Hello Life? Where'd you go? I need you. :lmao:

Good morning to all.

We had another day of bride dress shopping to no avail. :sad1: That girl is just too darn picky. She's going to end up wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt if she doesn't find something soon.

Jesse's parents threw an Engagement party for everyone at a resort yesterday and we did have a lot of fun. We went out for dinner but the place was swamped with prom goers, so we had to wait over 1 hour for tables. The waitress was crappy, the food was lousy and cold, and Chuck and I footed the entire bill. YIKES!! 9 adults with alcoholic beverages, appetizers, dinners and desserts.

Anyone want to guess the final bill (including mandatory 18% tip)?

But, great conversation and time spent with family is truly priceless, right?
:lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

I'm really hoping for a little down-time today though. I sure could use a day with nothing to do....except work on my DIStag gifts! :rotfl2: (Really). :lmao:

Have they set a date yet? You may have posted already and I missed it.

What type of food or which restaurant first.

Regarding the 18%, let me guess automatic because you had more than 6, or 8, correct? If service was crappy, then I would have talked to the manager about the "automatic" tip.

It was the Highland House in Sheboygan by the Blue Harbor Resort. I'd compare it to a Friday's with a few more expensive items though.

Mornin' Sistah P

The reception hall contracts get signed this week and they set the date for November 22nd, 2008.

The catering contract gets signed in another week, and the beverage contract is also in the mail. Just waiting to hear back from the church now.

After those four things are secured, we'll be looking at photographers, dj's and flowers.

I'm working on my newly acquired photoshop skills for the "Save the Date" cards today.

Amazing the people have to do the "save the date" cards. Back when we got married, it was just send the invite out.

People's lives are just go, go, go now days.

What are Save the Date cards?

Just a reminder for people to pencil in the date on their calendars. The official invite will follow in early October sometime.

I want to be "myself" in answering this question, but it is a card you send out just telling them that you're having an event on a certain day and that they should put it in their calendars so that they can attend your event.

Looks like the early morning Trio (Andy, Joanne, Melody) have left us. Guess it is just us 3 now, or did you guys leave me too?

Guess you two left (or are talking via a PM behind my back). :sad1:

We're also finalizing the invitation list today from our side. Mistakes were made the first time with Tony and Stacy which will be rectified this time around. Our side is still smaller than Jesse's side but since we are paying for close to all of this wedding, I have a little more say-so on the lists.

I handed the kids a check yesterday with the caveat that our list remains untouched. :thumbsup2

Gotcha. Sorry, Country Bumpkin here. I can see why you would want to try to make them yourself. Just in stamps alone, that must be a big expense for y'all, Nancy.

We were so lucky when we were married. Rob's parents paid for half of our wedding. My parents were so grateful for that.
