Goodmorning/afternoon everyone  It looks like you guys were very chatty yesterday after I left for work. I have lots of reading to do here this morning :goodvibes

First, thanks to all of you who continue to ask about my dad and Spencer.

My dad is coming home on Saturday! :yay: The nursing home decided that there is nothing further they can do for him and that he has improved enough to come home!!   (And the fact that Medicare won't pay for him to be there anymore). :goodvibes Chuck and Tony are going to set everything up for him tonight. Hospital bed, additional railings for the basement stairs, & walker ramp outside. He is so excited to finally come home. He never thought he'd ever see his house again. Now we just have to get him to move from that lousy neighborhood they live in.

Spencer is also going home on March 11th. :yay: He still has a few problems from the brain injuries but again, Medicade is done paying his way too. He will be on permanent disability too. He has come such a long way and looks so much better. He lost 65 pounds after the accident and put 70 back on since Christmas!! He never wants to ride motorcycle again. The outline of his body is still on the street where the accident happened. They must have used paint instead of chalk. He also said he will NEVER drive past that spot...ever!! He will live with his mom at an apartment (she moved out of her house because of the recent attack/burglary) until July and will move with her to Arizona then.

Thanks again for all your pm's everyone, the thoughts, prayers, and dust stuff and for all of you who contributed to the making of his cd's. He absolutely loved them all. :lovestruc

:grouphug: :grouphug: From us to all of you! :grouphug: :grouphug:

Nancy Excellent news about your Dad and Spencer :yay: :yay: So glad to hear they are both doing better. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Am I the only one who feels like I'm being flashed by chipmunks everytime I see Chip & Dale in everyone's signature line (including my own)? :rotfl2:

I didnt even get chance to look around:eek: - where did that week go?

Theres loads of stuff we didnt do.

Geez! - I barely managed to get my hair dried let alone styled in time for early dinner:rolleyes1

I hardly ever got the chance for makeup either - it was a quick shower, dressed, blast my hair with the hairdryer and out the door:eek:

I need to plan better:rolleyes:

Maybe the split bathroom will help us next time.

I think we are going to have some "challenges" with getting ready for dinner on time this cruise with Rachel bringing her friend we'll have 2 teenage girls needing to get ready. HELP what was I thinking when I said yes to that :rotfl2:

Add me to the list Cheryl we'll get that girl some extra spending money!:thumbsup2

She could be quite busy, Rachel hairstylist to the Bobers ;)

Curses! Foiled Again! :lmao:

Does that make this an FA? A Failed attempt? Should I just go work out and leave everyone alone?

I have the day off to run errands for Stacys Bridal shower this Sunday. I have WW this morning and then off with Kristin for shopping. Tomorrow, my daddy comes home from the nursing home so we're having a little celebration. Just a little one because he hates to be fussed over. :cutie: Sunday is the Bridal shower, so that'll take up the entire day. I'll be sure to post pictures.

Nancy sounds like a busy but fun weekend. Enjoy!

HEY!! AFEG ...this blind woman just sent you a love note! :cutie:

I wsa reading everyone's posts last night about vision getting wonky as you get older ... here's my gripe:

I've been wearing glasses since I was 7 years old - I'm so nearsighted that I'm a minor celebrity whenever I go into the opthalmologist's office for my annual eye exam. The technicians all want to sit in on my exam ... last month one actually said, "I've never met anyone as young as you with a minus 13 prescription."

Gee, thanks.

Anyway, what I've started noticing is now I can't see fine print up close. And since I work with financial statements and things of that nature all day it's been very frustrating. So now they tell me that in addition to being a super-nearsighted freak I'm also becomnig far-sighted and may need to add bi-focals to my prescription soon. :scared:

It already costs more than $600 to get my lenses made ... can you imagine what would happen if I had to add the bifocal to that? :headache:

Getting old totally sucks!

Well, since my plans got shot down for a Florida escape in March during the kid's Spring Break, Hazel and I are going to try again to get-away to Florida for a few days in May while Angelina is on her band/choir trip to Chicago. I got us some good fares on Southwest for $79 each way.

We will drop Angelina off at the high school at 5am, then we will be heading to the airport around 9am. We are due back in the same day as Angelina, we get in at 3pm, and Angelina is due back at the school at 10:30pm that night.

Hazel and I will fly in and out of Philly, the band/choir trip goes to Newark, NJ for their flights.

Hey, 5 days away, is better than no days away!!! :thumbsup2

Andy glad you'll be able to get away to FL afterall!
