It's really nice here today, but tomorrow is supposed to be bad. Why is it every weekend for the last few weeks has been yucky. I have yet to work on the tan!!! I got homelast night and there were six kids in the pool. I am glad someone is enjoying it.

I've never been in the cove cafe either. I am not a coffee drinker and all the smoke right outside makes me crazy. But I will let all of you know in September.

There won't be any more smoking area on our cruise, it's been moved to the Starboard side :woohoo: :cool1: :thumbsup2

I just got a phone call from Diana at the Radisson. She will send me an email on Mon. or before including what is involved in booking a block of rooms, cancellation policies when you book a block of rooms and she will include rates for the Fri. Oct.23,2009 for a group rate for a romm only, a room and including breakfast and for a park & cruise rate.

Cass I hope I'm not stepping on your toes with this, when I called this morning I didn't realize you had started checking on this too. If you want to handle this it's fine with me :goodvibes

Nope, not at all. Kira was busy playing with her daddy when it came up on the thread so I decided to email them. Feel free to take over :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Unless we get a fabulous rate, I don't want to stay at the Country Inn again. I prefer the Radisson, so if you can get us a great rate them go for it :goodvibes Thanks for doing it Cheryl. I'm not a phone person, I'm an email person :rolleyes1 :lmao: You'll get better and faster results with the phone, so you go girl!! :woohoo:

Ok then I'll continue to work on this :goodvibes By doing this you guys are letting me pretend to do what is one of my dream jobs, working as a travel agent ;) , unfortunately they don't make nearly the money I make at my "real" job so I'll never be one.

So I finally got DS's 2008-2009 schedule for school.

His 3-day weekend in late Winter will be Mar 6-8.

In checking, the Magic is on one of the special Easterns that stops in St. Croix. Suz said she needs a window, so we'd have to go minimum Cat 9. That would be $3,500 for just the cruise without any discounts.

On Mar 5th, the Wonder sails and they have SPH rooms available and would only be about $1,400 for the cruise. We would fly down Tues night and do the parks on Wednesday.

The other Disney option would be to just go to WDW for the weekend (fly down Wed night and back on Sunday).

The other trips we were thinking were either Jamaica or Mexico for the week.

Not sure which one would be best. We haven't been on a "beach" vacation in some time.

Suz will have to see if her boss will let her off at this time as well.

I need to get a real job some day. I just sit and DIS all day right now. :rotfl:

I've also been surfing the 'net for hotels near O'Hare that do free extended parking. Our flight to AZ leaves at 8:10 am, so I think we might drive down the night before.

The absolute cheapest parking at O'Hare is $9/day (x8 days is $72) and I've fould a couple hotels in the $89-99/night rate with free parking for 10-14 days plus airport shuttle.

Jen we've stayed at the Embassy Suites in Rosemont and they're parking was in a covered garage. This was 5 years ago and we got a good rate then, not sure what they're park and fly rate is now. We've also stayed at the Marriottt Residence Inn in Rosemont. Both we're nice hotels :thumbsup2

Your lucky you can DIS at work! Using the internet at work for non-work related things has really become frowned upon. I don't do it anymore. That's why I need 1 or 2 days off a week so that I can have time to DIS :rotfl:

How did you get so many tables? We had to wait forever for just one. It took a few pina colada's until they called our name.

Although they don't take ressies after 4pm, we were told to call and let them know how many people we had coming over and they would do their best to get as many tables together for us. When I called, I told them we had 52 people meeting and we would be there around 4:30. When I got here at 4:15 the tables were ready and waiting for us. I think everyone was there by 4:30.
