessert tasting set up at Payard's.

We have our tickets to the Star Trek Experience...we may ride some of those scary rides at the Stratosphere...we're meeting up with some of Jay's online friends...and Jay's aunt and uncle are meeting us for dinner a couple of evenings, too.

Glad to hear everything is o.k. down in your area B.

The news up here is just wall to wall on it because some people felt it here. 5.4 is what we've been hearing. Might be the strongest one for this area, but I thought there was one in the middle of the 1900's stronger than that. That fault like is actually suppose to be very active.

Have a great time in Vegas. I didn't get over to your blog (I'll have to do that soon), did you pick your restaurants? Are you going to Bartolata's (sp?) in the Wynn? There is suppose to be a 30 min show on him on one of the cable channels (and I don't think it was the food network). It was in yesterday's paper. I'll see if it is still at work.

They are sailing a different ship now from Philly. I think the Granduor (sp?) of the Seas. I also see they sail from Norfolk in '09. Although I didn't see Philly as a port then.

The Explorer sails from New Jersey -that is one of the Big Boats (138,000 tons).

Not sure if I can convince Suz to go non-DCL, but how else are you going to do Bermuda? DCL doesn't go there. We actually seen an article somewhere talking about ships going to Bermuda and a person was quoted saying Disney will NOT be back.

O.K., looks like I'm back to not reading far enough ahead again. :rotfl:

Sounds like you will have a great time. :thumbsup2

US Geological Survey downgraded it to 5.2 from 5.4. There are some areas in the city that have had some damage ... I imagine we'll hear more as the day unfolds and people can get out in the daylight. I've checked the walls on our main level and we don't seem to have any plaster or drywall cracks and we only had one item fall off our fireplace mantle - luckily it didn't break.

I'm leaving the basement for Jay ... I just don't have the heart to look.

Thanks Jeff! We do have everything picked out - I just posted the list in a response to Heather, but we're not going to the Wynn ... it was a bit rich for our blood on this trip. We have it on the radar for a future trip, though. It's like V&A ... you kind of have to budget for that one in advance so that you don't have a heart attack when the check shows up.

Yes, I think this was one of the last sailings for the Empress out of Philly. I saw a ship docked at Philly last week, but I don't know which one it was.

Nancy, I hope you have a wonderful, wonderful weekend!

Go Team LNT! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks Tanya! Tony was here last night and he is so excited now. The two of us are very close and we got so goofy last night. We were laughing so hard I had to lay down on the floor because my stomach was hurting so bad.:rotfl2:

I knew I kept the old thing for some reason (not to mention it is a great winter car - if I get hit, who cares).

Me.

I've been spending some time looking over the RC cruise info. Much more "adult" atmostphere than Disney. Not sure I like it. Also, not many choices for excursions--alot of glass bottom boats. I want to see what is available beyond RC choices.

How the heck is Team LNT going to win if you take off on us?:confused3 Can you assign a Proxy please? :upsidedow

Glad you're ok B. On the news this morning they were saying that you could feel it here. Of all the times I sleep I had to sleep through this one??

Would've been kind of cool if someone was getting their first kiss at that very moment. A new meaning to "And the earth shook", huh?:flower3:
