Ellis did his karate grading - they dont tell them whether they've passed or not (but I think he has:goodvibes )

He'll be a yellow ands white stripe grade once they give out the belts after Easter.:goodvibes

Woo hooo Go Ellis :woohoo:

Yeah, that's what i said! I had checked the airport website and got the schedules and waited for the Air France 747 to land but it was late and we had to get back to the ship so be prepared for the planes to be delayed.

great eastern pics cass.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

When I was going through my pics, I was looking in the background for you guys just in case I got you again but I didn't. I found a pic on CC that I thought was you two but these people were in white shirts and I think you were wearing a lime green shirt that day right?

OK, this is me now............:surfweb:.............my laptop is in a million pieces on the livingroom floor..............just kidding people, I only turned it off because it was driving me so

That's awesome Bendy!!! :thumbsup2 Go Canucks Go!!! :woohoo:

That's a really good shot of you guys, did they take it for you and sell it???

It looks like something we would do if I didn't have joint pain.

Yeah, they had their "guys" following both yachts at one point during the race and told us when to look at the camera so they could get a good group shot.

And of course once it was over they took us back to their little store to sell us stuff (but they also gave us "free" rum punch!!!). I think we paid about $15 for the picture, but like I said ... how often does anyone in the "real" world get a chance to sail on a racing yacht?

And I hear ya on the pain thing ... although that trip for me was made difficult because of the issues I was having with Endo. I just gave myself a stern talking to that morning and said ... "Self, you and your ovarian cysts are just going to have to suck it up because we're going to have some freaking fun. You just wait until this afternoon to start firing those pain receptors and we'll talk vicodin then!" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It worked, too! ;)

I think with chronic pain it would be harder, but you can tell the tour operators that you don't want to be involved in any "work" and they'll just let you come along for the ride. It really was a fun experience - one of the highlights of the cruise for us. :thumbsup2

Loved the pics Bendy, how cool for you!!!!! :thumbsup2

Wow it looks fantastic. Its torture having to wait until next oct to go.
What have you got planned for st maaten? Seeing the planes coming over that beach would b awesome:dance3:

Have nothing planned yet for either port. Not done any research yet. I would love to see a plane come in but like Cass said you got to check out the schedules and hope one is due the time we are in port. I could happily sit in Sunset beach bar sipping coctails watching a 747 whizz over my head:goodvibes

Thanks Andy - definitely a fun excursion. We got our money's worth, that's for sure.

Great photos Benda:thumbsup2 - you look like a real "action girl!"

:rotfl2: Action girl ... usually my exercise on vacation is the arm / wrist motion used to lift the drink to my mouth. :lmao:

It didn't hurt that I spent most of the cruise working along side the "captain" in the blue polo. Mark, I think his name was, and he was from Australia and he was dreamy. Once the race was over he asked me if I wanted to "drive" the yacht. :thumbsup2

I know I wasnt' asked but I love the eastern way more than the western. We only went on the western last time for Mike and Missy. They had never done it before. We had done both and preferred the Eastern. And still do. That's my 2 cents worth, even though you didn't ask.:rotfl2:

Sorry Lori. I really am interested in what EVERYONE thinks. I only asked the other three because they were so worried about being re-routed to another Eastern. :flower3:

Just a few photos (not mine) of David Winter Cottages:

I've been collecting for about 25 years now and I have run out of room. David has also stopped making any more, as the demand for these lovely sculptures as completely stopped.

Those look beautiful Heather. We collected are certain brand name of Christmas Village houses but they got too expensive for us.

Lori, don't feel bad :sad1: I wasn't asked either  but I like the Eastern more myself as well...........;) ;) ;)

Love Ya Nan...........:goodvibes

Love ya too And.....:goodvibes

Yes Charro was in one already. And those tube socks were popular back then. Key words here Mike....."Back then". :rotfl:

I'll go look for some other pics Karen. That one was amazing!!

:rotfl2: Action girl ... usually my exercise on vacation is the arm / wrist motion used to lift the drink to my mouth. :lmao:

Maho Beach pics compliments of Jo and Danny.

So I am starting to research our 10 year anniversary trip. I would like to do a Hawaii Cruise. Scott had never been. So it is time to start looking now to see what is out there.

Are you going to do this Nancy?

Cass - how do I find the schedule for the airport? I know ita too early to look yet but how did you know a plane was due in?

We're not really sure what we'll do this time Karen. If Maho Beach doesn't have it's beach anymore, then I'd have to find a different one that we can see the planes from. I would love to see those planes. :thumbsup2

I'm not surprised it doesn't have its beach anymore. :scared1: The island looks amazing though.

The Guavaberry Emporium is sure going to be a happening place ... why don't you all join us there? ;)

Actually, Jay and I never made it over to the French side of the island, so we really want to do that when we're in port this time. I guess we'll go Guavaberry once we get back to the Dutch side of the island. :thumbsup2
